ALEPPO, SYRIA | What's It Like to Be a Tourist in ALEPPO?
Вставка
- Опубліковано 3 чер 2024
- Travelling to Aleppo was one of the toughest travel experiences I've had. The city and the people who call it home have gone through a nightmare in recent years.
I'm very lucky to have been able to visit Aleppo as an independent, foreign traveller and I hope that this video can convey some of what I experienced there, from my personal perspective.
Please note: this vlog documents my personal trip to Syria, as a tourist. It is not necessarily a travel recommendation, nor a commentary on the political climate, nor an attempt to show the ordinary life of Syrian citizens.
Thank you for watching! If you liked this vlog, come follow me on Instagram for daily updates from destinations that most other tourists don't go to:

Oh God, you passed through the street where I grew up, to record really cried, thank you from the bottom of the heart
@I am You Last week, 60 people were killed in the city of Idlib alone, and you tell me now, go to your country and its age, I will go when I find the right time, and you stay in your country and leave options to their owners
@I am You You are a racist average of wanted? Is it sitting in your home? What is the way you created from them you are really human beings?
@@ramadanalsayed3721 hello, Idlib is only 100 km away from your home, so I really understand you. I met and became friend with a syrien in my university class in germany, he said most of Syria is safe- he also wants to go back after his study. Be safe and all best for you:) cheers

fortunately most of Syria is now gudgud except for Idlib where those rebels still have some control... but npnp they'll get fucked up right In their main chick soon.
I'm not with Bashar but I'm against the rebels and I dislike such ways that some dumb moron-minded unevolved people who need heavy intellectual assistance use when they try to make the country better... this is just not the way obviously.
I’ve cried my eyes of watching this video. I’ve never been to Syria and have a strong wish to visit it. As a musician and artist, Syrian music is and it’s culture is an great inspiration to me.
Thank you for this video and I hope that Syrian people will soon be happy and enjoing every corner of their beautiful country.

Syrian people to give you hope, look at Poland - Warsow. It was destroyed during World War 2 in 90%. No much was left. But people rebuild it, all together. It raised like a fenix from the ashes. Keep strong. We love you
the big problem in Syria that in order to start rebuilding it the war must be over. as long as the current dictatorship regime still in power the war won't be over and Syrians won't be able to return to their country to rebuild it. but the world powers are not welling to end this war as Russia is backing up ASSAD regime against Syrians.
@@abdulwarethlaham7112 Childlike description of the conflict. At its height there were almost 30 different factions fighting. This wasn't a simplistic 'good guys vs bad guys' affair, it was extremely complex. The biggest problem with long-term conflict in the middle east is the many, many Islamic militias. As long as Islam exists there will NEVER be peace. You should look further afield than the mainstream media propaganda narrative.
@Patricia Doran those are a tiny fraction that came to battle later, before the arrival or Russians there were only Syrians fighting for their freedom.
Russians and Iranians are not Syrians aswell and they are backing Assad's regime and bombing Syrian cities against Syrians well. those who created all that devastation.
@@musashidanmcgrath this is a very simplistic Russians propaganda driven comment. it was and still a simple people vs dictator situation. what ruined the cities are the airstrikes that killed most of Syrians, airstrikes are only carried by the regime and the Russians. islam has nothing to do with this. Bashar al Assad first attacked all the left Syrians and released the Islamists that he got in prison from the iraq days to shuffle all the cards, so that he can kill as much as he wants and no one would ask him why since he is pretending that he is fighting terrorists. while he is terrorizing the Syrian people day an night.
@@abdulwarethlaham7112 I'm not just talking about Syria, I'm talking about the daily conflict all across the middle east. Islam is always at the heart of it. Even if the U.S, Britain, Russia, etc stayed out of the middle east altogether, Islam would still be murdering its way across the region, just as it has been non-stop for 1400 years.
Watching made me really emotional, I am Syrian and haven’t been there since 2011, I really miss living in Damascus and my trips on the weekend to Aleppo.

Eva, I very much enjoy watching your VLOG’s. The reason that I enjoy them so much is because of how much you care for your subjects, be it a place as Aleppo in this case, of for the people you meet and interview. I saw a bit of Syria in the mid 70’s and it was only a very brief passage from Turkey (by road) to Jordan. I have always breaded of going back but it has not worked out. I really hope you can become a highly acclaimed film maker who can continue to expose many wonderful countries around the world with their wonderful inhabitants, and be able to highlight the similarities between all of us. I wish you much luck and success. Your attitude to your work is so impressive and heart-warming, never change.

Im in tears, it's my home town
God bless you ,Aleppo will rise again,
My home town Hamburg got destroyed during World War II. 80% of its buildings were ruins and the situation for the people was of course terrible. The generations before me had rebuilt the city. As a kid born in 1982, I walked in a prosperous and rich city. All the terrible images and destruction being gone and all the horror of the time after the war was long forgotten. Trees flourished, children playing, families going out and life was safe.
I wish for you that your children and grandchildren in the decades to come during this century will walk in Haleb and say the very same things as I did above and speak about their childhood in the city of Haleb, rebuilt by its locals, as a lovely time. I have a feeling this will happen and I have a feeling you will still be alive to smile at them not knowing what it was like in these years now when they live a happy life.

@neil eastell I am not sure we are talking about compensation here. For example should US and UK also be paying Iraq for the wrong attack (remember the misinformation regarding WMD?). We are talking about getting on with life and learning from the mistakes of the past.
@neil eastell I am sure the official request from Iraqi people was communicated through the UN and a deal was struck.
Srinivas Varanasi As an american I can say that we (the US) should absolutely be paying Iraq for the total demolition and destruction of their country. Unfortunately, as we are totally broke, we would be totally ruined financially were we to pay this debt.

I truly tell you that every event requested and written in the Kingdom of Heaven is fulfilled with divine precision; because everything is perfect in the Father; here is a weeping and gnashing of teeth, of a whole world that trusted blind people of the faith; because no one is exclusive in their own beliefs; nor did anyone ask to be one; I truly tell you, religious of the world, that your humility is not true humility; because there are many kinds of humility; true humility is born from among the suffering; among the most suffered of the suffered; you forget very often that you are leading the judgment of God; because from you came out to be the first to teach what is of God; who is dedicated to being the first, to teach others what is of the Father, that is the first to be called to judgment; the Father first attends to him; this is a final judgment; because for the Father the first are the humble; there are infinite kinds of first grade; Truly I say to you, that the first among the first is the one who was most despised among you; therefore, whoever did not consider himself despised in life, be sure, that he is not the first in the divine presence of the Father; Here is another cry and gnash of teeth, one of those who most enjoyed the strange system of life based on gold; because they did not know contempt; who asked the Father to know the most painful of an existence, that has a greater prize; .- Alpha and Omega IF A RELIGIOUS DOES NOT ENTER THE KINGDOM OF HEAVENS, BY DIVIDING THE WORLD IN MANY BELIEFS, OTHERS THAT BY SERVING THE FATHER'S SCRIPTURES, ALSO DIVIDED, THESE DO ENTER THE FATHER'S KINGDOM; THERE ARE INFINITE DIVISION CLASSES; BETWEEN RELIGIOUS CONCEPTS AND THE DIVINE SCRIPTURES OF FATHER JEHOVAH, FIRST ARE THE SCRIPTURES OF THE FATHER; THE RELIGIOUS CONCEPTS REQUESTED THE FATHER TO BE TRIALED AND JUDGED, ACCORDING TO THE WORK OF THE SPIRIT.-
My country mexico love siria people
What a brave girl. Loved you and your experiences. Thank you for guiding us through your way of seeing things, people and places.
Wow Eva, I really felt your emotion in this vlog. May there be peace and prosperity again in Syria.
thank you for your unbiased, authentic documentary and tour of a city I've only heard of recently in the news. It is devastating to see such an ancient, historical city be instantly damaged by someone else's command, with the press of a button and ruin generations. While we bask in subdivision neighborhoods. Thank you for your tour.
Aleppo is the oldest continuously inhabited city in the world
I'm a syrian
And thank you for coming to our country as we said every human have two homes, his home.. And syria
But believe me we are a strong people, and all this damage won't break us, and won't depress us, and someday, we will build our country back ❤️
All love for you, and you are more than welcome in syria❤️🖤💚
I cried this entire video seeing you pass by makes my heart go crazy, it’s just that I haven’t been there in 10 years wow.
Thank you. This is the second time I watched this. It has made me explore and investigate my own thoughts, soul, and future.
RIP to all those that lost their lives and to centuries of history
don't see much gender equality among the people re-building the city, however
History is continuing...
@joebob oh, my bad. I agree, Islam treats woman well.
@joebob over 70% of Syrians are from an Islamic faith. Syria is, as such, an Islamic country.
@@whattaboy209 I don't know what brought you to take this to gender equality the man was just saying rip to those who died, you just want a reason to hate
Watching this brought me in tears. The agony of innocent souls breaks my heart.
Very true
Hello

never mess with israel again, thats your lesson
Monika Bataitytė shame to you.
Monika Bataitytė: WOW!!! 'I think you have absolutely nothing understanding !!!' Very, very sad!'
@@monikabataityte4283 Syria is fighting against many countries. One on one the result would be very different.
I felt tears while watching this video. I couldn't imagine how devastated for Syrians
I can't belive what i found. This is Gold, you're gold
It is heartbreaking but with the hope and determination Aleppo will rise again. Thank you for this amazing blog
Never been to Syria...it made me have a deeper empathy with Syrians there... You did it great Eva, deeply and dearly emotional commentary of what it feels to be there. Good job!
My love from Indonesia to all of syrian people who suffered in the last few years..

(i'm sorry for my bad english)
Despite the bad things happened in the City of Allepo...you can still see and feel the beauty of it..and hopefully the harmony of that city will come back again..
This is a amazing and genuine look at this town so savagely ravaged by war. Thank you
no more war for all around the world, with love from Thailand
Salam from indonesia
War starts by people
Watching this and couldn't imagine what was it like being there losing everything till death. This breaks my heart into million pieces. May God The Almighty shine the brightest light in their graves and grant them into the highest rank of his heaven. Ameen. Also With lots of love from Thailand :)
it truly is heartbreaking to see what humanity is able to do to fellow brothers and sister, but it’s watching people trying to rebuild their home and smiling trough the process what makes me believe in human kind again, sending lots of love to all Syrians and hoping they can safely return to their home soon 💕
Eva you are amazing! .... you are opening the eyes of people who would never dream of visiting certain places because of media bias. It’s easy traveling to ‘soft and comfortable’ destinations . You deserve huge respect. Kudos to you and keep up the wonderful work you are doing.
Wow! This may be the first comment that I have ever posted on UA-cam, but I was so impressed by how you produced this, and your view of Syria. I have seen some other vlogs from Syria, and this really make me want to go there. You seem like a young beautiful lady but with 1000 years of knowledge. Love from Oslo - Norway to you and the Syrian people:)
Great video by a best vlogger Eva Zu Beck love Syria.
My heart, my soul my blood belongs to Aleppo! They destroyd the best and most beautiful place on earth! Not only the most beautiful place on earth but the most beautiful people with the biggest hearts! Aleppo is not a selfish city youre neighbor is your family the people is youre family there is only love by the people and that is how aleppo is going to be remembered forever! My heart and my soul bleed for my beautiful halab!
Don't worry dear.nobody can destroy your dreams to grow
I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart.
What a beautiful story to share. Thanks for bringing us along on your travels.
The *funny* thing is - I've travelled the world at the most dangerous times for various countries (Mozambique and I did "the gun run" (a couple decades ago), or Venezuela during civil war (okay 17 years ago) and I've always found the people to be lovely, kind and just grateful that you're there. The world is a beautiful place - if you don't stop and look around once in a while you might miss it!
You’re great Eva, you should be extremely proud of yourself for taking this trip and showing the world. You’re doing something very important, thank you!
Your video about Aleppo made me cry. I cried because I noticed how shocked and hopeless you were when you saw what had happened to Aleppo. We, Syrians, are similar to all other people around the world. We want to live happily and safely. However, we like to enjoy peace with freedom and democracy.
This should be a motivational video. I'm so inspired by you and your travels. Thank you so much.
Such a lovely vlog Eva, I just found your channel today. Good for you for going to travel to countries people are normally afraid to go. God bless Syria 🇸🇾 and I wish peace and blessing for the country.
Thanks for your support and sweet words.❤️❤️❤️

When i was in turky, 2014, i saw a pretty and seems educated young mother , syrian refugees, seated in pedesterian street corner, with 2 children and 1 baby in her lap, share a very small amount of rice in a plate. The boy still want to eat more, he still hungry, but the mother has to pass it to the his sister, i can see the mother seems hungry too. My tears out.
It's very touchy & you were very kind & emotional while doing this. Love you for this.
Watching this from inside aleppo while tears are falling , i hope that people come back and rebuild it , this city is the oldest city in the world with so much ruins , it was very crowded before the war but now ..
And by the way this is only the eastren side of the city .. the westren side where we live is still good and better than many countries and beautiful but u didnt visit it ( or show it )
Afterall thanks for ur wonderful visit to our city ,we really appreciate that ❤
Most of the syrian people will not come back while Assad is still in power
We will not come because Assad is still in power, i am a armenien from Aleppo but Aleppo is my correct country and when the Assad go away we will come back and rebuild our Aleppo...
Hey Salh@ i wish you all the best. Please never give up.
