Wow it's wonderful to see the Sunday brunch is alive and well on the Queen Mary. I'm going to have to make the trip from Palm Springs to LB soon just for this!
The best brunch in Long Beach, California. My stepfather, used to be the banquet manager for special parties and would hired me during summer time to be the coats, purses, assistant for the guests and we had lots of H.S. Proms, there 🎉❤😊🎉
@angelahender281 it was quite tasty. It must be quite a feat to keep that 90 year old ship still floating. The brunch allows access to look about the various decks. Fascinating history indeed.
I live in the San Francisco Bay Area that used to have many very good Sunday brunch and weekend buffets before the pandemic. I miss those lavish Sunday brunch in different hotels up here and I have been waiting for those to return. UA-cam vloggers have shown that Southern California has many good buffet restaurants priced at $100 and up per person. My wife and I would love to try those but the region is simply too far away from where we live just to have buffet meals, however sumptuous those will be.
I am not a wealthy person, but my wife and I have had a several New Year’s Day and anniversary Sunday brunch at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Half Moon Bay. The food and the service are truly 5-Stars! We stopped going there when the price became too pricey for our budget. The last time we went there several years ago, our total bill for 2 with tax and “mandatory tip” came to a little over $500. 😮
The village use to be "ports o call". I didn't know it's being demolished. 😢. Thank you so very much for sharing the buffet. I could never pay that 99.$.
That quaint little little ensemble of old styled European looking buildings near the ship originally opened in 1974 and was called, 'Queen's Marketplace'.
I grew up in San Pedro, Ca. Directly over the Vincent Thomas bridge. The Queen Mary brings back many fond childhood memories. Port's O'call village and the Queen Mary were my favorite! Thanks for posting Anthony.
Ports O Call is history. It's being replaced by modern generic looking warehouse structures. The only good thing is that they plan to build an amphitheater at the far end.

If the price was reduced by that much, I don't think it would be the kind of brunch destination that it is today. I would compare it to a day at Disneyland versus a day at Knott's Berry Farm. Both are fun but one is definitely a few rungs lower on the ladder of fabulousness.
If they lower the price, not only the quality of the food will suffer, but the place will be inundated by hordes of very hungry people. It will lose its pretty classy status. You want it to be quite expensive but not too expensive.
I went there two weeks ago. It was a really lovely place! But I couldn’t sleep. I kept hearing a creaking noise. I’m not sure if it is because the ship is old or the ghosts that haunt it. Anyway, I had a great time, and I will visit again when I’m back in town.
We spent the week end there about 20 years ago. We stayed in one of the vintage, period furnished rooms. I remember the bathtub had both salt water (inoperable) and fresh water faucet knobs. very interesting. No noises. I guess the ghosts had to haunt somewhere else that weekend.
IF they have raised the quality which has been slammed since it reopened post COVID and can get the price to be reasonable with bottomless champagne 🥂 🍾 they will get their crowds back!
What I didn’t no they sold food at the queen Mary that’s probably why it’s so empty. Not a lot of people know that they have a Buffett. I love to come down here with my boyfriend and enjoy lunch or even brunch now that I know that they have a Buffay in the queen Mary, I thought it was just like a hotel/museum.
I guess I just don't think I need a thirty second zoom-in on the the scrambled eggs and each and every dish on the buffet. In about ten minutes I showed what a person can expect at the Queen Mary Sunday Brunch. I certainly do appreciate your comment, though.😉👍
You're not the first to say that I somewhat, race through everything. I guess I need to relax. The brunch was $99.00 plus tax and tip. There was an an additional $19.00 if you want champagne.
The parking lot was the view from one side and Long Beach Marina was seen from the other side (the best view). A ginormous cruise ship taking on passengers was in the water at the rear of the ship and a rusty old Russian submarine was rotting in the water near the front of the ship.
too bad when I look at the choice of food and food presentation in the video is not up to 5 star hotel standard. If they improve this and I am sure they will have a lot of customers.

It looks great. Plan to check it out soon. Thanks.
Have always loved the streamlined moderne art deco design of the ship.
Thanks for sharing experience, $99 sounds about right. KKJZ Radio host a gig there 1st Sunday of every month that I wish to attend someday.
Wow! It looks divine. I’m going to fly over for the delicious food. Thanks Anthony for sharing. Enjoy all ! 😀

Ports o call is in San Pedro. The HMS Queen Mary is in Long Beach
Sorry, my mistake.
It was called London Town. Get her facts straight or don't post at all.

@@jodi3068 Goodness. Are you always that mean?

Thanks for sharing .if only if it has free parking & price cut at 60$,or 100$ for 2 then it would have more attendance.

Thanks for that! I'm trying to compare it to the pricey Bacchanal Buffet at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas. :)
I'll bet the Caesar's Palace buffet is primo.
I am surprised there are not more people there. It looks lovely and the food looks delicious.
Maybe because its very expensive.
Because it’s $99 per person for breakfast.
@@barbaramaule1107 It's worth it if you eat the king crab and other amazing seafood. I absolutely would not pay that to eat eggs and bacon.
You have a voice over sounding voice… you should do audio books reading!
What a lovely compliment. Thank you😉!

My birthday day
Happy Belated Birthday!😉
OMGosh..NO ONE at your table partook of the amazing seafood? I can eggs and bacon anywhere. I'm hitting that crab!
You won’t get much subscribers if you blow through all of your videos like this one.SLOW DOWN!!

Geez slow down. So, what was the cost of the Brunch.
You're not the first to say that I somewhat, race through everything. I guess I need to relax. The brunch was $99.00 plus tax and tip. There was an an additional $19.00 if you want champagne.
@@GallivantingwithAnthonyR-ft9ljat that price champagne should be included. Insane price.
I wish you would have shown the view out the windows.

Camera movement is too jerky. I got dizzy watching.
He already said he knows he raced through everything.
No champagne included for that price?
Brunch - $99.00
w/champagne - add $19.00
plus tax & tip
The food is not worth $99.00 and still need to pay for the drink, I dont think I will pay for that price.
You pan so fast you make me dizzy - can't see what many of he foods are!!
too bad when I look at the choice of food and food presentation in the video is not up to 5 star hotel standard. If they improve this and I am sure they will have a lot of customers.
Maybe a little more narration about what is on the buffet… kinda hit and miss
Oh my gosh - please slow down !
Your camera movement makes me dizzy.
I'm sorry for my comment , but your camera work is just not up to Par, I'm very dizzy.
I would sit as far away from the live entertainment as possible. It was a little too loud.
Is this an All Day Meal for the price of one?
🥲Think we best do our own “egg/sausage home bake and add our $15 Korbel to go with it! 😅
@Bridgeoverthevalley Homemade, yes indeed. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that!👍🏻😉😀
@@GallivantingwithAnthonyR-ft9ljtake it to the queen mary parking lot and pretend your there🚢
We'd "look how beautiful everything is" if you didn't pan through so fast.
Not a good video! You need to slow down so we can see the food
