I still have a xz premium (released April 2017),still runs fine after 3 years. Sony could've done more with these phones buy they're pretty good. Ridiculously durable, it's been (accidentally) thrown around my kitchen a few times and dropped on tiles. Only ever needed a charging port replacement last year, battery lasts all day and charges in 1.5hrs

@@DollinhonJew im currently using xz for about 4 years, as far as durability goes the phone is rock solid, never had to replace any parts, but as far as software goes, the phone did start to lag a lot, and especially at low batteries and when it got heated up (which started to happen quite often), and just recently i had to replace the battery, other than that, its totally a good phone.

@@DollinhonJew using xz for around 3 years, its solid phone realy but mine has dead battery now. Ordered replacement and going to replace battery. Also screen if flickering when at 100% brightness. And while phone is not connected to charger, it is noticeabely solwer than when connected to charger. Its solid allrounder but not so good as my first sony, the sony xperia z which battery is still going strong after 7 years even after i accidentaly cycled over the phone, shattering its screen.

Get the new experia 1 ile be buying replacement parts for it lol like screens. Battery. I might get a portable. Battery pack sony eats up a lot of juice for gaming. And such.

I know it's an old phone but Xperia M4 Aqua screen broke today and it would be nice if you would do a video on how to replace the screen. It's not something that big of a thing because I can use my mom's phone until that and I will probably get a new phone too but it would be nice to get it fixed because the replacement screens don't seem to be expensive at all.
If not I can just find a tutorial that someone else made but your videos are always the best and you explain everything so well and clearly so it would be nice to see a video from you :)

Cool! I have an XZ Premium that is fine except for the charging port being a bit loose and having a dodgy pin. Which I guess is quite major because the cable has to be inserted, then very, very carefully moved around until all pins get contact before it will charge. Once in the optimal position, it has to be left in that spot lest the plug lose contact and stop charging.
I have a replacement though. Not a Sony. My daughter bought me an OPPO A53s which is a very good phone considering the price.
I was advised by a repairer here in Australia that it would be "very expensive" to repair it. However, knowing enough about phone dismantling to be dangerous to myself and others, as well as having a sometimes problematic curiosity, I think I might source a replacement charging port and have a crack at fixing it. The worst I can do is break it.

Hey Jerry, do you happen to plan on taking a Huawei P10 apart? I just repaired one, screen+backpanel, thanks to your great video's. I'm interested on your take on a repair on that phone

That NFC location can explain why the SIDE of the phone is used instead. That battery placement is brilliant though. No need to harm the other components when you can separated it with its own housing first.

Love ur teardown videos! Really appreacite if u can review & do durability test on huawei mate 9. I have doubt on the screen integrity as huawei never mentioned what type of glass they used on the phone. Thanks.

I'm loving the repairability and teardown videos. High quality and very informative :) I can't get my hands on these devices myself so it's the next best thing.

2:33 by this point i'm totally like "i can replace the battery myself"
but then i got the issue of "ACTUALLY FINDING WHERE TO BUY ONE"
    which is annoying now.
