So much yes in this video. Two complete studs in their craft. Putting real info out there. All while supporting friends and brands merch stores. Team Ripcord!!! Cheers
Love the approach these guys are taking. Very much an artisan approach to building guns. I'd love to see a head to head between a ripcord gun and SOLGW.
Ripcord would be amazing.... If they were ever in stock. Bought the Multicam Set a while ago paired it with a 16" Centurion Arms Recce barrel and a Drop6 BCG. Haven't shot it yet but damn is it a looker.
Anyone else think of the fact that all these "combat training" videos on youtube consistently uploaded that we are being prepped for what's to come? Just a thought. Great video btw
This is very informative and interesting i randomly came across these type of videos idk why but its reason not too much understanding on guns and or this side of yt learned alot 👌🏾🔥 came from one of your videos with dirty civilian about cqb in your house
One thing that wasnt specifically mentioned here guys is their gas block is made PERFECTLY for criterion barrels. If youre a builder just trust me youll love them.
Whoa, a range I never heard of practically down the street covered by a 2ber shooter I just found out about...ON the same day the video was posted. Talk about close call.
Great content: The Ripcord Ind. LDR1 Is ultimately the best style handguard on the market. In my opinion it's up their with the RIS III. It's just to bad I am a loser poor, and cannot remotely afford a 15" for my 13.9" build that would be a SiK combo!
There’s pretty much only one way to have redundancy in sighting solutions and not need to take off your main optic. More often than not, the guys being pissy about BUIS don’t run the redundancy setup the right way because they’re likely busy hating on tall optic mounts and canted irons. Regardless, magnified optic, piggy back dot, canted irons, IR vis laser and light is the only way you’d have 5 sighting solutions that you can use simultaneously. (6 if you count point shooting). Rail mounted buis is a no go if they’ve got typically positioned magnified optics. If it’s a taller mount, they likely don’t have pass throughs either. That magnified optic has to go kaput to where the etched reticle is unusable before you’d want to remove the whole mount with qd and use irons. That’s a tough go considering optics have gotten so durable these days.
Alright, I like the look of the ripcord gun and it appears to have a very soft recoil impulse. Buuuut...how long does it take for that rail to really heat up? Usually with slim rails like that they get hot pretty fast. I haven't seen anyone talk about this yet so I'm quite curious.
Some variables to consider. Barrel length, cadence of fire, suppressed or not. My 12.5 gets warm after shooting fast on the second mag suppressed. If your barrel is longer, it will take longer.
Good stuff. Isn’t that Trex arms range guy? Also the camera man is farting on camera at 28:17. Unless y’all edited that in there for some weird reason.
When I start a build the order i buy in is.. Barrel , BCG / Bolt , Rail and then receivers . I'm bias when it comes to Receivers so I only use couple and that's it . I'm actually super bias on all parts who am I kidding lol . When you shoot enough and find what works and has never failed. That's when you become bias when it comes to building . When it comes to buying your gonna be bias to whatever you buy because it's the best you got lol . Reliability , durability and accuracy is all I care about . When it comes to accuracy department i think its severely over rated . That's why my gold standard for accuracy is being able to go 3 for 3 on 10" plate from 0 - 300Y with my desired ammo I'm zeroed with . I shoot a lot of 2Gun matches and I've never been able not to hit a target at distance with 2 MOA gun . I'm not using Match ammo because that's not practical for for my accuracy standards. I have yet to see a AR pattern shoot SUB MOA groups every single time. Thata why I think practical accuracy is so much better and more realistic. I find myself using Dot with 3x on most occasions. I can still maintain that accuracy standard even with this setup . Obviously I'll need to be supported by something past 100Y .
Agreed, many people claim sub moa but I always have my doubts. Which receivers do you prefer? I like Centurion Arms but my experience is limited to CA, Aero, and Vltor.
@@ComeOnPelican91 For Upper Receivers I own more Colt , BCM and Centurion are my go too . I do love VKTOR MUR as well . For Lowers Aero M4E1 , Colt , LWRCI IC , and FCD are my favorites. I prefer full Ambi controls. I also love ADM and ADAC Lowers . I usually install PDQ Ambi Bolt catch into any non Ambi Lower Receiver..
@@ComeOnPelican91 When it comes to barrels . These are my preferred choices. Centurion , BA Hanson , Criterion and Colt SOCOM. BA 556N Hanson or 223W Hanson Premium Black Series is IMO the absolute best barrel for price and performance. Centurion MIDWEIGHT HF is my favorite and if I could only own 1 barrel that's what it would be . Colt SOCOM barrel I've been using for 15 years and has not let me down yet.. When it comes to BCG / Bolts . These are my go too . Colt / Colt Canada , Centurion , SOLGW , LMT , and Sionics .. These rails have never let me down and trust them even to this day . Centurion C4 Quad / MLOK , BCM QRF / MCMR , CMT HDM / HDX , and MI Combat MLOK / Quad. I'm still more of Quad fan than anything else . Centurion C4 Quad and BCM QRF12 are definitely my favorites
@@ComeOnPelican91 I only use 3 Triggers . Geissele SD3G is my all time favorite trigger hands down no questions asked. Latue MBT-Flat 2 Stage and Centurion AST 2 Stage Triggers are IMO the absolute best triggers under 100 bucks . Larue MBT is slighly better than the Centurion. Geissele , Larue and Centurion are my the only triggers I use . If I had the money I'd put SD3G ( 3.5 pound config ) Ttigger in all my ARs lol . Larue MBT-Flat IMO is the best trigger for price and Performance no questions asked
I keep my SHTF rig as simple as possible. I have a lot of Gucci rigs, but for real world applications, an RDS, a weapons light, a can, and quality internals are all I need for my current situation. I'm in an urban setting, so my Radian 8 1/2" 300 BLK pushing 110 grain Barnes pills does the trick.
I personally believe he’s got a good build but if you’re in the businesses of selling ars and you’re always outta stock on everything including the barrel what is the point
Does anyone have any contact with Ripcord Industries? I purchased a gas block from them and received nothing. Gas block was purchased in July. No gas block. No answer to repeated emails.
This was just two homies talking about guns and I love it. Absolute gents.
This is what i love to see. 2 bros chopping it up, sharing knowledge, laughing, and training. Love to see it🥹😎
Even Matt Pranka would approve

Dang how much value is actually in this video! Wealth of knowledge!
Drew, I recently purchased your book as your communication style is great. No nonsense valuable info that helps us create good habits.
I’m proud of Steve great job guys

Drew, Thank You for another great video. Lots of great information to train with and add into the instruction.
Good info! Thanks brothers🤙🏻
I have been using "acceptable sight picture" for years as I teach .....glad to know I am not the only one to use it.

Steve makes some of the best recoiling ARs on the market. He's like a mad scientist that also shoots.
That’s pretty accurate.
Good to see the crossover of ripcord and dirty civilian....guntubers supporting other guntubers
I hope this is the first of many in the Rangecast series.
It definitely is.

It's a really good handguard, and he patented the barrel nut I believe.
I'm gonna grab one for my next build. Probably check out their bcg too.
Love it 👍
BUIS set adds +2 to your Ergo stat. Tarkov joke anyone hahaah
