Great vid, YC. DaVinci Resolve Studio version has magic masking built in, but this is cool if you use the free version. I use several MotionVFX plugins. Appreciate you schooling us.

Damn I wish it wasn't part of a plan. If it was a seperate plugin that you could purchase on its own I would buy it in a heartbeat. Been waiting for this type of AI rotoscoping to arrive in FCP for yeeeear now!

@@YCImaging they will not listen to their customers who ask for such a request. It's a spit in our face when people have lodged thousands of dollars with the company to then charge a subscription fee. I say leave the subscription if someone wants it, but allow for perpetual license options too.

Can you please make video on how to properly do proxies in Final Cut . I always want to switch from Premier to Final Cut but I don’t record an Apple Pro Rez, but I shoot on the A7S three and every time I go to do proxies I’m so confused, and it never works out it’s always choppy
If you right click on a clip in the browser you can select “transcode media” and choose a proxy option from there. Once it’s done, just choose “proxy only” in your playback view window.

Yes it can be done in the studio version of resolve. It works just the same and you can track forwards and backwards with just a click
