- In this video I return to the location from the cover-photos to Pulver that I took in/around 2005-2006, and share some history and recollections of what started my friendship with Jonas "B"/"Nattdal" Bergqvist and started Lifelover together, which led to the recording of the infamous album Pulver. As well as some background information about the recordings and our pseudonyms. More videos will come in 2019 about the other albums. Thank you for watching and listening. I swear no other band sounds like Lifelover or puts me in the same mental state wile listening to the music. Fucking hell this video really makes me miss my best friend. He introduced me to you guys. He was bipolar and spent a lot of time in mental institutions. Unfortunately he ended up killing himself after years of depression and battling mental illness. He left me his Lifelover cd`s and I think of him every time I listen to your music. It was a something that only me and him shared. Something special. Your music has helped me trough some tough times. Thanks for creating some truly original music and sharing some behind the scenes stuff.

Hopefully, one day, there will be a documentary about Lifelover, and in honor of Jonas

Lifelover is the one and only band I got messed up on with a friend using alcohol and a knife, so the part about self-destruction made me smile and took me back to that time a couple years ago. Thank you very much for your music, because it helped me learn more about myself and it got me through some dark times, and thank you for your time and your videos.

great video as always, there was one part that got me to think about my own path, so i thank you for that.
Truly awesome to take a step back in time to essentially the beginning of where most people know of that is for Lifelover. But it was great that you captured the original scenery for Pulver before things changed. Those were very beautiful pictures. But I enjoy Pulver very much. Very few solid songs that were on that album. To hear that B enjoyed Slipknot makes me idolize him a bit more and the whole concept he had. But at the same time, because of that like you said that Kall became a thing. Which that was a great outcome. To hear how everything flowed and how everyone knew each other was great to hear. For it all makes sense when you broke it down into sections. Truly enjoyed this video!

My question for years now btw.
I was (thank god) at the last show in 2011 in rotterdam, and I noticed a big video camera was pointed at the stage.
Since all the videos on toutube of the concert are recorded with crappy phones, I was hoping for something better to come out ever since.

Not meant as a reprimand by any means; more like a side note, but back in 2006, I had some correspondence with Nattdal over MSN messenger (I know right, haha), and I asked him "why 'B'?", and he told me it was "B as in my last name, B as in B-list black metal "celebrity", and B as in something being very 'B'." That last one might be a little too colloquial to be completely translated from Swedish to English, but I digress.
So you are correct about his pseudonym, I just felt I should share some of his humor when it comes to himself, heh.
Also, do you remember that Shining gig in Stockholm back in (I think) 2005 at H62 on Mariatorget? I remember you and Jonas being there, that must've been fairly early on in your friendship, no?
Yeah, we shared a kind of self-deprecating humor. And yeah, it doesn't translate as well into english about something being "B" as that is a very swedish thing, haha. But I should definitely bring that up when I have my chat with 1853. Thanks for sharing, any fan reading the comments will surely appreciate it.
Yes, a bit too well, haha. Both Fix and 1853 were there too and my first time meeting both Gråby and Acerbus. I think it was the second or third time that I met Jonas and it was him that convinced me to go there. So yes... about some months into the in real life friendship that kept a unhealthy dose of madness intact.

I can't believe it's been so long since Pulver was released. I love that album, I always feel like I'm laying down on that meadow with flowers when I listen to it. Feels weirdly nostalgic. Too bad they removed it :(

the cover art of pulver is one of my all time favorites and was devastated to hear that eleanor is also not with us anymore. my apologies if this is digging too deep but who was she exactly, and what happened? she must have been a really interesting person if she partook in that photo session and i was always curious about her story. love from canada.
I think she was Kim's girlfriend. I did not know she is now deceased.

BTW. Would love to hear more about Eleanor (did I even spell her name correctly?) as she seems to appear many times in the Lifelover's CD booklets. What did she herself think about the album's theme and how the whole photo session went? Also, are there any rejected photographs from that session that you may publish as the "Pulver" trivia one day?
Glad to hear it. I never heard anything but good things and we used most of the photos for different things on the different formats, while I have some alternate versions that I only sold as prints for a while but stopped because it ended up costing more to make than what I got in return. But they will surely be featured in some future photobook when I have a possibility to make one of those.
