Great video. I just bought one. I was told they were discontinued so the prices online are rather high. Every review that I have seen people love it so I was surprised to learn they are discontinued. All stores are also sold out because the pandemic has people popping popcorn I guess. Cant wait for the delivery of mine.

Thank you. Mine arrived yesterday. I don't think I'll ever find time to read through the instructions before I feed my addiction with a hefty bowl.
    Cheers.

@@ttc_flaw7964 no not the exact same one it doesn't have the on/off button to cut it on, it just has the power cord.. and it worked really good for the party! I was super excited to use it. My friends were surprised but overall it worked really well.

Hey, how is yours holding up? I bought mine two or three years ago so quality control may have been different at the time same model though and mine the first week I got it the Teflon coating started to scratch off. At the time there were a bunch of negative reviews for the product for this exact issue so it may have been addressed by West Bend

I believe you wipe it down with a dry paper towel removing any leftover oil residue. Kinda like a cast iron skillet where you dont wash it with soap and water afterwards. Let alittle bit of flavor build up...

My popcorn is a little spongy and not crisp due to the moisture build up from the popping. Are there any suggestions to make the popcorn more dry and crisp?

I found a better solution. I bought a silicon bowl popcorn popper for microwave popping and this device works great!!! I get crisp popcorn every time. I use very little oil, one tablespoon for taste and you can pop without any oil! I bought this kitchen device for $12 and it takes up almost no storage space. I highly recommend it.

Why dirty another dish with the butter? Put it right on top and drips through the holes onto the popcorn as it heats up. That's one of the best features of the stir crazy.

  • @Sparquel1

I have one. Used it but notice the popcorn comes out chewy, and not crisp. I’ve heard that chewy popcorn is a result of too much air in the popper while corn is popping. Do you have a solution for this???

wow i never thought ... thanks for the tip we will try it. we just got a stir crazy that appears to be brand new at a goodwill for 5 bucks . we went there looking for popcorn acessorys (.5 tsp measuring spoon for flavicol and a jar as the flavicol carton leaks) , but i want looking for a popper . what a score ! now if you like movie theater popcorn i would twist your arm to FLAVACOL and use coconut oil . its the best i tried yet. thanks for the video !

Bacon grease is very bad for your health to make popcorn. You need vegetable oil or corn oil to make your popcorn. Another option is go get Pop Secret microwave popcorn or that Amish microwave popcorn and use it.

0:53. WTF is "buttery popcorn topping"? Pretty suspicious language there! It's entirely possible it contains only seed oil and diacetyl and no butter whatsoever.

@@12369ja I didn't say they should replace it for free but to not even have spare parts available is a huge customer service failure. How would you like it if you had to junk your car the first time a part failed, because they don't stock spares?
