Poor mountaineer barely kept his family fed
Then one day he was shooting for some food,
And up through the ground come a bubbling crude

Hooked up a well in eastern Ky back in the 80's that flowed so much oil it had to have wto holding tanks on location. It blew so hard that it blew oil out of the stand pipes on the first tank so we had to design sort of a set of big mufflers on the stand pipes so it would catch the oil and drop it back in to the tank. Didn't need a pump jack on that one.

I hope and pray you guys have been drilling smokers ever since !! I take it you drilled it with a rotary? We were cabletool drillers in western PA. I grew up on the walking beam rigs hanging on the Temper Screw. Now that was living my friend !

I've been out that way a few years back and guys were still drilling MUCH deeper than that...and to have nice steady pressure at the head...I have to ask, how did it pan out after a few months, year... Have you capped it since to sit on it for a while or still taking advantage of natural pressure?

In other words, keep quiet, remove it, and THEN inform whomever once. Contacting the Government will not benefit you in any way whatsoever. Just an FYI.
