  • Here's a simple White Biryani recipe:
    White Biryani Recipe
    Servings: 4-6
    Ingredients:
    1 cup basmati rice
    2 cups water
    2 tablespoons ghee or oil
    1 small onion, finely chopped
    1 teaspoon ginger paste
    1 teaspoon garlic paste
    1 teaspoon cumin seeds
    1 teaspoon coriander powder
    1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
    1 tablespoon lemon juice
    Instructions:
    1. Rinse rice and soak for 30 minutes.
    2. Heat ghee/oil in a large pan.
    3. Add cumin seeds, onion, ginger, and garlic. Saute until onion is translucent.
    4. Add coriander powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well.
    5. Drain rice and add to pan. Mix with spices.
    6. Add water and bring to a boil.
    7. Reduce heat, cover, and cook until rice is tender.
    8. Fluff rice with fork.
    9. Garnish with cilantro and lemon juice.
    Tips and Variations:
    Use saffron or cardamom for added flavor.
    Add cooked vegetables (e.g., peas, carrots) or meat (e.g., chicken, lamb).
    Use different spice blends (e.g., garam masala, biryani masala).
    Experiment with various oils (e.g., coconut, olive).
