THANKS FOR WATCHING! How did you feel on your first watch of these episodes?
based on what we have so far in the books there is hints that stannis may burn shireen but we have yet to see it actually happen @TheOctobersReact
Dany left because the harpies were only targeting her, not the other people. The longer she stayed the more blood will be spilled, people who are trying to protect her.
Not her son on the boat. Its the prince's son. She only have sand girls (bastardS) with oberyn.
Tyrion said it best:
“If you want justice, you’ve come to the wrong place. “
Haha I always think of what Ramsay said. “If you think this has a happy ending, you haven’t been paying attention.”
@@TheAbominableDrFaustusRamsay made a metacomment about this show and still people were shocked and emotional so many times. That's how good this show was.
The episode with Shireen always makes me think of Cersei's conversation with Oberyn. He said, "We don't hurt little girls in Dorn", and she said, "Everywhere in the world they hurt little girls. And in this episode, we see how true it is. The girls suffer in the Pleasure House in Bravos, Shireen suffers in the North, and Myrcella suffers in Dorn. And they all suffer at the hands of people who are supposed to keep them safe. So sad.
Myrcella didn't suffer in Dorn. She believed she was in love and took strolls along the water garden with Tristane.
@@kemikemi I ment this episode, when she was dying. In general yeah, she was happy in Dorn, and if Oberyn returned safely from Kings Landing, she'd likely be in no danger. Alas.
just like the real world
That final scream of shareen gets me every time 😢
It kills me
most impactful scene in the show to me
I won't watch it. I have the series on Blu-ray and I fast forward that part all the time.
One of those "Did they need to show all of what happened" scenes. Not so much the showing of it, but the sound of her screams... Could have played some dark music over that bit instead!
for me, the scene lost a bit of impact because I felt like they were being a bit cheap by adding in that whole Stannis/Shireen heartwarming story just a few episodes back.... It was like they were trying too hard to manipulate us w/ shock value. But imo, it made this scene feel rushed and jarring.
"DAMNIT!! I don't want John to die. There's no one I like."
Welcome to the club😢
It's important to know that Dany doesn't control Drogon completely. She rode him, but he still doesn't obey her and goes where he wants.
Cersei’s Villain origin story was her birth. She’s been a horrible person since Episode 1.
I think how Tywin treated her had a lot to do with it, though.
@@HuntingViolets true.
Thats just not true. She lost her mother young. Her father treated her like shit and taught her to hate tyrion. Rhaegar rejected her. Robert beat her. The witch gave her a grave prophecy. She was a twin. And all she had was Jamie and her quest for vindication and freedom. Not many people would come out “nice”
She wasn't born in episode 1
the biggest cliffhanger in TV history, Game of Thrones shook the entertainment world AGAIN with this one when it came out... best show ever
IDK the who did Negan bash their head in cliff hanger was better
This is my own opinion, but it was this episode which let me know that Game of Thrones was *officially* on the downhill slide. Having Theon and Sansa dramatically jump off the tower wall and then not showing the result is some soap opera level nonsense and there's more of that around the corner.

I believe the dragons are bonded and feel what their rider feels. Drogon was already on the way because he felt Danny's panic.
Right, I think Dany closing her eyes and taking Misundei’s hand was her resigning herself to the fact that they were about to die.
In the book, he just smelled blood, so he flew in. The boy was just hungry😭
So true.. Although he was a bit away, Drogon probably felt something in his blood that Dany needed him.. on top of it possibly being a bit of Drogo himself in Drogon.. they're connected in a lot of ways.. so makes sense Drogon would come running.
She was in danger for only about 5 minutes so if he sensed it he was close. Just seemed like shitty writing too me
nah he smelled blood lol
5x9 is one of the most horrible atrocities ever in this series. Absolute evil. That poor girl.
Also having to wait for a year for the next season after that ending when the show was running was torture!!
It is a horrible atrocity to Stannis' character, aye. Because Stannis WOULD NEVER burn his daughter. In the books he orders his men to put Shireen onto the throne in case anything happens to him, he tells all the Lord of Light worshippers to shut the hell up because there will be no more burnings. Stannis will never do it.
Stannis is someone who would break before he bends. He will never ever let a bit of snow justify burning his daughter. This is the same man who shared rats with his starving men, holding out against 100,000 men camped outside his walls with a couple hundred. Stannis would never burn his daughter.
@@sultanofsultans The show bungled the scene by rushing it and being cheap by purposefully inserting a "daughter I love you" scene in 5x4.... But Stannis WILL be the one to burn Shireen in the books. GRRM is already quoted in James Hibberds (of Entertainment Weekly) "Fire Cannot Kill a Dragon" behind the scenes book. This is Georges quote from the book: " It wasn’t easy for me. I didn’t want to give away my books. It’s not easy to talk about the end of my books. Every character has a different end. I told them who would be on the Iron Throne, and I told them some big twists like Hodor and “hold the door,” and Stannis’s decision to burn his daughter. We didn’t get to everybody by any means. Especially the minor characters, who may have very different endings." He specifically says STANNIS's decision. Context matters though, and the books will build up months & months of starvation and desperation.. They won't be using a stupid "ramsay 20 good men" shortcut to rush it in 1 damn episode.... The scene literally loses all power if Melisandre or someone else just randomly does it without Stannis being the one to order it though. Would be the biggest cop out.
@@starsimvidzlmao Stannis is literally away from her and commanded his men to put her on the throne. It is not happening. As usual show idiots screwed things up.
@@Cream-2128 That quote is literally from GRRM... Its a quote HE GAVE To Hibberd. But go on, keep smoking that copium.. The battle between Stannis & the boltons could go on for almost the entirety of TWOW...A book that will likely be 1500 pages of manuscript... plenty of time for Shireen to somehow make it to Stannis's camp.... But it doesn't matter cuz GRRM has lost the plot and will never finish. The narrative is so wildly bloated that he destroyed it.
@@Cream-2128 ummm... did u not see the part where I quoted GRRMs own words... Those are HIS words he gave to James Hibberd... I didn't make it up. And without a damn book, its the closest thing we will ever get to an answer. The stannis vs bolton battle is going to be a massive set piece that could take the entire book to wrap up... more than enough time for characters to be moved around the map lmao....
Too bad GRRM turned out to be a pretty lousy writer who let his own story bloat up & implode on itself.
And here. We. Go.
Oysters, clams & Cockles is the alarm on my phone 😂
Sweet Molly Malone . . .
"Tyrion's out there like chuky" caught me off guard
Going into the final 3 seasons, try not to let how others feel about it give you a preconception of the show moving forward. There's a lot to enjoy in them.
But also when you try not to let other people’s feelings get to you, that includes brain dead stans who love everything. When it seems dumb, it is.
One thing I do like about the book is of course that you can get inside characters heads - in the book it is expressed time and time again that Cersei is the most beautiful woman in the seven kingdoms. I think in the show we hear Tywin say that, But in the books, it is a commonly held opinion. However, now she is aging, and a woman’s value in Westeros is very much tied to her beauty and her womb. She has heightened insecurities about this, and by the time this happens to her and she is made to be naked in front of everyone it’s purely humiliating and humbling. She spends the entire walk, trying not to cry because her father never cried in public, and when she finally fails at the end and breaks down, it’s a really big deal.
NOW GET READY FOR THE ABSOLUTE BEST SEASON OF THEM ALL. 6!!!❤❤❤❤
12:50 No, Shireen and her mother stayed with some household guards in Castle Black and the batte for Winterfell hasn't happened yet. We don't know what'll happen to them after Jon got stabbed though
However, I suspect the show runners were privy to info we were not.
The Dumb and Dumber said that allegedly GRRM told them this happens to Shirin. But it had not happened yet. And knowing what I know, even if thats true, it will have a lot more context and better story telling.
I think there's an interesting way to think of Stannis' mental storyline. Why does he want to be king? He doesn't have any especial yearning for power or glory. The north star of his life is *duty*. He doesn't _want_ to be king to be powerful. He believes, absolutely, that he _must_ be king because Robert is dead, the kids aren't actually his, and therefore the throne is Stannis', period, that's the rules, there isn't any other choice for anyone.
And then meanwhile, while he's not inherently a particularly religious person, he's got Melisandre there telling him the One True God, the Lord of Light, not only wants him on the throne, but _needs_ him there to be the Prince that was Promised, to guard against the coming darkness, by all presumptions the White Walkers.
So from two different directions, it's his personal Duty to take the throne, and it's the realm's Duty to accept him as king. So anything and anyone that stands in the way of that is automatically evil and must just be destroyed. Anything. And if he comes to having to believe there's some power to be had by sacrificing Shireen, her life is now a thing that's standing between him and What Must Be. And in fact, his _love_ for her, and his desire to protect her, is _also_ a thing that's standing between him and What Must Be. So he _has_ to kill her, and he _has_ to kill his own desire not to kill her, because those things are now themselves part of the evil.
Meanwhile, there's also real meaning in his last words there to Brienne. "Do your duty". He didn't love the idea of killing Renly, particularly in that manner, but he felt it was his *duty* to do it. He has to, therefore he must. He doesn't like it, but he doesn't regret it, because it was his duty. So on the one hand, he doesn't feel like he _deserves_ to die for it, but at the same time, he absolutely understands that it's her _duty_ to kill him for it. And so how says it; "Do your duty". Not defiantly, or angrily, or dismissively. Just a plain, straightforward recognition that *Duty.* *Is*. *Everything.* And if it's your duty, then right, wrong, desire, feelings, mercy.... none of that can be allowed to apply. It's your duty. You have to do it. No matter what it costs anybody else, or you. It's your duty.
Imagine living a whole year waiting to see how this plays out?
17:32"Tyrion out there like Chucky" had me dying! 🤣🤣🤣
Yo I came here to write the same exact thing, had me howling 😅
Same! 😂
Myrcella's death is the embodiment of GoT for me. We go from complete happiness, Myrcella acknowledged Jaime as her father, to sheer terror in the blink of an eye.
Jaime needed to hear that from Myrcella so much. Great acting by both in that scene.
She said..”He’s so sweet” (stannis) 😂
"Tyrion is out there like Chucky." 😂😂😂😂😂 Omg man
Arya was wearing the face of the girl she helped die by drinking the enchanted waters.
DO Not stop watching Plz!!❤❤
The books don't have a scene where Stannis burns Shireen, but George Martin has implied that it was a plot point from him.
I definitely suspect it will be. I’m kind of surprised so many Stannis fans adamantly refuse to accept he would do this.
@@bsixtwelve9799 I don't think Stannis would do that, but the Free Folk at the Wall might do that because of her illness.
he could, but he'd have to survive the battle and go all the way back to castle black (or have shireen come to him)
idk, feels like grrm would have to go out of his way to have that happen. maybe she dies as a result of the conflict in castle black and stannis turns 100% evil
He could definitely do it, but it would most likely have to be to do with "the others" as she's at the wall.
Wife and Melissandre are more likely culprits at the current part of the story.
@@victorc8855it might happen without him being present.
Mrs. O gets the giggles like I do!! 😂😂😂. This is definitely one of the absolute hardest episodes to watch 😭 I think it made us all sick to our stomachs and enraged. I knew you would eventually change your tune about Stanis, we all did too.
I laughed at 'Tyrion is out there like Chucky'
the music when dany rides drogon for the first time is incredible
As much as I hate myself for thinking this, the Realm would probably be better off if Tywin was alive to help Tommen. Like, come on Tommen, bail your wife and Mom outta jail bud.
Tommen is a-BOY-king with no training or experience being a true king, his personality is much different from his older brother-Joffery-he knew what power he had and did almost everything he wanted to do.All tho Joffery got checked a couple times by Tyrion and his father Tywin.
The only Lannisters really best for the crown are Tyron and Tywin in the entire show >.> Joffrey, Cersei, Tommon, even Jaimie, don't think any of them are fit for the crown. Tyrion and Tywin could rule together and do a damn good job at it.
Season 6 is actually my favorite. I still enjoy the series as whole with all seasons but would definitely say, just keep going.
In the Book Stannis leaves his Wife, daughter and the Red Woman at the wall with The Nights watch, while he is posted up outside the westside of Winterfell with the mountain Clans of the North, and has captured Asha(Yara) from Deepwood Motte and her brother Theon while transporting the Bastard of Bolton's wife "Arya" to the wall. All are alive.
Ps: The Dragons NEVER STOP GROWING!!
Lol 😅😂
Drogon is "still small"
Seasons 5 and 6 still have redeeming qualities and some of the best episodes of the series, especially 6. It’s 7 & 8 when the writing falls off a cliff.
I liked season 7! There’s some great episodes, especially THE SPOILS OF WAR
Awesome I can now start my S5 binge! At the start of e1&2 video... Mr October: "this show can't get any crazier" oh boy I'm going to enjoy the next few hours hahaha
"That man aged like Brett Farve!" Had me laughing. Great line!
Old man Favre would have hit Dany lol
@@brantheblazed4322 🤣
Hey guys! Some non-spoiler FYI:
The first time Dany felt very distressed (after she executed that one guy and turned the crowd against her), Drogon came and checked on her. He saw she was fine so he flew off again to play and explore.
This episode, Dany was again very distressed. In comes Drogon. He took some heavy punishment from those spears, but he was prepared to stay and fight to the death for Dany. Dany knew the only way to save Drogon and her was to hop on so they could escape. Drogon took Dany to what looked like a place he had been staying. Wounded from the fight, Drogon wanted nothing else but to rest.
Season 6 is the best one for me.
24:00 Mrs October, you explain perfectly here why Stannis will never burn his daughter in the books
26:20 And that is why Stannis would never burn in the books. He only burns cannibals to get the magic from Melisandre. But he won't burn because half of his army are Northern who want to fight the Boltons and found the courage to rise up when Stannis came.
RIP the character of Stannis. The actor did a great job. Funnily enough, he did not understand the turn Stannis took so he did not like doing his job. He did his duty. What a Stannis thing to do.
Brandon Stark killed it this season. 😂
Stannis is consumed by ‘Duty’ & ultimately corrupted by it, remember as a younger man he was willing to starve to death to hold Storms End because it was his duty.
Those of us who watched originally had to wait one long excruciating year to find out what happens in the aftermath of Jon’s death. I’m glad you don’t have to wait as long.
I always appreciate it when y’all appreciate set design and costumes lol
to Stanis "You'll receive what is yours by right..." He sure did...
Maisie was in NY premiere night of Season 6 and she posted she wanted to watch the epi with some random fans. She picked some film school students. They thought someone was joking with them until they answered door, and there's Maisie with a arm full of snacks. She appeared on James Cordon and was all British with her they had a charming flat and I had a lovely time. James said this is a good way to get killed! I'm sure Maisie had someone go with her and let people know where she was and when to expect her return. Very nice and down to earth thing for her to do!
I never heard that story before, I hope it’s true! I love Maisie!
I absolutely love Maisie. You should see her on Diary of a CEO. Heart wrenching & inspiring. First guest Steven ever got up and hugged. October's, don't watch yet because I can't remember if there are any spoilers. I will remind you when it's near the end.

In this episode it becomes obvious that Shireen's mother constantly talked about how great the lord of light is because she was trying to talk herself into it and probably also to keep up the facade and not being burned like other non believers including her own family members killed by Stannis in season 2., Stannis was a true believer all along, he never felt the need to outwardly show his beliefs or to prove himself.
S6 is so awesome. In fact, you will be introduced to a new character who's actress you've probably seen before, but to say anymore would be a spoiler. Not for the story, just the reaction of seeing her.

Stannis was always my favourite character and it really annoys me what the writers done with him. It’s like they just ran out of ideas for him
Regarding Drogon and his refusal to move: he was injured in the arena in Meereen. He was hit multiple times with lances, he flew her back to his "lair" (you can see the charred bones of his previous meals), and he's recovering from his wounds. Also, Daenerys has kinda bonded with him, but definitely does not control him.
Not everyone hates the last seasons of the show. I LOVED it lol The last 2 seasons are fast paced which feel like a treat after such a slow moving first 2 seasons. Enjoy the show and don’t overthink it😊
The septa saying, "Confess," is played by Hannah Waddington, who went on to play Rebecca on _Ted Lasso._ There is a cute video of her and Lena Headey meeting on the street one time.
The cutting of Cersi’s hair is taking away her vanity, which in the Bible is a sin, not that she’s a Lannister with blond hair.😂😂😂
I had to go look at pictures of the actress that played Shireen after this episode. It helped to see her happy, alive, and in the real world. She broke my heart with her portrayal. It doesn't get easier with multiple times seeing it.
Jon's death was just brutal and so undeserved. We were devastated as were most the fans. I swear I heard yelling in our neighborhood that night - unreal. We had to wait a whole year or more for the next season. It was HARD.
Tyrion’s reaction/amazement to drogon coming in to the rescue is my favorite
Those giggles at the beginning 😂😂😂
The Stannis & Brienne scene originally had more dialogue but they cut it here it is
BRIENNE: “Do you have any last words?”Stannis considers.STANNIS: “Do you believe in the life to come?”Brienne nods.STANNIS: “I don’t. But if I’m wrong, and you’re right… tell Renly I’m sorry when you get there. I don’t imagine I’ll see him wherever I’m going. (beat) And my daughter. Tell her… tell her…”“Sorry” doesn’t begin to cover what he feels about Shireen. The thought of it brings tears to his eyes, and he’s not going to die weeping in front of a woman he doesn’t know. Stannis stares up at her.STANNIS: “Go on. Do your duty.”Brienne raises her sword and brings it down with a mighty swing."
Where did you get that?
@@clee3133 from Watchers On The Wall and many sites. Type in Stannis excised dialogue in your web browser
Sounds made up.
I wish viewers wouldn’t tell people to not get too invested in characters, it’s like telling your kid “don’t let yourself love your romantic partner bc you’re probably gonna break up” lol. If you dont get attached to characters than when they die it doesn’t hit as hard emotionally as it’s meant to
I believe Daenerys closed her eyes just before the dragon came to save the day because she had accepted and was bracing for her death.
the best series ever.
It truly brings out ALL of your emotions. The highs are only so good, because the lows are really low.
Haha nice catch on the kiss and the poison...
As for Arya and the whole faceless men thing you guys really just gotta read the book...it's way better especially with Arya worging into a cat while she blind so she can see... ect
shireen's screams alone were truly emmy worthy.
Book Stannis would never sacrifice Shireen like that
Drogon was just licking his wounds
These are some of the most brutal episodes. There will be some happiness down the line, but also more misery.
What I eat depends on what time I watch the reaction. If it's at 4am after I get home from work, it's ALWAYS popcorn. If it's like now, around noon, after I wake up, it's whatever lunch is that day. After I watch a reaction or two, it's time for computer games until work time. LOL. It's way easier eating watching a reaction than when mashing the keyboard.

Stannis hasn't fully marched on Winterfell yet. He's posted up on the other side of a frozen lake in the books, currently. The sacrifice of Stannis's daughter is only in the show at the moment.
Could you imagine being killed in probably the most painful way possible and your parents just watching? The only people in the world who are supposed to protect you? Having your last thoughts being “I truly have no one in this world who loves me” it’d be horrible.
There's def magic with the no face god. Ayra is my fav character, even though I love many others.
Book readers always complained when the show did stuff different from the books because they lost their smug face when they didn’t know what was going to happen. The show was still great when it passed the booked. Just the final season was a little rushed but still hit the plot points R R Martin was going to put in the book and that was their real gripe, that the show was spoiling the story of unwritten books.
Lmao no they just know the plot is stupid. Just like Ramsay 20 good men bit or the whole Dorne plot. The show became about cool looking scenes and plots all over the place. The later seasons still have moments and is worth watching but just stop with only the last season was bad. Season 6 literally set the tone for season 8 make everything look cool even though it makes absolutely no sense at all.
That intro. Lol That moment the gummies kick in.
Lmao, This is the comment ive been looking for 😂
Thanks guys, going back through this journey and you guys having the same reactions we did is so cool too relive 🙌
I think Drogon just sensed his mama was in trouble.
In the books it didn't happen, (at least yet), Stannis ordered Davos to put Shireen on the iron throne if something happen to him.
Yeah, I really do miss those golden locks circa seasons 1 and 2 (Mr. October’s and I guess Cersei‘s too).
Cersei has hated 'the people' since the beginning of the show. Why would they stand up for her?
wow what a powerful reaction again! Thank you for this!!
- as for Cersei's atonement - just remember the scene for later
- as for Jon's death - really hyped for all the next reactions to everything that will be connecting to this!
Jon was letting wildlings in not because of emotion, my dude, but because it's more people to fight against the white walkers and less to become the army of the dead. Wildlings actually know and believe he is right about the army of dead, while the southern armies and even some people in the night's watch and the North don't. It was the correct decision, but a tough one because of their history.
Never read the books and I had no idea. But when the watch killed him I was so fuxking pissed man. I was a Jon fan since episode 1. When it aired…
As for the size of the dragons they just keep growing bigger as they get older at a slower rate but they do keep getting bigger...
Oli asked Sam for advice and Sam told him to follow his heart. Little did he know they were discussing Jon's murder
Dany didn't summon Drogon, the director of this episode said that, she was having a moment of peace/stillness before her assumed death
Imagine having to wait a full year (or more) for the next season after that finale! The struggle was real!
Amazing reactions! Since you asked for explanation, Jaqen is the many faced God, and his magics are the most mysterious of all magics in Planetos. This is why many GoT fan calls him sexy Jesus.
I don’t think the last seasons are necessarily that bad, more rushed. Just watch with an open mind and don’t let negativity ruin the rest of your journey.
Tomen being weak king is biggest reason why Sparrows become so powerful this season. It just shows what happens when you have weak king.
Tywin's death left a power vacuum. The High Sparrow filled it. He's as much of a fanatic as the Red Woman or the Faceless Men.
You are the favorite Movie reactors of my daughter and I. We love everything about you guys, including you deep love for each other. we love Game of Thrones so much, I bet we have seen it at least 10 or 15 times. The story is so deep, it's easy to miss the little things. Please don't worry about eating snacks. We all do it, we've even had dinner watching you many times.Keep up the wonderful work. The wait for release of the next season was so painful!
These are two of the hardest episodes to watch in the entire show. Great episodes, but rough. Very rough.
Aaaaand that's where the book readers remain.
