I think they never stopped being attracted to each other, especially Kristin's attraction for Tom. I mean she really can't take her eyes off of him. It's amazing they never got married.
I am at S 5 now with Smallville. I love KK I discovered her on burden of truth.. where was she while i was growing up? she is so gracious with her fans. I would love to see her..... Boston in August. We will see.
If they had married in real life it'd have been normal for me and for a lot of people, but being realistic the real life says another thing. they are the best couple and chemistry on tv.
@SeraKook My best guess as to why they never got married is due to work obligations and living to far apart. They both live in two different countries, more than 1500 miles apart.

Still Tom definitely had feelings for her, the way he kissed her in these scenes on Smallville even while he was married kind of says something. I don't think we will ever know for sure what happened between them because neither of them talk about it, but those kissing scenes were just way to real for them not to have had something going on behind the scenes. Could have been a short lived fling, maybe they were seeing each other behind the back of Tom's first wife for almost a year, who knows. All we can do is speculate. But yeah, for sure each of them moved on for various reasons. It's always interesting to see how some of that chemistry still remains after 20 years though, it just gives more credence to the fact they really did have something at one point.

I would like to see them do a made for TV movie that see's them get back together as Lana and Clark many years after the events in S8. I think that would be amazing, and a good way to retcon away the last two seasons.

If she got to know Tom over a day or two before their audition they might have clicked in other ways. I've said it a few times now, but in those first couple of seasons of Smallville, it's like you're watching a real couple that really like each other. This is why they can look at each other with those moments of pause, why Kristin can show genuine jealousy when she imagines Clark dating another person, why they have those moments where facial expressions show more than words. Look at Kristin and Tom in the episode Shimmer for example when they are out on Lana's porch. We know their acting was horrible this season, but look at the way they look at each other on the porch right before they kiss, look at Kristin's eyes gazing at Tom, so many emotions going on behind those eyes, and Tom look at how he can't stop looking at her eyes. Notice how Kristin's voice goes unusually soft right before they kiss, look at her begin to blush. People can deny it all they want but these two were in love and probably dated for a short while before Tom got married.
The chemistry between these two is still so apparent! Thank you for this! ♥️

It was jetlag, he wasn't feeling 💯. He felt better after resting and came back with Kristin the next day. He seemed a lot more relaxed.
