Great review, I just bought this book about a week ago but I haven’t had a chance to read it yet. I did enjoy pillars of the Earth, and I also recently just finished the audio of “the evening & the morning” prequel which was quite the story, but your review seems to be what so many of them have said that this column of fire just isn’t quite as good as all the other ones. I also bought World without end, but I haven’t read that one yet either because I’ve kind of been reading them all out of order I guess🤪 But overall, after your review, I am looking forward to it📚
read the first two, couldnt put them down. this one is lacking that. I will finish it, but its not as compelling as the first two. The characters in the first two books were developed much better with a deeper emotional link to the reader. your review is spot on.
