Great to hear the history behind this tuning. I learned Don's "First Ride" years ago and ended-up writing a piece using this tuning, but with a capo on 2nd fret. Would love to know of some other pieces in this tuning.... so you could stay in it and play for awhile. "First Ride" is a great piece and a lot of fun to play, and Don is not only an excellent guitarist and composer, but an outstanding teacher as well. Thanks for posting!!
