I agree it's best to consider how you actually use a ship rather than just paying for bells and whistles that add nothing for you merely because of FOMO or the bandwagon
It's unfortunate that Royal puts so little effort in the human side by making meetups special and interesting. They are big on the big things but ignore the small ones
So when you go on lines like Virgin or MSC, the gap is significant. They understand the human side not merely size and wow
Exactly. Great features but why pay for them if that’s not my thing? And Royal marketed the Icon as for families. And at a time, solos were barred from even booking a cabin. So I’m not surprised at their lackluster effort at solo meetups.
Great content as always!!! Each year I do the Conquest at Christmas… I have been a solo cruiser for some time…. My balcony room is already paid in full!! So I need to find someone to go or who wants to go with me…..

It sounds like a nice ship. The prices and size make it a no-no for me. I don't like the style behemoth ships.
I can absolutely understand that. Some are worth the splurge to me…like Celebrity Edge class. Others with lots of great features that I don’t use…not so much.

There are pros and cons to every cruise...and well, everything in life...lol
Won't sail with RCCL again. I think you had trouble with RCCL before with Gluten Free Food. I usually dry off in the shower. Even when I was larger. Today is my anniversary. Not a bar person. Like to have noshes. RCCL has terrible food. See, terrible gluten free pizza. Different pizza chefs. What? No salmon? RCCL has a lousy customer service department. Your rating is too high. Go on Holland America. I decide what cruise lines I like or dislike.
Royals food overall is pretty sad. And management is proud of that. They brag to Wall Street about how they pushed down food expense
Yes I had trouble on Wonder but I loved GF food on Icon! Why are my ratings too high if I loved it, Harlan. The can’t rate my experience based on your experience. 😂 I know your rating would be lower, but it think you should sail the Icon first…if you haven’t. 😊
Yes, I actually love salmon. I need to add more of that into my cuisine!
@@SIGCruiser The Icon of the Seas is owned by RCCL. Went on a RCCL cruise once. It was more than enough for me. If my wife was still alive she would agree.
@harlanabraham7772 Yes. But, Harlan, I am not a Royal fan. But Icon was a different class, so I tried it…and loved it. I’m not trying to convince you. Just sharing my experience. 😊

But why would I not sail on the Icon if they have gluten free options and I enjoyed it?
