- In today's video, I'll be showing you how to remove and replace your BMW's Serpentine Belt, while explaining the importance of replacing this part preventively. If the serpentine belt snaps on your BMW N52/N54/N55 engine, it could cause an entire engine failure due to slipping past the crankcase seal.

Does it matter which way the new belt words are facing? I know it's a silly question but Google doesn't give me a straight answer
I don’t believe so, the belt is symmetrical. I’m OCD so I made sure I could read the words 😉
Is it smart to just get the belt or kit?
I’d recommend the kit since you’ll already be under the hood.
Something wrong with cluster? Your start up was only 1100 rpm ?? Asking cause imma bout to purchase the same one
that is perfectly normal, my car always starts at that same RPM. It’s been an amazing digital cluster, worth every cent so far

Do I have to replace my tensioner to because my belt is beadly messed up and I just bought a belt but idk if I have to buy a tensioner too
You can spin the tensioner pulley with your hand to see if it stops within 2 or so seconds. If it spins longer than that and makes a noise it’s better to go for a new tensioner. If the spinning test passed install the new belt, start the engine and observe the tensioner. If it moves up and down like in this video you need a new one. Good luck!
