Well, there is a reason why Google didn't update the camera in the A series as the 6a is still holding its own with newer cameras. In fact, the 6A won the blind test with all other major phones and millions of votes as the best camera. It boils down to computational photography. My old Pixel 3 has same sensors as 6a and takes better pictures than my Galaxy s22.
True....am using the pixel 6a for few months....its consistent....but the camera sensor shows its age.... especially in low and artificial light its kinda slow and lot of artefacts
@@suryaj4928true my pixel 6a clicks good photos but the video at night is just not up to the mark and also the front camera at night is not good (compared it with s20fe)

Thanks for the review, especially for the part about the zoom and increased resolution of the final image. As it seems, this is one of the most important improvements to the camera in the Pixel 7A.
The slightly wider 7a camera vs. 6a F1.7 aperture... so confused on which one to purchase now. First review that I have seen that mentioned aperture. Great Review!!!
I have been using 6a for almost 2+ months. Upgraded from pixel 3 and both have the same camera but I have to agree with others that Google has mastered this camera sensor with their own hardware+ software combination. I'm from India and the most debated camera comparison is with the Iphones but even my friends considered 6a images better when asked in a blind test vs iphone 13/14.
I get the vibe google threw on the camera software from the pixel 6a so it exposes the same time but with a slightly higher aperture resulting in dimmer images. Also the fact they didn’t fix distortion on the wide shots is a bit of a bummer I hope they update that.

It definitely depends on your country but here in the UK I haven’t experience overheating. In other hot countries like India I’ve heard it can throttle. Go watch my other pixel 6a video on why it’s worth it in 2023. There’s tons of people discussing the heat issue in the comments
The 6a, like many phones, has had intermittent heat issues on different software updates. I haven't noticed any significant heat issues since July/August updates and I live in a very hot region of California. Mine have been excellent on Android 14. Much improved battery life to go a day plus with heavy use. I believe my 6a devices (have a sage and chalk) have only gotten better the past year I have had them.
I have 2 Pixel 6a's and no issues with either screen. I wish they got a bit brighter in direct sunlight but that's most devices. I am a former Samsung user as well. One of my favorite features of the Pixel (in addition to the software) is superior haptics and phenomenal day to day shots.

Google has tuned that legendary Imx363 sensor on the Pixel 6a to the core. It's extremely consistent and reliable.

Thank for such an honest comparison not overhyping the new sensors 🙏

go for 6a or 7.. 7a doesn't make sense at all

So much attention to detail with these videos!
For daylight and food pic i'll prefer pixel 6a and for night and casual and close to natural shots and also for video ill prefer pixel 7a

Yeah I shaved it off after 😅. Idk how I feel about it

which cases are you using one both of the phones ? i like it, can you send a link, i use the 6a .

Does the clear one has yellow tint ?
Thinking of upgrading from my 4a to 7a
You'll be shocked at the difference in weight. 7a is like holding a brick.
It’s about 55g heavier than the 4a

Almost 3 hours

My Pixel 6a display is so much grainy in low light in comparison to my old Huawei P30. Is this normal?
Normal ☺️ my pixel 6 is the same
Pixel always had low quality screens compared to Samsung. That's the only thing I hate about Pixels.

I like the camera of 6a better
I disagree, the 7A pictures look more natural
I would only spend max of $100 for those upgrades.

I think the 6a is better value for money now, considering there are no 'major' differences
