  • There was nothing small about the legendary "Little" Jimmy Scott. His tremulous falsetto with the halting, yet perfect phrasing may have recently departed these earthly bonds for an eternal gig in the heavenly choir, but his voice and its sentiments still continue to grasp the hearts of old and new fans alike and shake them with poignant feelings and a lasting impact that is seldom equaled by artists of today.
Taken from the 1994 Sire Records CD "Dream", "I'm Through With Love" was originally recorded at Beltone Studios in New York City in 1956 and featured:
    Jimmy Scott, vocals
Jerome Richardson, flute and tenor saxophone
    Dave McRae, alsto saxophone
    Waren Luckey, tenor saxophone
    Kelly Owens, piano
    Mickey Baker, guitar
    Leonard Gaskin, bass
    Sol Hall, drums

THANK YOU for making me this wonderful video.
Cause since Jimmy's departure to glory, "I have stocked my heart with icy frigidaire".

That's no falsetto... I hear almost no head voice at all which is astonishing for any singer male or female.
