Al Pacino was different in all three Godfather’s. In the first one, he was a personable man and very human knowing of what he’s getting into. By the time his father is looking into the fish aquarium and he’s announcing the move to Nevada, he remains a cold, stolid, and businesslike man. In his personal life, he’s cold and cruel. In part 3, he’s become a human being again, outgoing, jovial, and caring, but haunted by his cruel ways from before.

Johnny Depp as Whitey Bulger scared the fuck out of me! There's a scene when he goes upstairs and talks to the wife of one of his men, she's heard or said something she shouldn't have. Then Depp as Bulger stands at the door and talks to her in a low voice. He never yells or gets physical, even his words are innocuous; but the scene utterly terrifying. Can we get some love for Deniro In, A Bronx Tale?! I felt like that was an unbelievable performance as the father trying to keep his son away from that life as apposed to being in the Mob in his other films

Michael, how could you put De Niro at number 10? He is hands down the greatest actor of all you portrayed.
I did a top 15 list because I felt they all deserved to be mentioned. 1 & 2 could be interchangeable in my list as there is nothing in it between them. They are definitely the 2 greatest gangster actors in my opinion.
    1. Robert De Niro in the Godfather part 2, Goodfellas & Casino
    2. Al Pacino in the Godfather, Scarface and Donny Brasco.
    3. Joe Pesci in Goodfellas, Casino and the Irishman
    4. Marlon Brando in the Godfather
    5. Jack Nicholson in The Departed
    6. James Cagney in The Public Enemy and White Heat
    7. Denzil Washington in American Gangster
    8. George Raft in Scarface and Each Dawn I Die
    9. Armand Assante in Gotti
    10. Edward G Robinson in Little Caesar and Key Largo.
    11. Chazz Palminteri in A Bronx Tale
    12. Johnny Depp in Donny Brasco, Public Enemies & Black Mass
    13. Christopher Walken in King of New York
    14. Ben Kingsley In Sexy Beast.
    15. Tom Hardy in Legend

I love Joe Pesci but I disagree. De Niro pulls off more of a Mafia guy type of vibe. While Pesci can be terrifying from his outburst, De Niro is more the quiet psychopath, who will smile in your face and before you know it your head is bashed in with a baseball bat.
