    I failed my exam 2 times and they both hardly had questions that are from the study guide... or even like similar to practice test. one of the question I remember they asked if you have $15 as account balance and copayment is $20 what is the minimum payment. And they didnt even mentioned about that in the study guide. a lot of the questions from clinical patient care which are general patient care, infection control, test lab procedures, phlebotomy, EKG total of 81. there's only 8 questions about ekg and 7 questions of phebotomy. 46 questions about general patient care... It seems that the NHA questions are changing each year. Because my friends didnt get questions like the ones I had.. they told me it was similar questions as what study guide material gave... and practice test. Which is hard for me to answer the questions sometimes. But i did notice they asked a lot about medication names. a little bit of CPR.

    I’m currently in the 2nd month of my 6 month CCMA program (classes every Saturday) and I’ve been stressing and worrying about this exam! I study little bits throughout the weeks but I definitely plan on really studying hard that last month leading up to my exam. Did you do classes for this or did you do an online program or what? Cause I’m curious as to how long your course was before you took the exam?

    • @HamsaJavagal
      @HamsaJavagal  2 роки тому +13

      Hey! So I did an online CCMA 4-6 month program as well. However, based on personal experience, the course was way harder & more in depth than what’s on the exam. When i started prepping for the exam, I used the NHA study guide for content review (as needed) so that I only spent time reviewing what’s on the exam. Hope this helps!

    • @HamsaJavagal
      @HamsaJavagal  2 роки тому +3

      Love to help out :) Personally, I am not sure if every test that the NHA gives is different. The quizlets, Reddit’s, and other resources I mentioned are from past exams. So the content does seem to repeat on every exam. The NHA study guide and practice exam may be a good resource but I wouldn’t say it is NEEDED to pass. Hope this helps!

      I think after you take an accredited medical assistant course that allows you to sit for the exam, there is no expiration date for the amount of time you can wait before you take the exam (I’m not 100% sure though so don’t quote me on it!!). However, I would recommend you take it sooner rather than later as the content will still be fresh in your mind soon after the course. Hope this helps and good luck on your journey in healthcare!!

      Absolutely! The NHA study guide is great and if you are looking for some practice problems you can check out my course (pinned in the comments) which includes 170 quiz questions and a full length practice exam for a fraction of the cost of NHA.
