Growing MVAC: An Interview with Jim Theler

  • Jim Theler is known throughout the Midwest and Plains for his archaeological research, especially in his specialty areas of faunal analysis and environmental archaeology. During his 25 years at UW-La Crosse, he played an essential role in growing both the undergraduate Archaeology program and the Mississippi Valley Archaeology Center. He taught hundreds of students and worked on numerous field projects with students, staff, and the public. Now Professor Emeritus, Jim is still active in regional research and an MVAC Research Associate. In this video he reflects on some key aspects of MVAC's growth and development.
