I’m intrigued what this video will be. I’m about to start in ecommerce but I really struggle to get my head around drop shipping. I just don’t feel like I would be adding value & it gives people a sub par experience, almost feels immoral to me. If I do go down that path it will only be to offer an extended range & I’ll call it out with something like “provided by supplier partner” or something to differentiate those lines from my core offering. Really keen to see Daveys’ take on it but sucks that premiere is 2:30am (for Aus).
Just find a product that you can get behind. Otherwise drop shipping can be done where it actually helps consumers connect to useful products that are otherwise hidden or unknown and you can still build a quality focussed business from it. It doesn’t even have to be a physical product, it could be some digital product, there’s so much out there
Tons of well know brands do drop shipping, it’s not just selling cheap crap that takes months to arrive. I know John Lewis in the UK is drop shipping store. Plus you got Wayfair etc.
Keep in mind I’ve designed and had manufactured a completely new product in China and it didn’t go well at all it was a nightmare trust me don’t do it unless you got $$ and lots of time
Hello Davie, iam starting dropshipping with your step by step tutorial and i am stack in barcodes. Do you think i need barcodes for dropshipping? Thank you so much!
Hi Davie, very good classification on what was a vague concept!i have an online children bookshop, books are common products, not branded/produced by me. For this type of business, how to differntiate from competitors so to avoid the dead end of competing on price please?
Great content! What resources/books did you learn all this stuff from? I’m an entrepreneur in a different industry but would love to learn more about ecomm 😊
Podcasts/youtube for up to date info. Books for timeless business knowledge. Ecom is best learnt through UA-cam and podcasts as it moves so quick. Limited supply. The operators. Common thread collective.
How critical is a hero product for an ecom brand? For example how does a generic garden store compare to a brand based on a specialised unique planter (hero product) with complimentary accessories ranged?
I think it's the needle mover for the business (your best seller is the best option) - Drive traffic to that product then upsell them on other products that goes with it to increase your AOV. Do the same thing with second best selling, and again with third (until you have 3 to 5 products that driving sales and bringing new customers everyday at a low cost, while other product increasing the AOV so you can acquire customers at a higher cost)
Thanks for this Davie - can you/someone please tell me how you established the relationship you have with the manufacturer? Currently, I do not have enough leverage to get my manufacturers to customise their products at my behest.

You’re right. Drop shipping doesn’t add any value. But millions of these wannabe business people want to get rich quick with bu11shit upselling.

OG Davie started (raw) videos. very good ones brother
this framework is worth billions of dollars, thanks davie
Good luck in making those billions. 😂
Hi Davie, so would you recommend for a first timer…
1. A general store?
2. A niche store?
Or
3. A one product store?
One product, rinse and repeat
Depends on the market. In Europe I recommend a general store, that's the fastest way to 1K/day.

No probably not needed early on
Thanks for this Davie

Sell more goods. Up your advertising and do what millions of others do. Pay $100 to sell a $50 product then boast about your sales value.
Davie, if you’re doing $10mill p.a. Then he should’ve already stopped dropshipping and gone customized with an A rated supplier and IKYK ❤
He is, “in house graphic designer” “made them thicker”
I feel like the video title is clickbait-y because Davie has always disapproved of the dropshipping model when starting out….
I say customise and provide good service through a 3pl.
This is how you customise.
@@DavieFogarty any good 3pl you recommend in Europe?
Good Morning everyone. Has anyone actually had success following Davie Fogarty?
Cheers boss
This is great
Nice!
Thanks!
business structure video in aus would be awesome - see my comment in your last 1h video
Talk to your accountant, tax lawyer and chat gpt.
This video would get 5 views and isn’t too difficult.
In fact, early on, just an accountant is fine.
Davie could you become my mentor?
How much are you willing to pay per hour for his experience and expertise?
