I totally understand what you're going through. I was diagnosed with panic disorder 6 years ago and it is so frustrating. It can be completely debilitating. It helped me, so much, to talk to other people. I felt like I was crazy. Explaining what was happening to others, who didn't have anxiety, was awful. My friend, who also suffers from anxiety helped me by letting me know that what I feel is completely normal. It runs on my father's side of the family and they all got it around the same age as me. I started seeing a psychiatrist and was prescribed meds, because it is so bad. I've been able to regulate my PAs for the most part and whenever they do happen, they're not nearly as bad. It's still hard, but I'm managing. Talking definitely helps. Something else that helped me was watching other people's videos about anxiety. It was so helpful for me to see so many people out there are having the same experiences and finding out how they deal with it. I am not saying meds are right for everyone, but they are for me. Just so you know that's not what I am suggesting. I hope you feel better soon!
Bless you ❤. It really is crippling, isn't it. I have meds, and they definitely help with the depression side of things. I have talked to sooo many people over the years, and now I'm at a point where I don't want to talk about it because it's been 22 years and I'm done talking about it 😆.
Well done for regulating the PAs - they're the hardest for me and I need to work more on getting through them.

Omg that crystal nail is just 😘🤌🏻! You *are* getting better at crystal placement. I've found that the more of those your do, the more comfortable you get and the better the placements get. And omg this set of polishes! 🤩🤩🤩🤩 I've been dying for this set since they came out. But I'm trying to hold myself back lol. I buy so many gel polishes because they're pretty and then they just sit around taking up space and I don't use half of them. Ey Joseph I hear you... Anxiety is shit! I'm suffering too... I lost my mum in June 1st Xmas without her & got an endoscopy tmrw to see how my cancer is doing (I was told I may only hv a Yr left in 2019 but I'm still here😁) & straight after that I've got a bone density scan to attend because of my osteoporosis 🤷🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️ffs.. I've had 8 clients this week & my god my work has not been upto standard.... I am rubbish at work when I'm having really bad anxiety. When I used to have loads of clients, I would really struggle. I think the best thing to do is tell your client how you are feeling, explain that you might be a bit quiet, and if they're a decent human being, they'll understand. I think the scariest thing for me was when I had clients that were new-ish, and I didn't know how they would react if I suddenly needed to step out for a minute. It's important to have clients that are understanding, because you will feel less anxious if you know they're not going to get annoyed if you need to take a break to refocus. The only clients I have now have been coming for years, so if I'm having a bad day I put some episodes of Modern Family on, and we are pretty much silent. Or I'll ask them to talk a lot about everything that's happened since I last saw them, and I just focus on what I'm doing (not really taking in what they're saying!) I also say the alphabet backwards in my head, as it makes my brain think about that instead of being anxious. I think the best advice is to make your work area a 'safe place' with things that calm/comfort you. Be honest with your client about how you're feeling, and put on some episodes of your comfort show. I'm rambling, sorry! Let me know how you get on with tests. I will cross everything for you 🤞. Much ❤.

It takes me hours to do my nails, but it does relieve my anxiety and everyone loves my nails (me too 😊). I want to try the different color swirls you did 🙏. TY again, new subscriber.

Oh it 100% takes a lifetime to do your own nails! When I used to wear extensions, it was a 2-3 day process! 😆😆. I think these cat eyes are some of the best I’ve seen. They are gorgeous! 😻 I feel for you with your anxiety, I have it too. I’m extremely agoraphobic, and all sorts of other fun stuff that comes with it. Every Thursday I meet with my therapist, she’s amazing and I love to see her. But without failure, Monday comes around and my anxiety kicks in. It’s full blown by Wednesday, and by then I get so worked up, I start throwing up. Thursday morning comes around and panic is scary and I’m freaking out. But, when I get to my therapist, bam! I’m good to go for my session and feel so good after visiting with her.
Then Monday rolls around and I start all over again. Rinse and repeat. 😆 I have to laugh, if I don’t, I’ll be crying and throwing up every day. Funny thing this last month, a change was made for one of my meds and now I’ve been having hallucinations. Good times. 👍 Geezus, talk about tripping balls. I’ve never had them before and all I can say is w0w. 😵💫 The funniest thing is that the med is used to help treat people to have less hallucinations. And now I’m having them. 🤦🏻♀️ Considering what’s happening in the world around us, I consider myself fortunate to have a great support system and really good doctors. Take care. 🫶

These nails are sooo gorgeous!! Those polishes are AMAZING! I am so tempted to buy them! I am so sorry you are suffering with anxiety. Anxiety is hard. My husband used to have it really bad. When we first got together it was rough! Going to events was out of the question. I will tell you though it does get better. He had really bad symptoms of ptsd as well and has managed to overcome them. We can go to concerts now with no problems. Beautiful nails! This year has broke me. Between anxiety and depression, I haven’t felt like doing any nail stuff all year. Lost both of my furbabies within months of each other. I just feel empty inside. Hopefully 2024 will be better for everyone.

I have what would prolly be described as a “normal “ amount of anxiety but I do deal with other issues, prolly depression and hopelessness more than anything. I don’t know what is worse?!? I wish that I had the words to provide you comfort because you bring me so much joy! You always lift me up. I love your art and learn so much from you too. Even if they’re well-meaning, it can be really invalidating. Anxiety is so debilitating, and I’m so sorry that you’ve had a rough time. We are all here for you. 💕

Being a nailtech sometimes helps suffering from anxiety & panic attacks for over 10yrs but it’s jus something I’ll never get used to no matter what medication or coping mechanisms there are, it’s physically & mentally exhausting & absolutely changes everything in your daily life..but being able to lose myself in my art helps sometimes & from your energy i would of never noticed by these videos that you also struggle with anxiety 🙏🏽🤎you & your work are amazing & helped in my nailart like you wouldn’t believe!🥰

i feel your pain Jo, i asked for some mental health help from the local nhs help, but i got told due to having eupd (personality disorder ) and serious long term complex medical conditions (just had brain op number 9 or 10) that i am too ill for them to help me with my mental health, even a workshop group with people with long term conditions said i am too complex to help me. so thats fun.

It has been an absolute sh*t week. Mom had been in a nursing home for the last 6 months or so, but she took a turn for the worst this week. Her boyfriend has been causing nothing but problems, so I haven't even been able to mourn. I have been dealing with SO much stress, because of him, that I won't be able to settle down and mourn her until after I get her ashes back, safe and sound. 💔

Don't appologize for talking about anxiety. A lot of us live with it and I find it's important people hear about it in which ever field of work they are. I mention it freely as well and notice some people live with it and have no idea what it is or why they feel the way they do. A lot of them feel guilty about how they feel, and they shouldn't. It's nothing they did. So I'm always glad when you mention it here and there and still show and talk about the amazingly awesome happy nail stuff. I already painted my toesies Christmassy sparkly. When I get down and look down it makes me happy. :D And hopefully when others have let-head-hang-low kind of day, they might see my sparkly toes and maybe it can bring a bit of happy to them. Here where I live for the time being it is hot for Christmas, so I'm wearing a lot of sandals. Makes sense that my toes should look happy. :)

Yes you do need to cure the cateye polishes as they are gel. You can get regular polish cateyes, but these are gel so definitely need a cure 😊.
