I love BOTH these planes. Excellent comparison and review.
Love the arrows planes. I have about 90 % of them and there all great especially for the price these days. Thanks.
Abby and Nate, y'all rock! Love the channel and content. Peace
Two decent planes. If ' n I was to start flying I think I would go with the pusher. Less opportunities to break the prop, even though I'm sure I'd manage it.🥴🥴. Have a great weekend Saylors. ⚓️⚓️👍💛🧡💚👍🥴👍⚓️⚓️.
Beginners should definitely go with the pusher, My fist plane was the AeoroScout,
I LOVE big beginner planes. The bigger the plane is, the more forgiving it is! Much less touchy than the little ones also 🙌 Thanks for sharing!
I remember when I got a RTF E-Flite Apprentice S 15e with a battery and charger for only $270. I thought that was expensive back in 2016. Now the STS is $330 with no battery or charger. I miss the old days.
Thanks for the recommendation. I ordered one for my brother!
Hey guys, just wanted to say that I learn and enjoy the vids. I live close to Muncie, IN and the home of the AMA. It's worth a trip to the AMA fields and museum. Bring your plane, a lot of fields to fly in.....AMA members, no charge.
Its too bad they quit selling the non-rtf version. It was only $129, and still came with a Vector I think. I love this plane. I use mine for aerial photography. I'd definitely gift this RTF to any beginner. Its super durable, stable, and easy to fix with a little glue if you ever did break it.
Buddy of mine bought the Trekker rtf for 230 a couple months ago from our local hobby shop.. Great plane..
Early squad where you guys at happy flying all 😊😊😊😊⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️
and yet more beginner airplanes too choose from.
have a hard time deciding to finally pull the trigger.
Thank you !!!
Hello guys thank you for the vid,
I have the prodigy great plane - it is amazing in high/turbulent winds! Good glide characteristics. 2200 3s I can get 20-30 minute flights! Thanks Abby & Nate loving ya work. Ignore the haters.
Wow, I like that Prodigy better than the Concendo simply for the size difference. Looks nice, forgiving if you crash, and under $200!
My buddy bobst told me about you guys. Looking forward to checking out the videos! Looks like a fun hobby. My channel is also hobby related but nothing like this.
Awesome! Tell him we said thanks for letting you know about us, and welcome to our channel! I’ll definitely check out your channel tonight when the kiddos are down for the night, lol. 👍💯⚓️
@@TheRcSaylors awesome!
Watched a couple videos last night. Do you have a video breaking down the cost of this hobby cuz i bet like any of the hobbies it can rack up a bill but it looks so fun
NICE educational experience!! I honestly learned something!! I try to learn something new everyday, so thanks Saylors for my senior education!! 💟👍😎
That was interesting. I think the Prodigy probably free glides better.
Just like to ask if you have done a test on the Huntsman ( red and black plane ) it is a bank and yank only. But it does have a crash function if you are 10 meters up , hit the button and it falls out of the sky. Handy to bring down fast if need.
AeroScout S 2.1 is so much Better and Spectrum DXS becomes your buddy box transmitter when or if you advanced on to better transmitter.
The Aeroscout is a great beginner plane, thats still fun to fly years later.
Nice beginner airplanes .I start again in rc flying after 12years of stop .I want to buy beginer airplane but there is too much choiche .i think it will be apprentice sts or aeroscout.
What is the best to buy as beginner ?
If a person was going to buy this platform and upgrade the motor/esc, what would be recommended for longer flight time? Great review. Thumb up!
8:17 - "Hoh!!" (That was a "Freebie," Nate. EZ to see that everything was under Complete Control, and the "World's Greatest Camera Operator" was NOT in any way "Threatened with Physical Harm." (But both of these Little Airchines aren't the Sort that get Blown Away in the first little puff of Wind. {Easier to keep in the camera's field of view, I Imagine.})
👍👍
Gliders are impressive and that fast vertical climb wow!
Told you I’d come check out this video, now I’m thinking about the Trekker. How does it compare to Horizon Hobby’s Apprentice? Thanks for the video and the advice brother
Just getting started in the hobby of RC!! Planes, Helicopters, Boats and cars Just be aware Planes/Helicopters Mostly (factory) transmitters In USA the UP/DOWN are reversed, DON`T ASK ME about my discovery!! craft glue and foam yup starting out first time and you decide against foam, NOT a good decision, again I have er ah seen it hahahahhaahahh....Now as for the video AWESOME this guy/gal team top notch in both entertainment and education
@TheRcSaylors
I was about to use your link to buy a full-size AeroScout S2 RTF, til I saw this video.
Is there any reason to get the AeroScout S2 over the Prodigy or vice-versa?
I got here because the reviews on the AeroScout's front wheel had me looking around and randomly saw this video. I have to takeoff and land from my hay fields (uneven fields but very long), front yard, or gravel driveway.
I have no pavement, just a gravel 1/4mi driveway and large wide open fields.
I like the idea of the bigger airframe in the prodigy, BUT... this is my first aircraft. I've only played (a lot) of flight sims and flown drones before.
The added benefit of the Aeroscout over the Prodigy is landing gear. Though in some cases that can be a hinderance. In your situation, hand launching might be better than trying to take off from rough grass, etc… Then of course there’s also price! Remember the Aeroscout now does NOT come with a charger and battery, so that is an added cost as well. Both brushless and 3S, and have flight stabilizers. Both similar capabilities! Your call at this point I suppose, but I do request that you order yours using our link, if you don’t mind. 🙏 Thank you! 👍😎💯⚓️
@@TheRcSaylors DEFINITELY going to use your link! You both were the ones that keyed me into what to buy.
I had read the nose wheel on the AeroScout was kinda weak. There are a few posts online about people taking the gear off and putting milk carton skins on the bottom to land on instead. lol.
I was also worried that the AeroScout might be a little less powerful, and thus would be less fun after I had gotten the hang of things, and that maybe the prodigy would be a "longer term" aircraft?
I actually think I may be able to use my charger in my basement that I have for my Traxxas Trucks I have a Hitec X2 AC Black Edition charger. The plugs look the same.
how would you rate minimum rc i have had some experience in rc planes before and i,ve flown some aerobatic 4-5 channel airplanes.
Are pushers a lot harder to fly or does the skyking 600 just suck? I found a A800 very easy (puller), but the skyking felt really top heavy in the wind.
jow would you rate minimum rc for a intermediate as in ive flown 4-6 channel airplanes up until now.
Do you buy the aircraft you review or are you sent them ?
Sometimes we purchase them and sometimes we get discounts, and sometimes they are sent to us. I always encourage people to start making videos, and reach out to companies! You never know! 👍💯😎⚓️
Hi Nate. Can you post your discount code for the DeeRC H16R monster truck? Thank you so much. I really enjoy all of your videos. Keep up the good work. 🙏👍
Budget friendly durable an flight stabilisation mode RTF Under 200 😮
prodigy looks like the easystar
Hi nate. Will you be getting the big ultimate gasser out anytime soon ? Would love to see that again
UA-cam has gone crazy with commercials. i had to wait 5 minutes to watch this. I feel UA-cam owes me money for watching ads now. And its the same commercials for every video on every channel. I hope they fix this quick
Owe data for reals
I’m sorry to hear that Richie! I’ve noticed they now have an instant skip feature, which they’ve never had before! It’s nice of you to watch the ads on our channel to support us, but please feel free to skip the longer ads. Hey, I’ve been watching more UA-cam than anything lately! TT, IG, and facebook are all just garbage stollen Shorts. And apps that we pay for like Hulu and Disney just release trash now so we only ever watch older shows! UA-cam is my jam, and I’ll let a few ads play to support the creators since it’s Free 😁❤️💯😎⚓️
Best thing I ever did was commit to UA-cam Premium. No more commercials/ADs.
Just change your browser to one that stops ads. Simple.
☺️✌️
for being a luke-warm rc pilot (just ahead of a newb) lol, you nearly ate asphalt like fifty times duuude. kinda looks like some ADD was coming through
In today’s world, I think we’ve all got a little of that coming through. I can’t just fly in circles any more. Gotta push it a little, lol. Have a good day! 👍💯😎⚓️
honestly i failed trying to be funny. ive been a sub for years and learned alot. the best ive learned about you guys is that your faithful christians as well am i. and my comment wasnt a verry Christianly one. i am sorry for that. honestly i surely would've ate pavement. camt wait for the next episode and god bless
@@wrenchg3954 fellow Christian here, much respect for you admitting your comment was harsh instead of funny.. God loves when we admit our wrong❤
@@busybody1474 thanks for the reply. ya know we all have got to admit that we're all just human. not a single one of us are or were ever perfect,(well other than the father). we have and always will make mistakes. it really how we learn stuff. you really must fail to succeed in life..and you've got to recognize it and do your best to change it.
@@wrenchg3954 Amen brother ♥️
:-)
does any of them come with a throttle cut?
Not these, no. Do you coat your throttle stick with peanut butter and set it down near a pack of dogs while plugging in your battery or something?! 😅⚓️
@@TheRcSaylors no but I have made my chare of misstakes over the years and bump the throttle is one of the things I'd like to spare a newcomer.
It's such a small safty future it should be there. You won't find a quadcopter kit without an armswitch so why wouldn't planes have it? 🙂
Good to see you guys. we need to chat about a rcskydiver, how can i show you, for your thoughts?
👍👍
Do you know what type of foam the planes are made from?
