FISHING THE FLORIDA MULLET RUN 2023 //
On this special episode of Abenz Fishing I went out for 3 days in search of what I refer to as Florida's Secret Mullet Run. The Mullet Run is obviously an incredible natural phenomenon and the largest bait migration that Florida fisherman will see. What many people don't realize is that not all mullet make the full migration. many of them are flushed into local rivers and estuaries with strong incoming tides and many of the giant predatory species in the river wait to ambush them.

pretty sure i have the 10'6" version of that rod rated 1-6 oz. i wouldn't want to get on fish like that with a 1-3 7 foot inshore rod. would take you half an hour to land a fish like that. and i wouldn't want to be on a tuna popper working pencils. you need a more moderate rod so you're not working too hard. perfect blank for the job, cut 8-9 inches off of the butt and that's a hell of a boat rod for trophies.
