Today’s video will be a diy guide on how to get italian citizenship by descent(jure sanguinis) in italy. In this diy italian citizenship guide i will go through each and every step i went through personally to get my italian citizenship whilst living in italy. This is not a guide on how to get italian citizenship in your home country, but a guide on how one can get citizenship whilst living in italy.

Thank you so much for this. I have spent past several years collecting my vital docs (Covid made this difficult) and have been trying to obtain an appointment at our Italian Consulate in Houston. Thank you. Definately a bit more clear...also a bit overwhelming but that is probably because it is a lot of new information that I need to digest. I have almost all the documents required and apostilled just waiting for a couple more. So I could come with what I have and them translated in italy? Sounds easier than dealing with the consolate that is 8 hours away from where I live.

Yep but that double taxation is brutal😮
You only have to pay taxes in Italy if you live in Italy.
what did it cost for you? if you don't mind me asking, i don't think i caught that in the video
I cannot claim Citizenship because my Great Great Grandfather Antonio died before 1861...the Italian states were not United until then...
