I love this I teach my 13 year old how to keep herself together we get our nails, feet, hair done on rotation. I also show her how to dress modestly but cute. Also how we speak and what we are speaking about. The best feminine quality is CONFIDENCE !!!

I’ve been called a “princess” my whole life ... I used to try to downplay that and be more “down to earth” to try and be more likable to OTHERS Now I’m like yep, I’m a princess, I’m bougie, and no I’m NEVER “getting off my high horse” It’s ok to be feminine and to have standards for YOURSELF... even if others don’t have those same standards

beautifulnew_u easiest environment to have a feminine journey. Try adding a lil morning routine with light makeup and get a buffer for nails if you don’t like polish. All I did was glam/facials in between my lash sets. Women will understand.

it is an epidemic with how many females That don’t have their femininity. I come from Jamaica so being feminine and looking good and feeling good it is natural so when I came to America I was constantly question asking where am I going why am I so dressed up and at a point I started dressing down because of people around me but now I’m watching videos that brings up my former believes and I’m happy that it’s coming to this

Exfoliating skin is everything🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 I literally exfoliate and literally will shine all winter... scars are even clearing up. I literally have implemented a full Sunday regimen that has changed my life!
I would personally recommend chemical exfoliation to anybody who is new to exfoliating. It's going to be gentler than physical scrubs and won't damage your skin nearly as much.
You are so right.. People treat you by the way you dress. When I wear heels with my skirts & dresses, Men always come up to me and ask me if I am married. Never let someone make you dim your light. My granny and mom always were the best dressed in the room. I was a tomboy so I knew how to dress but I normally veered to pants and a slight masculine look. Now that I’m single against and I have a son and I’m older I’m trying to get more feminine so I can teach my son how to dress and treat women, especially black women.
being in the military and deploying from time can make me feel so masculine. While deployed I make it an effort to do my brows, wear a nude lip and highlighter or blush (especially since my hair is short and 4c) ppl will scoff or judge and think you're trying to "look nice" for someone.
PATTY NEXTDOOR I’m in the Army. I joined in 05 I used to carry a little black purse and ALL the other women would scoff at me. Ppl thought I was soo extra, but I was being myself. I’m an instructor now and I do my brows, wear mascara and a lip gloss everyday. I wear my natural hair in twists, but I will wear different wigs when I feel like it. I bought all the tools to do my own gel nails at home, like I even bought the acrylic powder and everything. My boyfriend also bought me a foot tub and a drill for my nails. I’m watching this while soaking my feet getting ready to do my manicure and pedicure 💅🏿
As to the heels all the time, a big NO as well. You do not be feminine at the expense of your long term foot health. Wear heels, yes but in moderation. Invest in cute flats. Coming into old age without the ability to wear heels at all because you destroyed your feet when you are younger is not sexy. As foot health is as important as dental health as you age.
Heels look cute, until you put those demons on. I have NEVER been comfortable wearing heels because they're all uncomfortable to wear! I can only tolerate wedge heels and even then, I feel awkward walking in them.

i’m 15, and i’m starting to take care of my body, i’m really focusing on my body and my needs. i’ve noticed that a lot of boys are starting to become attracted to me, more are taking their time to speak to me because i have such a soft demeanour. i’m a black girl but i’ve heard “i never date black women because they’re ratchet but you’re so elegant and graceful” very backhanded but i like the fact that they can acknowledge that some of us don’t fit this stereotype, keep up the videos girl you’ve helped me a lot xx

I love being Feminine. I get compliments all the time. Just recently my co worker told me she loved my style. I got it from my mom 🤷🏾♀️😂 she taught me a lot. I miss her so much. When you look good you feel good 💕 and a great personality with good heart goes a long way.
3:45 so true, don't underestimate the power of a dress! Back in the 80s here in Gabon (Central West Africa) when my mom started to work in her early 20s, it was completely forbidden for women to wear pants at work. I've inherited all of her closet (sooo vintage!) and I can assure you that whenever I wear those old patterns, good quality, bright african colors, men treat me way better than my co-workers wearing modern clothes, but mostly, pants. You're so right dear! You walk, feel, talk, behave, carry yourself so differently. Glad that I left the western world to come back home so my mom, aunts and grandmas can re-teach me everything about feminity. 😁😄😃😀😆😍🤩
I am so conflicted about my femininity.. on one side I love having that feminine look. Dressing all sweet and pretty wearing nothing but dresses and skirts, but on the other hand I am currently studying business management and would love to own my own company some day. I love being in a leader position in my work life, but I’m afraid embracing my feminine side to the fullest, will stop me from being taken seriously by other men and women... it’s a real struggle
This is a great point. Thank you for bringing this up. I understand why you feel conflicted in that and I will be sure to make a video addressing this in the series. It is important to remember that you can be feminine and powerful. It's a compilation of both in the business world. In short, I would focus on my personality in terms of communication and how I relate to others. I would do things that make stand out (look polished, be very polite, bring snacks and treats to meetings, be pleasant to be around). In addition wear professional clothing with a flair. Hello, I also studied business and I'm currently working in project management for a major bank. I've always being girly, Iove fashion and looking polished. It has never being a problem at my job. At work I wear trousers but make sure they are fitted and feminine, pair them with blouses and blazers. I agree with the previous comment tho, never bring snacks and food to work. You can be sweet and firm at the same time. Also if you're skilled you will be respected.

S P I think it has a lot to do with the fact that culturally gender roles are being questioned. Some people believe that there is no difference between men and women. I believe that there is value within our differences. I think it is valuable to teach black girls to value themselves and thus value their femininity. 🤷🏿♀️As black women we really have to take care of ourselves and put ourselves first because we are responsible for so many.

The best compliment I’ve gotten was an unexpected one by a senior citizen man at the grocery store, I was wearing a black and white classy dress, knee length not revealing my chest and with low heel pumps, I also have very long hair and always wear it in a slick tight braid, the older gentleman went up to me and congratulated me on looking like a classy feminine women, he said “I don’t see women nowadays dressed so feminine and decent like you, you took me back to the days of my youth when women dressed like ladies” it was so unexpected from a stranger I felt good and thanked him, to be honest I felt honored that an older gentleman acknowledged my hard work I put in myself everyday 😊

If you're like me and don't like make up just have a good skin routine , apply a good moisture and a bold lipstick that's fine. You don't need a full make up look to be more than average. ❤️
I grew up with a lot of boys, was always out in garage with my dad, my mom wanted the girly girl but didn't have a clue how to raise one, she did opposite by suppressing me. As I've grown I worked a lot of yrs in beauty industry, this helped me in so many ways. I now work in a very physical demanding job where I sweat, get dirty and work with mostly men. Needless to say being feminine is hard, I'm basically one of the guys. It's a huge battle for me, I get up at 2a.m for work, I still take the time to do my hair whether that's braids, curls knowing I'm going to throw it up due to sweating my butt off, I still take the time to put on make-up the little amount that I wear. I've never been a huge make-up fan but I love pampering myself the little I do makes me feel good, I've gotten better in softening my wardrobe for everyday life since I'm in work boots and t-shirt at work. I love your advice, I feel as long as you are doing what is making you feel softer, cute, sexy feminine you are on the right track. I have a long way to go in embracing my inner feminine but I feel our society needs a lot of fixing in not surpressing girls at every turn. Thank you.
You can do anything you set your mind to. The only block that exists is the one you are creating that says its hard. Besides, the risk is worth the reward, and you don't know unless you try. It is possible to be feminine, a mother, and run a household. It has been done, you can do anything. Try not to limit yourself or what you think you can't do, otherwise that will become your reality. Take small steps, you don't have to make major changes, create a routine and overtime people (including your family) will understand and respect what you do for you, essentially helps all of them. You cannot pour from an empty cup. Be patient with yourself beauty starts inside, When you value yourself, you make time for yourself. Children or not.
Put an ad in the paper for a nanny or house keeper. Higher a cleaning company. Have kids do small jobs to help (depending on age). Help for higher. Their are people out their and companies as well. Best wishes luv!

I agree but I think that sometimes women who take the time to really put themselves together often can give off an air of conceit. I work with a young lady like that. She is actually very nice but a lot of people don’t warm to her. So when you are put together you are naturally feeling good about yourself but don’t lose your natural kindness. And don’t look down on women who don’t have their style all together. Remember clothes don’t make the woman.
and remember that just because someone doesnt dress “feminine” doesnt mean theyre being lazy. a lot of people dont feel confident in “feminine” clothing, while others feel more confident in “feminine” clothing. this is the same with guys, as some guys feel more confident in “feminine” clothing. putting effort in your appearance is good, but some choose not to focus on that aspect of their life, and thats perfectly fine. the most important part is *confidence*. so dont think that just because a woman doesnt feel confident in “feminine” clothes, doesnt mean they are being lazy.
This video made me feel soooo good about myself! Just over a year ago I decided I wanted to be more feminine and desirable. I lost a ton of weight and invested in myself! I began a day and night skin care routine, I went for makeup masterclasses because I wanted to learn the right way to apply makeup, I started doing my nails as frequwently as necessary and stuck to very girly colours, I got a few clothes made and gave my wardrobe a needed upgrade as I had lost weight anyway, and I told myself I would never go into work without heels and light makeup (even a pair of strip lashes make all the difference). I typically purchase ruffle and puffy sleeve tops now and my next purchase will be a piece of high end (dainty) jewellery and studs! I feel so good about myself in making all these changes and feel even more determined to consistently keep it up!

Great video and points. About the light dainty jewelry, I love them and think their cute. But as a woman of African decent, I try to appreciate larger jewelry and bracelets that mimic that of African tribes and royalty. I think they can be feminine worn the right way. We have to be careful to not tailor femininity in a Eurocentric way for looking feminine may differ from one culture to the next.

Due to my anxiety about life in general, i have let my self care go for the last few months. I woke up desiring to feel like a powerful, gentle, happy sexy woman again but the way i carried myself recently has been far from that. Last week i worked out daily, had great conversations with women in my life, last night I showered, shaved, exfoliated, put on some dainty jewellery and meditated on who i wanted to be. Then i found your video. This morning, I did my hair, got my nails done, and booking appointments for eyebrows, hair cut and facial tonight. This playlist is amazing! thank you! I only wear tinted moisturizer, mascara & finishing spray and I brush my brows. That’s it lol. I do however believe women need to wear less. Too much makeup can look incredibly clownish & harsh. On my lips I wear a balm & my lip gloss that has slight tint & bronzey pink undertone. Women need to invest in their skincare.
I agree with the skin care thing 1000%. I'm not a makeup person myself at all. I feel like I don't need it, the only thing I need is lip gloss. I wear jewelry though and love it. I do need to take better care of myself as a whole. #blessingsarecoming

I have been taking care of my skin: exfoliating, moisturizing with lotion and oil, massaging my feet with Vaseline...it took only two weeks and now I am glowing and my feet are finally soft. Thanks for the knowledge in this video!
When you mentioned getting pushback about "overdressing", that struck a chord because for a while that was my experience too. And so I started to put less and less effort in my appearance at home, and this spilled over into how I looked going out. Wow... Honey, everybody starts from somewhere. I love 2.5 to 3 inch heels. I cant do more than 4 inches and I've been wearing heels since high school days. Start with kitten heels. Practice doing make-up in your alone time. You are not late, its not a race. I wish you well my love 💕💗💕

Yes it's tough in the cold, honestly but if you can find some extremely warm tights and warm over-knee boots then you're set! A cute long coat or faux fur jacket can also complete the look!
Thank you for this video. I don’t look good in Red lipstick or makeup. I have worn makeup and everyone says I look old. A guy dumped me one time because when he saw me with no makeup he said I looked unappealing. That hurt me and I’ve been single 5 years now. What I did when that happened was get into top notch skin care. Facials once a month plus micros and peels twice a year in the fall and winter. I like my skin now.

I wouldn't describe that as "laziness" IF those are the reasons they aren't engaging in self care. I would say a lot of women are overwhelmed because if they are caring for "this and that" it would seem they aren't lazy ppl, they are tired and overwhelmed. In my opinion, tired and overwhelmed doesn't equate to laziness. Tired & overwhelmed while neglecting self care simply means they may need to find a healthy & appropriate balance in efforts of integrating time specifically to care for themselves.

I would personally recommend chemical exfoliation to anybody who is new to exfoliating. It's going to be gentler than physical scrubs and won't damage your skin nearly as much.

As to the heels all the time, a big NO as well. You do not be feminine at the expense of your long term foot health. Wear heels, yes but in moderation. Invest in cute flats. Coming into old age without the ability to wear heels at all because you destroyed your feet when you are younger is not sexy. As foot health is as important as dental health as you age.

Back in the 80s here in Gabon (Central West Africa) when my mom started to work in her early 20s, it was completely forbidden for women to wear pants at work. I've inherited all of her closet (sooo vintage!) and I can assure you that whenever I wear those old patterns, good quality, bright african colors, men treat me way better than my co-workers wearing modern clothes, but mostly, pants. In short, I would focus on my personality in terms of communication and how I relate to others. Hello, I also studied business and I'm currently working in project management for a major bank. I've always being girly, Iove fashion and looking polished. It has never being a problem at my job. At work I wear trousers but make sure they are fitted and feminine, pair them with blouses and blazers. I agree with the previous comment tho, never bring snacks and food to work. You can be sweet and firm at the same time. Also if you're skilled you will be respected.

S P I think it has a lot to do with the fact that culturally gender roles are being questioned. Some people believe that there is no difference between men and women. I believe that there is value within our differences. I think it is valuable to teach black girls to value themselves and thus value their femininity. 🤷🏿♀️As black women we really have to take care of ourselves and put ourselves first because we are responsible for so many.

The best compliment I’ve gotten was an unexpected one by a senior citizen man at the grocery store, I was wearing a black and white classy dress, knee length not revealing my chest and with low heel pumps, I also have very long hair and always wear it in a slick tight braid, the older gentleman went up to me and congratulated me on looking like a classy feminine women, he said “I don’t see women nowadays dressed so feminine and decent like you, you took me back to the days of my youth when women dressed like ladies” it was so unexpected from a stranger I felt good and thanked him, to be honest I felt honored that an older gentleman acknowledged my hard work I put in myself everyday 😊

If you're like me and don't like make up just have a good skin routine , apply a good moisture and a bold lipstick that's fine. You don't need a full make up look to be more than average. ❤️
I grew up with a lot of boys, was always out in garage with my dad, my mom wanted the girly girl but didn't have a clue how to raise one, she did opposite by suppressing me. As I've grown I worked a lot of yrs in beauty industry, this helped me in so many ways. I now work in a very physical demanding job where I sweat, get dirty and work with mostly men. Needless to say being feminine is hard, I'm basically one of the guys. It's a huge battle for me, I get up at 2a.m for work, I still take the time to do my hair whether that's braids, curls knowing I'm going to throw it up due to sweating my butt off, I still take the time to put on make-up the little amount that I wear. I've never been a huge make-up fan but I love pampering myself the little I do makes me feel good, I've gotten better in softening my wardrobe for everyday life since I'm in work boots and t-shirt at work. I love your advice, I feel as long as you are doing what is making you feel softer, cute, sexy feminine you are on the right track. I have a long way to go in embracing my inner feminine but I feel our society needs a lot of fixing in not surpressing girls at every turn. Thank you.

You can do anything you set your mind to. The only block that exists is the one you are creating that says its hard. Besides, the risk is worth the reward, and you don't know unless you try. It is possible to be feminine, a mother, and run a household. It has been done, you can do anything. Try not to limit yourself or what you think you can't do, otherwise that will become your reality. Take small steps, you don't have to make major changes, create a routine and overtime people (including your family) will understand and respect what you do for you, essentially helps all of them. Thank you for talking about nails and how others do evaluate the hygiene of dealing with them. It is a real concern that bacteria can easily transfer from under super-long nails after the wearer wipes their bits and pieces. A length that is easy to keep sanitary speaks volumes. Some just say that depending on previous experience with Make-up rubbing off on them and their clothing. They might actually just prefer less makeup or the more natural look.

Yesss I purchased everything I need to start doing my own gel pedi and acrylics so I always look put together. Plus the gel lasts infinitely longer than polish.

I agree but I think that sometimes women who take the time to really put themselves together often can give off an air of conceit. I work with a young lady like that. She is actually very nice but a lot of people don’t warm to her. So when you are put together you are naturally feeling good about yourself but don’t lose your natural kindness. And don’t look down on women who don’t have their style all together. Remember clothes don’t make the woman.
and remember that just because someone doesnt dress “feminine” doesnt mean theyre being lazy. a lot of people dont feel confident in “feminine” clothing, while others feel more confident in “feminine” clothing. this is the same with guys, as some guys feel more confident in “feminine” clothing. putting effort in your appearance is good, but some choose not to focus on that aspect of their life, and thats perfectly fine. the most important part is *confidence*. so dont think that just because a woman doesnt feel confident in “feminine” clothes, doesnt mean they are being lazy.
This video made me feel soooo good about myself! Just over a year ago I decided I wanted to be more feminine and desirable. I lost a ton of weight and invested in myself! I began a day and night skin care routine, I went for makeup masterclasses because I wanted to learn the right way to apply makeup, I started doing my nails as frequwently as necessary and stuck to very girly colours, I got a few clothes made and gave my wardrobe a needed upgrade as I had lost weight anyway, and I told myself I would never go into work without heels and light makeup (even a pair of strip lashes make all the difference). I typically purchase ruffle and puffy sleeve tops now and my next purchase will be a piece of high end (dainty) jewellery and studs! I feel so good about myself in making all these changes and feel even more determined to consistently keep it up!

Great video and points. About the light dainty jewelry, I love them and think their cute. But as a woman of African decent, I try to appreciate larger jewelry and bracelets that mimic that of African tribes and royalty. I think they can be feminine worn the right way. We have to be careful to not tailor femininity in a Eurocentric way for looking feminine may differ from one culture to the next.

Due to my anxiety about life in general, i have let my self care go for the last few months. I woke up desiring to feel like a powerful, gentle, happy sexy woman again but the way i carried myself recently has been far from that. Last week i worked out daily, had great conversations with women in my life, last night I showered, shaved, exfoliated, put on some dainty jewellery and meditated on who i wanted to be. Then i found your video. This morning, I did my hair, got my nails done, and booking appointments for eyebrows, hair cut and facial tonight. This playlist is amazing! thank you! I'm feeling my power and higher self already!
I only wear tinted moisturizer, mascara & finishing spray and I brush my brows. That’s it lol. I do however believe women need to wear less. Too much makeup can look incredibly clownish & harsh. On my lips I wear a balm & my lip gloss that has slight tint & bronzey pink undertone. Women need to invest in their skincare.
I agree with the skin care thing 1000%. I'm not a makeup person myself at all. I feel like I don't need it, the only thing I need is lip gloss. I wear jewelry though and love it. I do need to take better care of myself as a whole. #blessingsarecoming

And so I started to put less and less effort in my appearance at home, and this spilled over into how I looked going out. Wow... I am turning 50 this August and these past few years have been kind of difficult and has resulted in me, losing my self and losing my femininity and my will for self care. I want to re invent my self, for me first, and to fix my relationshio with my husband as we have gotten a little too comfy with each other after 25 yrs of marriage😊.

Yes it's tough in the cold, honestly but if you can find some extremely warm tights and warm over-knee boots then you're set! A cute long coat or faux fur jacket can also complete the look!

Thank you for this video. I don’t look good in Red lipstick or makeup. I have worn makeup and everyone says I look old. A guy dumped me one time because when he saw me with no makeup he said I looked unappealing. That hurt me and I’ve been single 5 years now.
What I did when that happened was get into top notch skin care. Facials once a month plus micros and peels twice a year in the fall and winter. I like my skin now.
Judging from your profile picture, the guys sounds like a superficial jerk. You're a beautiful woman and if there's anything you need to work on, I'm guessing it's a combination of confidence and being relaxed (could be wrong, but that's my guess).

He would make fun of how much makeup I would wear or how long it took me to do my hair and would talk about the girls at school that were better at sports and how he wished I would be more like them. I agree with all of what you state with the exception of "it comes down to laziness. Some women get tired of caring for this & that, etc!" I wouldn't describe that as "laziness" IF those are the reasons they aren't engaging in self care. I would say a lot of women are overwhelmed because if they are caring for "this and that" it would seem they aren't lazy ppl, they are tired and overwhelmed. In my opinion, tired and overwhelmed doesn't equate to laziness. Tired & overwhelmed while neglecting self care simply means they may need to find a healthy & appropriate balance in efforts of integrating time specifically to care for themselves.
Micah B Yes, for many it is that. If you continue the series you will see that I address those women who care for others and aren't prioritizing themselves. But for many it is laziness.
