Very useful playing Material . Beautifully played. 👍👍👍👍👍Could you recommend modern pop songs that use modal interchange adding some chords in harmonic minor modes? Thanks
I've been trying to compose a piece in A Lydian #2, the 6th mode of harmonic minor... I want it to sound mysterious and haunting but can't utilize that effect... Everytime I play I end up in C# harmonic minor :( I just can't have that pulling effect to its tonic chord Amaj7....
I find if you rhythmically stick the “normal” notes, melodically (the triad and top tetrachord: 1,3,5,6,7) your ear has an easier time accepting the A as 1.
Harmonic Minor - 0:04
Locrian ♮6 - 1:04
Ionian Augmented - 2:16
Dorian ♯4(Ukrainian Dorian) - 3:07
Phrygian Dominant - 4:05
Lydian ♯2 - 5:05
Ultralocrian - 6:09
That Dorian #4 one and the phrygian dominant one were just phenomenal
