Just bought this bow for my 7 yr old, I think it is a perfect intro bow for a beginning youth. My 14 yr old doesn't like it as it's way too small for her. But hey, had to try it sometime.
I agree. Great to give the basics to the younger ones. I even enjoy playing with it. If it’s in your budget and your 14year old is really I treated in archery the bear cruiser g2 is awesome. It’s adjustable from 5-70lbs draw weight and draw length is adjustable to fit almost anyone. My wife has one and she loves it. Price point is about $400 I’m sure there’s plenty that cost less that would be good for entry level also.
@@captleesoutdooradventures7133 I appreciate the feedback. We are taking that advice as we already discovered that the Bear Warrior is to small for my 14 yr. We are hoping to visit our local Pro Store this week and would love to pick up a bow for Mom and Dad as well. Thank you for the vids
Thanks for the review. I am thinking if getting this for my 8 year old son. I wonder if it may be too light for him, but he's not very big either. What brand of arrow is the one you said flies better? Thanks!
He is probably on the borderline of it being too light for him. They have some other bows in the same price range that have adjustable draw weights. Most carbon arrows will fly better than the ones that come with it I am shooting are “carbon express”. I’d just check Walmart and buy some clearance arrows. A few will usually get lost anyways.
It has an adjustment screw to move it up and down. Follow the arrow, it you shoot high raise the sight pin up. If you shoot low lower it down. The boat really isn’t fast and accurate enough to be overly concerned with sight pins. After using it for a while I decided it’s better suited for teaching the basics. Form, building the strength to move to more powerful bows, and most importantly learning safety.
Bear's website says it can adjust from 16-25" draw length and 5-10lbs draw weight, but I cannot figure out how to make any of these adjustments and they lack any literature on how to do so.
Just so people know its a very accurate bow when it is set up correctly . #1 shame on the dad for not setting up the bow for her . Who doesn't add a string arrow nock right off the bat so the arrow is at the correct position? The arrows are not flying the same because the arrow is being put at a different location of the string every shot because you didn't add a string nock . #2 just add a few string nocks to hold the finger guards in place . Its not brain surgery. Just doing these to simple things will change her option about the bow because if she does her job and holds the pin on the target guess what the arrow will hit in the same place every time . What in the heck did you do ,just take the bow out of the box and say hear you go start shooting ? You are like the worse dad ever . How about you take 10 minutes out of your busy day and set up her bow . Then make another video and ask her again what she thinks about the bow .
Also if you watch the follow up video that we did later you’ll see that we added a string knock on the bow. It’s not rocket surgery to check for updates and progress.
Nice job team!!!
Good stuff! You could tie in those finger rollers to keep them from moving.
Jayson Allen that’s what we ended up doing. Thanks!!
Fantastic...Hope to see more soon...

Thanks for posting this video bud👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 We’ll be getting these for our girls to start with😎🏹
Testeroni Onetwothree we thought they would be great for beginners. 8 months in and they are both still working perfect.
What was the name brand of the other arrows you used instead?
I’m using Easton Bloodline arrows. Almost any quality carbon arrow would be a huge improvement though.
Hi, how do you set up the site pin?

Glue holds. Am I am genius?
Can you adjust the draw length?
Dustin Rogers no you cannot adjust draw length or draw weight.

Yeah I don’t really love my kids. I just pretend to for UA-cam likes and subscribes. When the video was over I threw the bow in the trash.
