Adam, after a brief session at the range I finally discovered it is my chest that is the engine of my swing. I’ve discovered this reality as a result of buying into your videos. Thank you!
Thank you tons ! You have completely changed my wedge play. 62 yr old +3 . I love the set up and the draw approach. I used to hit that dieing quail to the right . I can now hit that dirty draw.
Hi Gabe!! You had the magic man, so sad you quit after your work with Kelvin. But thanks for the amazing lessons and a gain of 20MPH on my clubhead speed.
Not only is this a great shot to add to my arsenal but you just showed me how to use the bounce when I chip without having to explain how to use the bounce.
Testimonial: I just started watching and practicing your techniques in the past month. I went to the course yesterday to put them to test and shot my best round in 25 years. 12ish handicap that just shot 77 and left a few out there! Thank you for all you do!
A great lesson. I’ll try this today. I tend to get under the ball too much. It goes high but no controllable distance. So I’m always changing around never finding consistency. Thank you.
Thanks for watching and commenting, this is one of our more popular videos that demonstrates this well. Instead of typing out a lot of feels and ideas I hope this is an easier demonstration to help you! ua-cam.com/video/SU0yV1l_MzU/v-deo.html
Does opening all other irons n thinking draw swing, equate to straighter ball flight. Thx for all ur awesome vids! Plz keep them coming. Do u have a golf instruction school. If so where?
Adam, at the 9:15 minute mark you asked him to “give you more knuckles down at impact” This is probably a silly question but are you talking about the right knuckles? Please clarify and thank you.
When I try to slow down or shorten my swing I end up shanking it. I’m looking closely at the video to see what you are doing so I can try to duplicate it. The ball position, the hip bump, the takeaway and the strike. I’ll try to duplicate this later at my range session.
Would you do one for 70 to 120 yards please. This is my big bear. I keep pulling them left of target. OR can I use the same technique but with a less lofted club. I assume a 56* is being used here?
Crazy i just seen a video where they were saying that the pros hit their wedges low on the club face usually the bottom groves and to do that you need to have forward shaft lean and a de-lofted club face , but you are clearly saying the face should be oepn so thats a bit confusing
can I assume early extension is as bad for short wedges as full swings? Love your material and at &% am learning so much, just need to put it into practice.
Does the length of the shot you plan on hitting determine how open the face is. For example the shortest shot, the face would be pointed out 45 degrees to the right etc. is there a formula u like to use?
"When I swing in the direction of Gabe, there, the ball is actually going to go in the direction of Gabe." That reads stupidly obvious but put in the context of what he's demonstrating here, that's got to be one of the most valuable things I've learned about hitting a wedge!
So I noticed that Doug was still a bit steep with his wedges. Is the cure for steep wedges the same as with irons? (fixing the backswing/set position + being patient in transition)?
Yes Canefan, I would say so, that's what makes Porzak's instruction so simple. He keeps it very simple and consistent through out the bag, try it out and let us know how it goes! - Gabe
When you talk about the doorstops under the feet, could you have the same feeling with irons as well? Obviously width of stance changes, but is that concept still relevant with longer clubs?
No, the door stops under the feet on the outside of back foot and the inside of front foot is to get your weight and center of gravity more towards the target, with wedges we are not looking for speed, hence we don't need to be transferring as much weight to our back foot. This pre sets us more ahead of the ball that will help better contact and slightly lower ball flight for more control with the wedges. Something we don't promote with longer clubs, unless you wanted to take the ball flight down. Thanks for watching and commenting. Any other questions, please let us know!
Doesn't matter how hard it try but left side feels don't work. For me to hit shot like this I feel my right thigh and hands moving in sync and turning through... what's the danger could I get drivey with my legs?
We teach year-round Hermann! Please email us at info@porzakgolf.com for any in person lesson details we’d love to have you guys out to see us in San Diego!
This is one of the MANY reasons I dig this guy teachings. He proves his teachings by showing it on a grass range. You can see the divots.

Honestly one of the best finesse wedge shot explanations and demonstrations I’ve seen. Thanks to you and Doug.

Love your teaching methods Mr. Love it ...
Hi Gabe!!

My wedge play is bad, and this video may have just helped me instantly. Thanks!

How do you not have more subscribers? You are the man.
Thank you! We appreciate you! We are just going to keep doing what we are doing and help all of you play better golf!

Dies ist das beste Video, dass ich jemals zu diesem Thema gesehen habe.
Great , thank you.
Adam this is some solid instruction. We appreciate you!
Absolutely brilliant and easy to understand instruction 💃💥🐥
so good, great lesson Adam, go get em Doug
Thanks Parker!

Great video and great coaching.
Simple

de nada, gracias por el apoyo y la observación!
Super helpful 👌
Hey porzark golf
How does your width of stance change as the wedge shot lengthens??
Thanks heaps for all the help
This is so good.
Thanks Matthew, Check out our full swing Master Class, if you love this, then you will love our Master Class on sale now! bit.ly/FullSwingMasterClass
Incorporating this on tomorrow’s range session
YES Frank!
Great video. What are your feels and or drills for the first move of takeaway to keep from rolling inside
Thanks for watching and commenting, this is one of our more popular videos that demonstrates this well. Instead of typing out a lot of feels and ideas I hope this is an easier demonstration to help you! ua-cam.com/video/SU0yV1l_MzU/v-deo.html

Ive the draw move to finish. It’s great move

Left knuckles, to bow the wrist and square the face

Great video. What wedge are you using?
I don't follow what you mean by body draw, whilst pulling the club left. Hopefully I will feel it when I get to the range. Enjoyed the content.

Yes!
with such an open face, early extension is the recepy for the worst shank of your life...
Everybody said just about "low-spining" wedge shot with the draw bias.
Can we done the "low-spining" with the fade bias?

Hahaha Sometimes it’s the most simple cues that can help in an A-ha moment!

Which degree are the wedges are you using
I need a iron lesson off you
I have an easier way that requires patience. Simply wait until you get older (like me). I'm 75 years old and I hit my 58 degree wedge about 50 yards.
What's the ball position? Middle, one-ball forward...etc?
We don’t like much back of middle. Maybe a little forward if it needs to be a higher softer shot.
What's the best time of the year to schedule a few lessons with you?
We teach year-round Hermann! Please email us at info@porzakgolf.com for any in person lesson details we’d love to have you guys out to see us in San Diego!
Opening the face without opening the stance doesn't expose very much the hosel? Scary feeling, then...
dirty clean shot...oxymoron but awesome :)
THANKS!!!
The cameraman was horrible in this one!!! Are we watching the giu swing or the instructor teaching so we can see what he's explaining??!
