She really does seem to have had an artistic renaissance recently, and i think the fans recognise this. I fell out of love with her live performances some years ago (mainly because I hate the Hammersmith venue she always played in London)....but recently at the Royal Albert Hall I was thrown back into my teenage years, 1991, tears running down my face and gasping for breath, my hands stinging from applause...the High Priestess was back in the room and DAMN it felt good!
I can't help but wonder if Tori PLANNED to wait until 2011 to blow us all away! I've loved all her albums and have seen her live on many tours, but suddenly her voice seems richer, wiser than ever. I haven't been this obsessed with Tori since '00. Last night, I listened to Pele, Posse, then watched her commentary on Fade to Red. LOVE when she says she wishes she was on lots of shrooms during the SWB shoot ;) I think I want to hear THIS on shrooms! Thank you Tori for blowing me into another world
She has been composing and playing and singing such magnificent pieces of music since decades now:-) is it a renaissance, really? I don't know. It's the world outside who finally recognizes her true genius now as being a composer like an unstoppable queen bee:-)
I wish, but she's not coming to my city on this tour (as far as I know) and I can't afford to travel to Chicago right now :( I've seen her live only three times, most recently on the AATS tour, and I have all the live VHS, DVD, CD, Casette tapes, etc. I wish she'd put out a DVD collection of the ADP tour. I adore her classical sound on NoH, but I also like edgy stuff she did with the wigs, guns, butcher knifes, etc, when she played Pip :P
@Sweetforthesoul Tori's always enjoyed tripping, lol. She said on the Rosanne Bar show (15 yrs ago) that Father Lucifer came to her while she was tripping (ie. "nothings gonna stop me from floating") The first time I heard Little Earthquakes, back in the early '90s, I was trippin on acid with three girls (we were all teenagers) and we laid on the floor and listened, and it was like a revelation. I don't trip anymore, but lately I've been listening to Tori and smoking pot and having flashbacks :p

@torifan4life Yeah, I know. The story about her talking to her father about Father Lucifer is priceless :D Are you going to see her more this year?
