I'm baffled, never heard of Beryl before but her achievements are beyond astonishing and deserve much much wider recognition.
amazing really. She's arguably the greatest cyclist that has ever lived and yet her achievements are only now really being recognised.
I've just started reading Jeremy Wilson's 'Beryl: In Search of Britain's Greatest Athlete'.
Lovely lady presented me with my cycling medal at the Rotherham Wheelers cycling club presentation in 1982
She gave me a medal during the Harrogate festival of cycling in 1978 lovely lady with a massive drive to win
Rode in quite a few time trials which beryl rode in she was amazing but such friendly person
I enjoyed watching this video. Beryl was inspirational. A Yorkshire women with true grit. With a lovely family who supported her passion for cycling. When I am out on my bike I will think of her. Thank you for sharing.
as long as this is up
she won't be forgotten
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Absolutely brilliant. Status: Legend.
Surely the greatest ever female cyclist. Maybe the greatest cyclist.
Not said but a woman who held a man’s record also, what a woman!
The greatest women’s cyclist ever, not just but in the UK but in the world.
In fact the greatest athlete ever..... of any sport.
I can't imagine how there could be a better athlete.
Legend
legend & greatest female cyclist ever
greatest cyclist ever (not gender specific) IMHO
Great video.
If wonen had the range of races that men had in World's and Olympics, she'd have had scores of gold medals at those levels
its not the bike its the engine and she had an engine
Amazing athlete, the bikes on the stage should have been steel 'period' machines, though!
No arguably about it, surely?
