- It's Lip's 18th birthday and he's in for a few surprises. Not least what the Maguires expect of him now he's come of age. When the kids' long-lost mother, Monica, turns up at Lip's party she threatens to turn their world upside down. But it's Frank who is especially worried, having illegally married Sheila in Monica's absence. Debbie really wants her mum out of the house but how far will she go to achieve it? Everyone is worried about Kev and Veronica when they fail to return from their booze cruise, but it becomes obvious that Sue knows more than she's letting on. But even she isn't prepared for the surprise gift that Marty has in store for her.

I have to admit, when i first heard about this show, i thought i wouldn't enjoy it, it'll be toilet humour that I'll turn my nose up at. But after watching a few episodes, i love it.

Yeah, Frank is "proper posh"! I was amazed when I saw him interviewed on T.V. He plays a very believable drunk. All the kids are great actors too. PLEASE somebody post Tuesday nights episode, it was class n my son missed it. Ta.

I've watched all 8 seasons of Shameless US, waiting for 9. Was just informed this was actually Britian's idea? Is it possible to get copies of all seasons? I think the sex is overplayed for US, but it's got a great foundation w/awesome storyline. I'd love to see how the two compare. Tx

A programme about layabouts who scrounge off the taxpayer. It disgusts me that I go out to work to pay my way in life and pay income tax to support scroungers to smoke and drink. The only difference between then and now is there were no food banks then. Broken Britain that gets worse by the day.
