    Got interested in drones begin of 2020 Started FPV w/Beta start kit in spring and became addicted.As newbie made mistake of cheaper kit not knowing about motors. Also bought Emax strt kt because cheap price but....EZ Pilot quad sucks. Bought 2 1/2s TinyhawkII that after much frustration finally found abt Bayang only protocol on my radio. Got RMstr TX16S and bound but not knowing any better had again thinking cheap $ bought a Chromebook for Betaflight which became another nightmare and so on...got this in the mail and without headache/nrvs brk dwn was FINALLY able to fly something w/new radio. Tiny Whoops are also nice when it's 105 degrees out and 60% humidity like it is in San Diego right now, and it's too hot to justify bringing out the Vivid or Whirligig. NewBee Drone is my local drone manufacturer, that means my family can't yell at me because I'm supporting local businesses. You can bet I'll give them all my money when they finally figure out a digital Tiny Whoop.

  • @vhfgamer
    @vhfgamer 4 роки тому +1

    It looks like it flies just like my Beta65 Lite running NFE Silverware.
    #1 Yes you can adjust settings in Silverware without flashing it.
    #2 Bayang protocol is lower latency than FRSKY, thus it is better. If someone made a larger diversity Bayang receiver for 5 inch drones, I would convert every last one of my drones over to it.

    WInter is coming... and 45 bucks? For a drone that performs this well? I can look past having brushed motors for that. Besides imagine beating someone in a race with a meteor 65 or a Mobula 6 with humming bird, that covers the cost alone.

      @ProjectMockingbird 4 роки тому +3

      haha, show up with your BFPV Lite 2 radio and the H-bird, beat everyone and walk away. Priceless. And in a lot of local races it is probably a reality. Silverware just wont' crash. :)

    The updated LiteRadio 2 SE Radio Transmitter doesn't program with OpenTX anymore and is supposed to use a self-developed LiteRadio System instead. BetaFPV says" the new LiteRadio 2 SE Radio doesn't use Opensource OPENTX any more, it was replaced by Customed LiteRadio System, it can not support to program any setting." However this LiteRadio System software doesn't seem to exist. How are we supposed to set up the SE radio? This doesn't seem like a real improvement.

    I just don't get the $50 price as compelling. As soon as you buy a set of motors when the included ones wear out, you're pretty much at Mobula 6 or Hummingbird Pro pricing, and then you have to keep doing that after X amount of hours flying over and over and over. If you like how it flies? Sure, I get that, have at it. But this is the exact reason I moved away from brushed in the first place - no turtle mode, which allowed me to finish second in a race because the third place pilot in question was flying brushed motors and crashed, and you have to continually replace the motors.

    • @heroflying
      @heroflying 4 роки тому

      I just remembered, the third place pilot I beat WAS RABFPV. He and Tanner Rush were dueling with me a distant third, RAB crashed, couldn't turtle mode, and I came in second. I didn't even know who they were at the time. lol

      yup, I personally use an x7 and the only thing you need to remember is to set it to AETR. Other than that, it's super easy.

    I got the remote and the hummingbird. I tried to fly it but the right stick seems to be super sensitive. One movement of the stick and the hummingbird darts off. Is there a way to adjust this?

    This thing is awesome but the tuning feels extremely sensitive for a beginner. It would be nice to be able to dumb down the settings. Mine just flew into the fireplace...

    Whoop is also fun and I agree bush motor is good for indoor FPV. But whoop and mini quad is so different same as table tennis and field tennis. I hope beginner well understand this point before they start.

    At 6:54 you have a shot of the OSD and being able to change the various flight modes' switch assignment. Is this same OSD menu in the new betafpv beginner kit that has a brushed whoop with silverware?
    If not, I assume this is yet another nod in the direction for this newbeedrone 65mm brushed non-betaflight quad vs the betafpv offering.
    Thanks, and keep up the good work!

    I have a flysky fsi6s transmitter and I want to use it with a newbeedrone for acro practice, is this possible without soldering on a new receiver to the newbeedrone?

    Is the forthcoming brushless version going to be Silverware too? They're already got the brushless Hummingbird at an amazing price. I can't imagine something better and cheaper.

    Mmm I think for a little bit extra a Tinyhawk will be alot better first quad and better for racing long term.

    Dang Bardwell... They we're the go to at the last Whooptopia. There were 64 pilots from all over at the last one. AyyyKayyy took the win in pro class on the NBD hardware, it was surreal how locked he was. Great for beginners and experienced alike.
