Love your videos and can't wait to hear about your new online store updates! For your inventory purchasing, do you use a store credit card and just continue to pay that back with cost of goods sold after items are sold, or try to only buy as you sell with a % of profits with cash on hand?

I've been loving your videos. I was wondering though, how do you shop for inventory? Are you a fast fashion shopper or do you base your purchases on personal taste? Also, do you have your employees help you out when you're shopping for inventory or do you do it all on your own? And lastly, how often do you shop for more inventory (weekly, biweekly, monthly, season). Hope you can answer or make a video regarding inventory purchases :)

Hi Alli, I love your videos they are so helpful! The only thing I can't seem to find any information on is how do you know how much to markup prices? I know there are probably variables such as what your target market but what is your typical markup or what would you suggest for someone who is starting an online business and doesn't have much of an overhead in regards to employees and rent cost?
Also if you get something on sale do you then change your markup even more or do you just keep it at your normal markup cost and give your customers a "discount" also?

Thanks for the encouraging tips! Question: what do you do with inventory that did not sell the previous season? Do you make sure it all sells on clearance or put it back out next season as clearance or donate it as a tax deduction?
I mark it down to 65% if it doesn't sell after that I gift it to customers who make purchases!

I'm fairly new to opening my boutique, 2 months since launch day, I bought inventory since December, huge mistake, did not wait until all the legal stuff was finalized but my question is, how do you get rid of winter items without losing money, like is there a specific place if customers aren't interested? Just curious
How do you manage items that sell in the store and online? I worry if I have one small in store and it’s also online, if they don’t tie together - when one is sold the other doesn’t adjust. It seems very time consuming and inefficient to be checking that constantly. Advice...

I reached out to Shopkeep from your previous VLOG as I wanted to use them for my online Boutique. On the day of my scheduled appointment, they advised they don’t offer services to online boutique stores only mortar stores 😏
Now I’m stuck with trying to find a great POS device system for my store and I don’t want to use Poshmark. Any suggestions? I want a system to help me track my inventory and there’s so many out there. What system did you use when you first started out? Thank you in advance and we miss seeing your smiling face💕😊💕

What do you do with the few items that just dont sell even if on sale?
I very rarely have items that don't sell but when I do, I mark down to 65%. If the items still don't sell I then gift to customers that make purchases!
How is this better than the system that exists within Shopify?
