Phaistos and Gortys, Where Europe started! - Crete vlog

In this limited series of videos, I'm taking you on a week-long trip to the Greek island of Crete, one of my favorite places. By the end of the series, you'll understand why :)
In today's video I visit two of the most famous archeological sites on the south of Crete. Phaistos, a former Minoan palace, build by the first European advanced civilization and where they found the infamous Phaistos disc.
And Gortys, the capital for the region during the Roman empire, one of my favorite dig sites on the planet. Proof that humanity has been facing the same issues for thousands of years.

Good to see more of your trip :) I used to love learning about mythology at school (I used to have a class called "Classical studies", so about the Romans and Greeks). Probably why I love Stargate: SG1 so much xD
