Well that's a subjective observation. The most affluent and upscale neighborhood in Islamabad where a third of the residents are expats from Western countries, would be better looking and cleaner than an everyday market in any third world country. India or Pakistan or Bangladesh.

I have been to Pakistan quite a few times in the past. My experience is that in the various places I have visited the hospitality is the best in the world. We virtually never had to pay for the food wherever we went. Even people we didn't know were inviting us to dinner even at their homes. I will never forget the amazing experience we had. Even the hotels we stayed at were brilliant. There is fantastic food everywhere. It's been about 15 years since I last visited Pakistan, so I'm due a visit soon Insha Allah. I'm still in touch with friends from Kashmir which is a breathtaking place. Honestly, I thought I was in heaven. 🇬🇧🇮🇳
What I appreciated from this video compared to other street food tour videos is when the guy tried gol guppas and said he didn't like them. people have different palates and it's refreshing to see him being honest and authentic, rather than faking it to avoid upsetting people. I love gol guppa / pani puri but it's okay if some people don't
Very nice enjoy your time in pakistan there is lots to see and do many countries try to put people off. More people should come and see these countries dont let others put you off.
Nicole I am glad you are enjoying street food in Islamabad.. Just to give you little information on last yellow colour vegeterian food is .called Kadhi pakoda ..and it's made of basic ingredients of chickpea powder ( bason) and buttermilk ( lassi) ... and not ginger..as your host was not correct to explain you ... and it has pakodas ( fritters ) in it. ...it seems you really enjoyed..fried fish ..and mutton nihari....and to top it all ...kheer. .
