It’s our first time celebrating Autism Awareness/Acceptance month since our daughter got diagnosed and having two kids on the spectrum completely highlights how much of a TRUE spectrum autism is. Every person is different in general but we always say that our kids are opposite babies with how they present/show with their autism. Autistic people across the board are so authentic and smart and kind and those are things that are true for all of them though❤️it’s been awhile since I commented but I’m so happy to see how happy you are lately and you are just shining with confidence and positivity nowadays✨

This is our first year joining in on Autism day. Our son was just diagnosed a couple weeks ago. It has been a STRUGGLE trying to find therapy services for him in our area here in the midwest. But, having that confirmed diagnosis puts a name to the things we have noticed over time. One of the things I do to save time is something I did today. If I am cooking ground beef for a meal, I usually will cook up several packages at a time for future upcoming meals so that the meat is already browned. Then I portion the meat out into ziploc bags and store in the fridge for the upcoming week. Today I made tacos, so I cooked up extra ground beef for spaghetti and chili this coming week.

I usually prepare our coffee maker for the next morning. I'll take out whatever we're having for dinner in the morning so it will be defrosted by dinner prep time

I’ve been trying to do a few small things that I know my future self will appreciate… setting out lunch containers and filling water bottles the night before. Getting outfits ready. Packing everything we need for sports in advance… no more last minute searching for a piece of a uniform. Doing small things like that in advance make the mornings go smoother & start the day off on the right foot.

To save time I get the load of laundry I want to do the night before doesn’t necessarily mean I will do a load every day. That includes getting it sprayed if it needs it, getting quarters out, checking to make sure they aren’t Canadian, and getting the tide pod out.

Nate is awesome. I know you mentioned David’s brother has autism. You will be able to relate knowing Nate will be with you growing up and he will have you and David to guide him the rest of his life. 🙏

Hello, Jess, the children are growing up so fast. I watched the Easter Sunday vlog and it looked like a fun celebration. He is risen.

I try to clean up as I cook- that way when it’s time to sit and eat, it’s just our plates + silverware and maybe a serving dish/pot to clean. Helps so much!!!

Both my boys are on spectrum, both extremely smart in different ways.. I love boasting about them! my youngest never cared for cartoons and loves live shows or learning things with adults etc I think it has made a big difference in how well hes doing in school. Oldest is similar, never really into typical children activities, but now he has his own youtube channel and catches trains on video/camera as a hobby and he knows so much more than I ever will about it lmao and probably many other topics in general. They are indeed special in the best of ways. 🥰

I only sent my third child to preschool when my two older ones were in kindergarten, (which was half day) and first grade. Preschool was kind of a newer thing when my older ones were preschool age. They didn’t go. My fourth child didn’t go either because it just didn’t work with my schedule for my other children. (I had her when I was close to 43. Eight years after my third child.) But thankfully she was totally fine in kindergarten which was half day. I did love that three year old preschool was two mornings a week. Then four year old preschool was three mornings a week. It is hard to see your babies go off to school. I cried in the car every time. 😢 bittersweet
