No, Catnap is still pure evil. Don't try to sympathize with him or humanize him. He's still a cold, selfish, unfeeling monster, as proven when he locked up and tortured the other critters for not agreeing with him. Did he show any sign of remorse for torturing and killing the Smiling Critters because they didn't agree with his beliefs? The answer is no he didn't, and he deserves every bit of karma.

You gotta remember, Theo was a child, and children can be very easily manipulated. I’m not saying Catnap was innocent or that it made what he did okay, but I definitely believe he was manipulated.
Even though I've never seen Chapter 3, I still think this is a very impressive and amazing animation. I like the way DogDay's voice glitched back and forth between his two voice actors and I can tell the bond between CatNap and DogDay is strong through this animation alone. This is absolutely beautiful my heart is touched and I have tears pouring from my eyes. This is how Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 should've ended, to bring us all closure instead of pain and sadness. Its sad that everyone is dead but now they are all together and happy.

They really should’ve made an alternative ending for us to feel like we have “control” in how the story goes on, or in this case, ends. If this was an alternate ending, no shot I’d flood my room with tears. This was just, tragically wholesome. Really tugs at your heart strings tightly. Major kudos to this animation, it was very well done by everyone involved!
I actually like the idea of DogDay and CatNap being the best friends, always nice to see the opposites get along. With DogDay, light-colored dog with sun-shaped zip being the leader and CatNap, dark-colored cat with moon-shaped zip being an outcast. There is a theory they were/still are friends in Chapter 3 and DogDay was still alive because CatNap wanted to give him a chance to change his mind about Prototype but mini-critters being angry at us for fighting them off with orange hand decided to kill DogDay (against CatNap's order) and use his body to eliminate us... And this theory actually has a place to be... Animation - nice Voice acting - cool Ending - perfect I am not a critter but you made me smile, that is for sure. Thank you))
Are they supposed to recognize each other simply with appearances? You know, it is pretty easy to recognize your friend with just their walk cycle or something like that if you know their behaviour good enough. If you have a real friend you will recognize them whatever happens

Thx u so much for giving us the "true" ending, I have never been a fan of this game (some consequeces because of the fan animation...) but this chapter really hit me so much. The 2 chapter with Mommy Long Legs had so much horror talent but it was too much short and with this chapter everything changed. Finally I can call this a horror game the only thing is that the endings of all Chapter need to be more emotional like this..and some characters need a true backstory like Dogday for this ending for me we would have had a possibility to save Dogday instead of forsake him (like Mrs.Delight too) but the game has different plans unfortunately...this ending also describe the friendship with Dogday and Catnap and I liked it very much thx u again
