Awesome trip, showing that a walk in the woods is never "just" a walk in the woods. As you mentioned the changes in spring come very fast. Thanks for another great adventure. 🍻
Yes! You have to get out often and pay close attention to catch spring's arrival. You can simply walk right over some of the most lovely blooms if you're not looking closely! Thanks for watching!
Wow, what a hike and the view 😍. Rightly said, "Not an ideal hike for the first of the year". Kudos to Sheri 🙌👏; she is like a mountain goat on a rock. In so many cases, we imagined ourselves rolling down the hill or into the water 🤪🤣. Thanks for taking us along on another amazing trip✌️.
Thanks, you guys! We both saw ourselves rolling down the hill and into the water on a number of occasions - especially when Sheri said she pushed Jay ;)...lol Thanks so much for tuning in, friends!
It was indeed! We thought we were in better shape, but nothing proves the shape you're in better than a challenging hike with a full backpack! Thanks for watching :)
Gorgeous hike folks challenging for sure but worth the beauty, the falls was epic. I am surprised nobody has hung rope in some of the areas to help maneuver , Ive seen them used in some areas . Happy neither of you twisted an ankle .real shame when people leave their garbage i've pack out 4 black bags . at one crown land place . Thanks for bringing us along with you i loved this . Watching from Ontario Canada.
Thanks, Sue! We had a few close calls on this hike for sure...even a couple of spills, but we ended up no worse for the wear :) It can be frustrating to encounter careless refuse along such beautiful country - 4 bags worth would be infuriating! Luckily the garbage for us was very minimal...but not always so.
Wow!! This was awesome!! My buddy and I are headed there later this year and this was super helpful! I appreciate your mishaps as I tend to have more than my fair share of them! Beautiful trip and thank you for bringing us along!!
Wow! I thoroughly enjoyed every second of this video. Thanks so much for sharing. I would really love to try this someday but i am not sure Jason would be in for it. Lol. Maybe in the fall when it's drier and fewer bugs. Again, thanks for sharing!
You should do the trail! Even just the first 6km are pretty easy going, and you could do some fishing along the river :) Just drag Jason along lol Thanks for watching!
Glad I watched your video. Planning on this hike in July. Now I know some of what to expect. How long did it take you to hike to your campsite? I think I am on the same one. Planning on hammock camping to save on what I am packing in.
Glad you watched! It took about 4hrs from the turn-off of Highway 17 to get to the top of the falls, where we camped. That said, we didn't rush, but we also didn't stop to fish as much as we thought we would. Lots of spots to hang a hammock on the upper falls campsite, as well as the lower site if you are there. Have a great hike!
Love this video. We were thinking of camping at one of the first sites. Dropping the tent, hiking to the falls and then back. Do you think it's a good plan? What site would you recommend?
That is a fabulous plan! It's what we decided would have been a better plan for us after having done the whole hike with the full load lol. There's no bad campsite on this trail, really - but the one at Burnt Rock Pool might be a bit busy with visitors, so one of the next 2 would be a good idea. They're both gorgeous and not all that hard to get to with a full load. Each are situated across from lovely cliffs and right on the river bank. Have a great hike - we'd love to hear about it when you have finished!
Absolutely stunning shots and editing guys! Outstanding episode 👏👏
Thanks, friend! We recommend this one as a must see when you're passing through this area - hopefully soon 😉
Love the adventure and how you handle the problems with finesse ! Amazing ! The falls are breathtaking and you gave us the perfect view !
Haha Finesse is relative...there are times when we fall flat on our butts, or backs. We just keep getting back up. Thanks, Mom!

This was great. Hats off to Jay and Sheri for sharing another wonderful adventure!
Thanks so much, Jerry! It's such a lovely trail and we can't wait to actually try fishing it next time ;)
@@beautyofthebackcountry Ooo! Fishing it would be awesome!
Tough first hike for sure.

I really enjoyed this one, the falls did not disappoint. I'm glad you took the time to appreciate the scenery while "trying not to die." 😂
Haha Thanks! It's a delicate balance at times ;) Thanks for watching!

Oh, amazing! We believe you'll love the hike - reach out if we can help in any way :) Thanks for watching!
Great video! I have done this trail a few times, and doing again next week. Going to spend some time fishing also!
Oh nice! Good luck fishing - hopefully you have better luck than we did :) Thanks for watching!
