    Just watched this and it amazes me to see that Vanford reel in action knowing that it still outperforms the new model.

    Nice video. Nikko has never let me down. All their soft plastics have produced great for me.

      their prices are pretty close to ridiculous though

      @@ifishcatfish They are, but only if you lose the lures. I still have never had to replace one of their lures because the fish tore them up too bad. I always end up snagging them well before I need to replace them. I started only using them in low snag areas. The cheaper soft plastics get thrown in the brush piles.

    Catfishing, carp fishing, comparing circlehooks, comparing baits, comparing rods....those were your good old days! However, you’re gonna do what you want to do...and that’s your right!

      i actually don't like reviewing products, but those are the only videos that get traffic... I have a few reels coming up in fast sequence. I would much rather do fishing videos like Realistic Fishing, but that doesn't work for me. It will have to be a mix..

    Good stuff bud, I really like your uncut videos. I'm always interested in seeing new baits for ultralight fishing. I've seen a couple of your other videos with the Nikko worms and I've checked out the website. They've definitely got some good products. I've wanted to get quite a few different things from them but still haven't pulled the trigger. In truth, they're so many different baits that work, it'd cost a fortune to buy a quarter of them.

      i would say their products are high quality but low value. The problem is price. Not worth it, unless you want to just buy a couple of packs for fun. Once you glue them though... you are done until you snag them..

    Nikko is my favorite soft plastics to use, especially the Caddisfly 1.5" and Hellgrammites. Very tough and lasts for 30+ fish easily.

    I'm going to buy quite a few colors and see if they would work for trout, also I think they would work great for perch too.

    Having commercial troller fished for salmon on the west coast of Vancouver Island. We fish for sockeye salmon with small pink hoochies and catch all species of salmon some over 30 lbs.

    It looks like a typical crappie tube jig that has been around for decades. Nothing new. They work great. Hollow body collapses easy when fish bite down to expose more hook. Another nice day out.

    • @ifishcatfish
      @ifishcatfish  3 роки тому

      yeah, it does look similar. It feels very different in the hand, it feels like those z-man elaztec baits. Also it is biodegradable, so u dont worry if the fish eat some or u lose some in the water

    Would you say the use of Livescope affords you the opportunity to try new lures such as you did here? If you fish three other brush piles with no Livescope and no bites/fish caught would you assume the bait does not work? Also maybe have a second rod with a Trout Magnet tied on and alternate every few casts to the fish to see if they do prefer one bait profile over another. I enjoy your UL videos (Panfish) and will subscribe.

      Opportunity? So without livescope there is no opportunity? How did people donit before livescope? :). I have a folder with crappie lures videos. This is the first or second with livescope. Livescope is nice but everyone has opportunity. People review lures even wothout a boat.

    instead of fishing a octopus, fish for bass or musky!
