Thanks for sharing your process. Mentioning volume checks, decisions and revisions to the rough sketch helps me understand I don't have to get right the 1st time. Also that part about erasing the overlapping lines to refine shapes was a knew idea to me. Sometimes it's hard to translate the model sketch into a finished figure or pose the way the instruction books do. Hearing and seeing your thought process is helpful for figuring out my own. CORRECT, You don't have to get it right the first time. Once I removed that from my mind Drawing/Sketching became more enjoyable. It allows you to enjoyable the process and the journey of creating. As far as Dr. J, I haven't heard that. My friends and I were young when he was playing. I do look just like my Dad. If I recall, he did receive some Dr. J comparisons. Great Observation.
