I like DASH a lot; I've listened to it a few times and I'm sure it's gonna keep growing on me further but the crown jewel of this EP is Run For Roses FOR SURE It's a good day y'all it's a good day
This might be too much to ask but can you make a video about Idols that people call bad and see if they are actually bad or never showed their entire ability(like maybe they're Rappers or something) or can improve in the future and people just don't see that (you know ones called dozens or mostly over looked)
JYP had Mamamoo on his show and said, "we need a vocal group." These girls are so talented, they just need a commercial song that would appeal to more people. That's it.

The one part that really got my attention to this group was in their roller coaster stage practice video. During the first chorus when Sullyoon jumped and she still sounded so stable, I had to replay that part again and again, which probably affected my algorithm and my feed has been filled with their performances ever since.

and this is exactly why i personally think Nmixx is a once in a lifetime kpop group, i doubt there would ever be another group that is as vocally and dance wise as talented as them in kpop history, with the way the industry is now, we probably will never see another group like them
@@steph7090Kiss of life is good but isn’t comparable to Nmixx. The only thing kiss of life is better than Nmixx is rap because of Julie. Dance wise they are both good (Natty and Julie on fire) but as a group Nmixx wins considering none of them are bad dancer and also synchronization. Vocal wise it’s clear, Belle is more close to Sullyoon than Haely. Lastly the most important thing that made people think they are that talented is their stability while dancing hard choreos. And in this area, their only competition is Mamamoo But really Kiss of life is good, they have so much potential.
Nmixx is so rare and so wonderfully talented. If they don’t become more popular, I feel like that’s telling the industry to keep focusing on lip synching and not focusing on real talent.

I keep thinking about that. It's amazing she's able to keep dancing… and crazy she wasn't diagnosed earlier -- in my country, schools check kids for that every year up through middle school. It also makes me wonder how tall she'd be if she DIDN'T have scoliosis or if they had caught it when she was a kid (maybe it's just me, or their shoes, but Bae looks like she's shrinking -- Sullyoon isn't supposed to be as tall as her)

Sometimes being easy/fun to work with is more important to directors/producers than raw talent -- Bae may be "Nmixx's weakest vocalist" but she's such a sunshine and understands nuances so well it doesn't matter

They don't have a great rapper, but they don't need one for their music. Jiwoo and Kyujin are good enough and fulfill that role well for the raps they get.

Thank gods BM's debut was mid.
NMIXX, the group itself is a cheat. Some groups only have 1 or 2 vocals who can blend. Meanwhile, in NMIXX, everyone can sing and blend. + their rap and dance skills are insane! An all around group baby

I feel this kinda unfair. Unfortunately, NMIXX's style and artistic concept are not commercial as other groups', but that has an inmense value and that's why i think they are the best GG of their generation. I would love them to be more recognized, but it would be a shame to lose that essence for more recognition. It's like indie music: there are groups with a LOT of success, but others that have a more unique and artistic side, style, talent. Nmixx has showed the world who are the most talented of the 4th gen. That's enough for me, so proud of them.
I believe that they will gather more loyal fans this way. Look at itzy, they got popular too fast and couldn't reach the same success, leaving them with questionable fanbase.
I do think that their style and concept make them shine so much, many commercial songs would not make their talent shine as much. JYPE knew that and it is probably why they promoted their performances with covers, those covers show how talented they are but their songs? Really make them shine.
I'd make a small correction. They don't have "bad" songs , they simply have a completely different artistic approach compared to the groups you mentioned as popular. They have FAR more artistry in their projects than 99% of K-Pop groups which doesn't match GP musical taste and dare I say artistic intelligence. But to each their own.

Lily and Haewon are the main vocalist and Sullyoon too, Bae is definitely a lead vocalist she is in vocal line , kyujin and Jiwoo are good in all the categories, @@BaeYeonSae.
My hope for NMIXX at this point is for them to go the route of NCT 127, building a large dedicated fanbase despite the hate train and not changing themselves if they dont want to.
Truu becoming a hit to the general public would be a miracle (tho nothing's impossible) so I just hope that their fanbase will get bigger and they will gather more dedicated fans that will support them all throughout the ups and downs.
That seems to be exactly what's going on, fortunately for them. NMIXX isn't going to be "Nation's Girl-Group" level like Twice had at its peak, but their fanbase seems LOYAL. If I'm JYPE, I'd rather have a good-sized but dedicated base than a huge but shallow base that will move to the next new-shiny after a couple years -- this shows in NMIXX's real sales: physical albums, merch, concert tickets.
I also initially found their early releases disappointing, but I now realize that those songs have been shaping their foundational artist skills and personalities.
Rather than saying nmixx's music isn't "good enough" I would say they're not mainstream enough, I'm completely against the idea of defining how good a song is based on how much popularity it has like the infamous "chart fans". Nowadays the most important thing for a song to hit big is Tik Tok but this can only happen if the song has that "it factor" that tiktok users enjoy but even so is risky cause many people won't bother listening to the full song except for that one part, which is also why songs are getting shorter. I can name plenty of groups who have an incredible discography but couldn't become bigger cause they didn't have that kind of luck so it's really never about the music and especially in nmixx's case because most of their songs don't sound like the others.
I'm a 2nd gen stan (Pink PANDA) and it's a nightmare to comeback to kpop and discover that singing live is almost dead in the industry. You rarely find live performances and when you do it's usually not good. It makes me wonder why some of them were allowed to debut. BUT NMIXX CHANGED THE GAME. Some of their songs actually blend well with my 2nd gen playlist. It' been a real treat for us who prefer vocal groups. Support NMIXX Let's go!
Thank you for the great video! I got to agree with you. The thing that sets NMIXX apart is not only their talent. But it’s their talent combined with a REAL passion for music. They all sincerely love performing and singing. And to top it off, they are also humble and hardworking. Their skillfloor and skillceiling are the highest I’ve ever seen in a kpop group. That passion really came through during the JYPN days. I watched those videos and pondered why they seemed so much better than most other pre-debut member showcases prior. I came to the conclusion that they seemed truly confident, lacking in timidness. And it felt sincere, not just the “I’m the best” fake braggadocio that is so common in personality-/image-driven pop music.
@@dafunkk12 I remember seeing a 2022 video that pitied NMIXX's lack of critical success because, like ANOF said, these girls obviously LOVE performing, even shy Sullyoon, and it shows in their live stages -- you don't always see that passion in other groups even if those groups put effort into giving a good show.

I feel like, because NMIXX is so talented, that JYPE and Squad division dare enough to play part with more artistry and exclusive songs rather than general commercial songs like many of others. Like they said, O.O was more of a teaser, to be dare enough to make their debut like this, I'm sure the division has their believe they wont fail or at least in the future through their journey. It feels like everytime they comeback, except for Love Me Like This, is them develop one after another in artistry. Squad is giving us a journey, like JYP said, he doesnt like just a one time wonder song but prefer artistry of songs that can be long lasting tho truthfully NMIXX doesnt have any legend-long-lasting song yet. If its not NMIXX, I dont think any of the other groups can even cover their song to be at their level of perfection at those songs, and it might even sound funny or worst, I stand my ground.
I don't think any other Korean girl group *_could_* cover NMIXX's songs even if they wanted to because the talent just is not there to pull it off, except for more mainstream stuff like "Love Me Like This" and "Party O'Clock". NMIXX, especially Lily and Haewon, have the vocal chops to pull off any style they want (within reason), so why not take advantage of that by mashing sh!t together? The girls themselves seem to enjoy the challenge.
@@Soufriere84 even LMLT and Party O'Clock are still very hard songs to cover, especially Party O'Clock that contains so much falsetto lyrics. And the funny part is there is only one performance that cover nmixx song (LMLT), and its not from a debuted group but from A2K show. I don't remember the name of the group but it consisted of KG, Kaylee, and one other member that i also forget her name (sorry). It's only 3-person group covering a song from 6-person group so they cut some parts to make it managable, and obviously the result isn't perfect but they still delivered a great performance considering they were just participants of the show, not fully a JYPe trainees yet. And i think today's VCHA will able to perform LMLT well.
I like Run for roses so much... ❤This type of music is perfect for Nmixx. At the same time it's unique, unlike anyone else, allowing them to demonstrate the beauty of vocals - and capable of appealing to a wide audience.
It seems like sullyoon has become more comfortable with her dice high note since she sang it live on stage for the first time since dice era, nmixx truly are always improving
Run for roses live version from their concert? was actually more beautiful for me than the official record. They manage to make it sound so raw and passionate without being shakey or sounding bad. I think it's sad that live singing is no longer any standard, because if it was, we'd see more idols who can sing like the girls in Nmixx

even though i completely disagree that their music quality has been inconsistent (I genuinely love all of their songs) they definitely haven't had their big break yet and they ARE the standard for kpop 👑
been a fan of girl groups since 2nd gen and i dare say they are the most talented and well rounded as a group, not a single filler member. each of them are there for a purpose, even bae who's often get called the weakest had improved tremendously and she's shining so much more lately. they can dance the most intense choreo while singing the toughest vocals and still deliver flawlessly, that itself is incredibly rare because for most it's either sacrificing vocals to give difficult choreo or vice versa. truly a one in a lifetime kinda group
idk, i love 2nd gen but there were plenty filler members, in SNSD i would say sunny, sooyoung yoona and yuri were fillers, if we are counting dancing as not being fillers (since this video was about singing), i would say taeyeon, tiffany, seohyun and hyoyeon(Only because of the dancing and the dance breaks in the songs) were impertative. No hate to the other girls i love them , but talentwise i wouldnt say they contributed much.

One has to have a more diverse music taste of multiple unrelated genres (unlike the general kpop stan who maybe listens to mainstream pop, r&b, hip-hop besides k-pop) to truly appreciate nmixx’s music. they literally never had bad music

It’s difficult to come by a girl group like NMIXX. They’re one of a kind and JYP is truly so lucky to have found these girls and form a group like NMIXX. I think NMIXX is having a difficult time competing with other groups (popularity-wise) is because they don’t sound mainstream. These girls are so passionate for their music that you genuinely see them enjoy performing with the concept that they have, albeit difficult for the mainstream media to comprehend. It’ll be a stroke of luck if any other companies are able to form a group as holistic and talented like NMIXX. So proud to stan groups like NMIXX (and Stray Kids) ❤️
As i am watching this video NMIXX just won their 4th show win for DASH, i'm happy for them and i like them because of their talent. i'm one of those people who watched at their debut of "O.o" then said what the heck was that but as i listen to it it grows on me, i think NMIXX and their songs are just misunderstood and some people did'nt give their music a chance to grow on them, they are underrated and their songs are really great especially those mellow ones like "The Moment" "Kiss" and "My Gosh". I hope more wins and success for them in the future, just give them a chance...
To say that Nmixx's music isn't good enough is to fall into the game of real quality VS just being popular. And that's the worst thing about Kpop, it doesn't really matter if your song is good or bad, it matters that it is popular and trending on the networks, and from there it gains immunity to even being criticized. And that is very tricky. New jeans post Ditto did not release anything that special, but in the press and networks it seemed that they had reinvented the history of music. And unlike G-Idle, who had a glorious year, it seems like they didn't do anything very relevant. Let's face the narrative, this is about being popular because being good doesn't even seem to be relevant to the general public. NMIXX is really challenging 4-5th gen Kpop survival show, will the contestants cover their songs (and AESPA too), that’s the amazing thing abt NMIXX. I love their concept!!!
my ult bias is bae and it started from when i found her vocal colour in tank super interesting and fun to listen to. so seeing her live vocals in their stage practices and learning that shes still the relatively weakest vocalist in nmixx is crazy to me given how talented she is in general, it just goes to show the extent to which nmixx really shines at nearly every facet (i pray jyp learns how to utilize their rapline 🙏)
I was literally thinking about this a few days ago. I've been listening to their album nonstop so... But I was saying that if Jiwoo and Bae are the "weakest links" in NMIXX then what the heck do we say for other groups??? Bae and Jiwoo honestly have my favourite voices in NMIXX. And Kyujin and Sullyoon are honestly the perfect bridges between the sub Vocalists and main Vocalists. Lily and Haewon are just crazy honestly. Those two are scary and I can't wait to see what they do as time goes on.
Bae also seems to have a good understanding of phrasing compared to Kyujin and Sullyoon. Some people forget to mention that. She has good interpretation.
And the fact that kyujin is a main dancer so incomparison to other she always needs to dance more stringer and energetic( ofcourse all of them are magnificent dancers) but still beacuse of her position she has to dance the hardest and can never compromise even if she has to sing live !!! But dang this girl here lwaves me in ahock every time !! She dances like a monster but still has the most stable,calm voice !! And she's just 17 !!!!!! Are these girls even real !!!!!!😭
It says a lot that I haven't seen a single classically trained vocal trainer say anything bad about the NMIXX girls and their skills. Their talents really stand out and korean netizens appreciate this.
I've always liked experimental music, and Nmixx has been given that since the beginning and i will continue on to support them. I know that music is subjective, but the fact that people love and go crazy over groups that cannot sing or dance properly it's baffling.
As an Nswer, I really love songs like Tank and O.O and consider them truly great. However, not many people in the general public, like myself, listen to everything from the 20's big band swing to the 60s' UK Progressive rock and modern EDM. It would have been better if they first immersed themselves in the mainstream to build a large fandom and then led that fandom into new musical experiences, where JYPE top management and producers seemed to target to move, but they failed to do so. While JYPE excels at finding and properly training talented individuals, I think they are not doing well in marketing these people as cultural products. There seems to be no strategy or tactics in promoting these shiny gems. But what can I do? I will continue to support these six friends with great talent, ability, and potential until the end. I hope this mini-album will be a commercial success. Fly higher, my stan!

i hadnt given much attention to nmixx as i wasnt much of a fan of their title tracks but that changed after seeing that one live performance of the high part in dice and i suddenly became a fan. that song actually became part of my spotify wrapped hahah. run for roses absolutely secured them as a group to follow i was just so impressed by their vocal skill that is matched by their dance and performance. while i love other grouls im often left a little disappointed by their vocals and rely on their performance, songs and personalities to keep me engaged. nmixx seems to have it all.
Literally the only group ive seen doing stage practices and they song just like the studio version fully live. While I don't think dash will be their "anti-fragile" i think it is still a step closer.

Even if dash wont came out as good this comeback have somethjng different from all of the other. The two prereleases where very liked by the general public (especially rfr) the promotion were on point, the song on the album all sounds very good from the snippet and people are finally acknowledging their talent.

I agree. from the beginning, JYPE has promoted then as super rookies, aces, and vocal monsters. Their debut teaser had a few million views before they even debuted! But people fail to see talent behind unique and unorthodox music tracks, like NCT 127. Nmixx, after 2 years, continued to showcase their unrivaled skill as an entire group. XG isn't kpop, but because they're under the same idol system, they deserve a mention. While Nmixx serves the vocals, XG are legendary dancers. Their synchronization and grasp of modern dance is insane, and not enough people realize it because of their music and sort of poor promotion. They have good singers and godlike rappers as well, truly another ace group.
Después de stanear a NMIXX no pude volver a stanear a otros grupos femeninos, siempre tengo en mente todo el talento, pasión y esfuerzo que demuestran cada día, incluso si no me gustan todas sus canciones (no me gustan las cosas cute en general o muy esporádicamente), disfruto muchísimo de sus stage practice, de sus presentaciones en It's Live, de sus highlight medley a capella y de todo el contenido en vivo que hacen. Yo puedo entender que a algunos fans del kpop no les guste la música de NMIXX, lo que no entiendo ni tolero es que visiten los videos del grupo solo para tirar hate, muchos se camuflan como "fans" o como personas "preocupadas" por el grupo cuando solo van con intención de j0der. Están tan obsesionados con que el grupo es un "fracaso", no sé si es por malicia o simplemente porque están tan frustrados con sus propias vidas que tratan de descargarse con el grupo, la verdad como dice mi madre, cansan y no llenan. A veces creo que muchos oyentes del kpop tienen algo similar a una "estupidez colectiva", que les impide disfrutar de la música y tener criterio propio, son prejuiciosos y solo van y critican a NMIXX porque está de moda tirar hate al grupo y a todos los grupos de la empresa.
Comparto tu sentir, para mi también fue un antes y un después de conocer a estas chicas, todos pueden cantar en un estudio, pero muy pocos lo hacen en un escenario. Ahora donde más importa el baile y que tan sexys se ven quedo atrás la esencia de un cantante y que es CANTAR. La tonta idea de que "pobres chicas cantar y bailar las cansa o están cuidando sus voces" se está apoderando del kpop NMIXX vino a demostrarme lo contrario 😊
I think Itzy is growing a bit. Especially with this last release where they had to pick up the slack since Lia was out on hiatus, and their songs were more vocally demanding.
@@daniej125 I mean to have the same vocal skill NMIXX (the least developed vocalist at least) has they should have a 1 year or 6 month hiatus and use that time to do vocal lessons. Haewon, Sullyoon, Kyujin, Bae, Jiwoo, and Lily's skill wasn't built overnight, they had to earn it for years. I think maybe JYPE after itzy had been continually improving their training system (excluding survival shows) so groups like Xdinaty Heroes and NMIXX have strong vocalist.

disagree with their songs not being ‘good enough’. they released bside of the year with roller coaster last year and it’s easily one of the best tracks i’ve ever heard. if newjeans or any popular 4th gen gg released it, im sure it would’ve been everywhere, with a pak and at no 1. the same goes for a lot of their songs. a lot of 4th gen songs that suck imo only do good because they’re from [redacted] group. it won’t matter if nmixx released eta, after like or tomboy even? i will say their songs have improved drastically although i’ve loved every release so far. i’ll never understand why ppl don’t like them much

Yeah it's crazy all of the members of NMIXX all have amazing vocals and they perform exceptionally well on stage! NMIXX for me are the best when it comes to live singing and performing at the same time!
NMIXX debut right before covid which hurt their momentum. Losing a member further affected them. They are now showing they have the talent no other group has.
Look there is no musuc artist that stays in the top spot forever. And with that said. Different people like different styles of music. I like a wide variety of music. And with nmixx I listen to my Playlist of theirs at least once a week. You see at my work I get to listen to music the whole time for 8 hours so I'll click on a Playlist of mine and listen to it through. And my nmixx Playlist includes every song they ever made. Nmixx has great talent. And I think many of their songs are amazing! So yeah they get a lot of play from me!
I've said it once and I'll say it again. If NMIXX had the discography of almost any other 4th gen girl group, they would be dominating the industry rn Either way, I'm still proud of them as an nswer and can't wait for the new album :)
Listen I am not going to sit here and act like I have been following this group from the beginning. I first saw NMIXX on a local NYC morning show last year where they performed Love Me Like This. They impressed me so much that I went down the UA-cam rabbit hole of all of their music and have been a fan ever since. I don't understand why people were hating on them in the beginning. Their sound wasn't bad it's just different. That said I am very impressed by their most recent comeback and immediately added the album to my playlist. My favorite so far is Run for Roses.

The one part that really got my attention to this group was in their roller coaster stage practice video. During the first chorus when Sullyoon jumped and she still sounded so stable, I had to replay that part again and again, which probably affected my algorithm and my feed has been filled with their performances ever since.

Dance wise they are both good (Natty and Julie on fire) but as a group Nmixx wins considering none of them are bad dancer and also synchronization. Vocal wise it’s clear, Belle is more close to Sullyoon than Haely. Lastly the most important thing that made people think they are that talented is their stability while dancing hard choreos. And in this area, their only competition is Mamamoo

they really have been constantly improving! it's one of the things I've noticed ever since their debut.
I feel this kinda unfair. Unfortunately, NMIXX's style and artistic concept are not commercial as other groups', but that has an inmense value and that's why i think they are the best GG of their generation. I would love them to be more recognized, but it would be a shame to lose that essence for more recognition. It's like indie music: there are groups with a LOT of success, but others that have a more unique and artistic side, style, talent. Nmixx has showed the world who are the most talented of the 4th gen. That's enough for me, so proud of them.

I do think that their style and concept make them shine so much, many commercial songs would not make their talent shine as much. JYPE knew that and it is probably why they promoted their performances with covers, those covers show how talented they are but their songs? Really make them shine.

I'd make a small correction. They don't have "bad" songs , they simply have a completely different artistic approach compared to the groups you mentioned as popular. They have FAR more artistry in their projects than 99% of K-Pop groups which doesn't match GP musical taste and dare I say artistic intelligence. But to each their own.

My hope for NMIXX at this point is for them to go the route of NCT 127, building a large dedicated fanbase despite the hate train and not changing themselves if they dont want to.

I also initially found their early releases disappointing, but I now realize that those songs have been shaping their foundational artist skills and personalities.
Rather than saying nmixx's music isn't "good enough" I would say they're not mainstream enough, I'm completely against the idea of defining how good a song is based on how much popularity it has like the infamous "chart fans". Nowadays the most important thing for a song to hit big is Tik Tok but this can only happen if the song has that "it factor" that tiktok users enjoy but even so is risky cause many people won't bother listening to the full song except for that one part, which is also why songs are getting shorter. I can name plenty of groups who have an incredible discography but couldn't become bigger cause they didn't have that kind of luck so it's really never about the music and especially in nmixx's case because most of their songs don't sound like the others.
I'm a 2nd gen stan (Pink PANDA) and it's a nightmare to comeback to kpop and discover that singing live is almost dead in the industry. You rarely find live performances and when you do it's usually not good. It makes me wonder why some of them were allowed to debut. BUT NMIXX CHANGED THE GAME. Some of their songs actually blend well with my 2nd gen playlist. It' been a real treat for us who prefer vocal groups. Support NMIXX Let's go!

That passion really came through during the JYPN days. I watched those videos and pondered why they seemed so much better than most other pre-debut member showcases prior. I came to the conclusion that they seemed truly confident, lacking in timidness. And it felt sincere, not just the “I’m the best” fake braggadocio that is so common in personality-/image-driven pop music.
@@dafunkk12 I remember seeing a 2022 video that pitied NMIXX's lack of critical success because, like ANOF said, these girls obviously LOVE performing, even shy Sullyoon, and it shows in their live stages -- you don't always see that passion in other groups even if those groups put effort into giving a good show.

I feel like, because NMIXX is so talented, that JYPE and Squad division dare enough to play part with more artistry and exclusive songs rather than general commercial songs like many of others. Like they said, O.O was more of a teaser, to be dare enough to make their debut like this, I'm sure the division has their believe they wont fail or at least in the future through their journey. It feels like everytime they comeback, except for Love Me Like This, is them develop one after another in artistry. Squad is giving us a journey, like JYP said, he doesnt like just a one time wonder song but prefer artistry of songs that can be long lasting tho truthfully NMIXX doesnt have any legend-long-lasting song yet. If its not NMIXX, I dont think any of the other groups can even cover their song to be at their level of perfection at those songs, and it might even sound funny or worst, I stand my ground.

I don't think any other Korean girl group *_could_* cover NMIXX's songs even if they wanted to because the talent just is not there to pull it off, except for more mainstream stuff like "Love Me Like This" and "Party O'Clock".
NMIXX, especially Lily and Haewon, have the vocal chops to pull off any style they want (within reason), so why not take advantage of that by mashing sh!t together? The girls themselves seem to enjoy the challenge.

And the funny part is there is only one performance that cover nmixx song (LMLT), and its not from a debuted group but from A2K show. I don't remember the name of the group but it consisted of KG, Kaylee, and one other member that i also forget her name (sorry). It's only 3-person group covering a song from 6-person group so they cut some parts to make it managable, and obviously the result isn't perfect but they still delivered a great performance considering they were just participants of the show, not fully a JYPe trainees yet. And i think today's VCHA will able to perform LMLT well.

Run for roses live version from their concert? was actually more beautiful for me than the official record. They manage to make it sound so raw and passionate without being shakey or sounding bad. I think it's sad that live singing is no longer any standard, because if it was, we'd see more idols who can sing like the girls in Nmixx

been a fan of girl groups since 2nd gen and i dare say they are the most talented and well rounded as a group, not a single filler member. each of them are there for a purpose, even bae who's often get called the weakest had improved tremendously and she's shining so much more lately. they can dance the most intense choreo while singing the toughest vocals and still deliver flawlessly, that itself is incredibly rare because for most it's either sacrificing vocals to give difficult choreo or vice versa. truly a one in a lifetime kinda group
idk, i love 2nd gen but there were plenty filler members, in SNSD i would say sunny, sooyoung yoona and yuri were fillers, if we are counting dancing as not being fillers (since this video was about singing), i would say taeyeon, tiffany, seohyun and hyoyeon(Only because of the dancing and the dance breaks in the songs) were impertative. No hate to the other girls i love them , but talentwise i wouldnt say they contributed much.

It’s difficult to come by a girl group like NMIXX. They’re one of a kind and JYP is truly so lucky to have found these girls and form a group like NMIXX. I think NMIXX is having a difficult time competing with other groups (popularity-wise) is because they don’t sound mainstream. These girls are so passionate for their music that you genuinely see them enjoy performing with the concept that they have, albeit difficult for the mainstream media to comprehend. It’ll be a stroke of luck if any other companies are able to form a group as holistic and talented like NMIXX. So proud to stan groups like NMIXX (and Stray Kids) ❤️

As i am watching this video NMIXX just won their 4th show win for DASH, i'm happy for them and i like them because of their talent. i'm one of those people who watched at their debut of "O.o" then said what the heck was that but as i listen to it it grows on me, i think NMIXX and their songs are just misunderstood and some people did'nt give their music a chance to grow on them, they are underrated and their songs are really great especially those mellow ones like "The Moment" "Kiss" and "My Gosh". I hope more wins and success for them in the future, just give them a chance...
To say that Nmixx's music isn't good enough is to fall into the game of real quality VS just being popular. And that's the worst thing about Kpop, it doesn't really matter if your song is good or bad, it matters that it is popular and trending on the networks, and from there it gains immunity to even being criticized. And that is very tricky. New jeans post Ditto did not release anything that special, but in the press and networks it seemed that they had reinvented the history of music. And unlike G-Idle, who had a glorious year, it seems like they didn't do anything very relevant. Let's face the narrative, this is about being popular because being good doesn't even seem to be relevant to the general public. NMIXX is really challenging 4-5th gen Kpop survival show, will the contestants cover their songs (and AESPA too), that’s the amazing thing abt NMIXX. I love their concept!!!
my ult bias is bae and it started from when i found her vocal colour in tank super interesting and fun to listen to. so seeing her live vocals in their stage practices and learning that shes still the relatively weakest vocalist in nmixx is crazy to me given how talented she is in general, it just goes to show the extent to which nmixx really shines at nearly every facet (i pray jyp learns how to utilize their rapline 🙏)

I was literally thinking about this a few days ago. I've been listening to their album nonstop so... But I was saying that if Jiwoo and Bae are the "weakest links" in NMIXX then what the heck do we say for other groups??? Bae and Jiwoo honestly have my favourite voices in NMIXX. And Kyujin and Sullyoon are honestly the perfect bridges between the sub Vocalists and main Vocalists. Lily and Haewon are just crazy honestly. Those two are scary and I can't wait to see what they do as time goes on.

Bae also seems to have a good understanding of phrasing compared to Kyujin and Sullyoon. Some people forget to mention that. She has good interpretation.

I've always liked experimental music, and Nmixx has been given that since the beginning and i will continue on to support them.
I know that music is subjective, but the fact that people love and go crazy over groups that cannot sing or dance properly it's baffling.
As an Nswer, I really love songs like Tank and O.O and consider them truly great. However, not many people in the general public, like myself, listen to everything from the 20's big band swing to the 60s' UK Progressive rock and modern EDM.
It would have been better if they first immersed themselves in the mainstream to build a large fandom and then led that fandom into new musical experiences, where JYPE top management and producers seemed to target to move, but they failed to do so. While JYPE excels at finding and properly training talented individuals, I think they are not doing well in marketing these people as cultural products. There seems to be no strategy or tactics in promoting these shiny gems. But what can I do? I will continue to support these six friends with great talent, ability, and potential until the end. I hope this mini-album will be a commercial success. Fly higher, my stan!

Nmixx is like a really advanced tool that jyp dont know how to use... Their potential is so great that jyp still dont know what to do with it
i hadnt given much attention to nmixx as i wasnt much of a fan of their title tracks but that changed after seeing that one live performance of the high part in dice and i suddenly became a fan. that song actually became part of my spotify wrapped hahah. run for roses absolutely secured them as a group to follow i was just so impressed by their vocal skill that is matched by their dance and performance. while i love other grouls im often left a little disappointed by their vocals and rely on their performance, songs and personalities to keep me engaged. nmixx seems to have it all.
You can’t really just say “their music is worse than newjeans, ive, idle”… art is completely subjective and popularity doesn’t just equal quality

Even if dash wont came out as good this comeback have somethjng different from all of the other. The two prereleases where very liked by the general public (especially rfr) the promotion were on point, the song on the album all sounds very good from the snippet and people are finally acknowledging their talent.

I agree. from the beginning, JYPE has promoted then as super rookies, aces, and vocal monsters. Their debut teaser had a few million views before they even debuted! But people fail to see talent behind unique and unorthodox music tracks, like NCT 127. Nmixx, after 2 years, continued to showcase their unrivaled skill as an entire group.
XG isn't kpop, but because they're under the same idol system, they deserve a mention. While Nmixx serves the vocals, XG are legendary dancers. Their synchronization and grasp of modern dance is insane, and not enough people realize it because of their music and sort of poor promotion. They have good singers and godlike rappers as well, truly another ace group.

Después de stanear a NMIXX no pude volver a stanear a otros grupos femeninos, siempre tengo en mente todo el talento, pasión y esfuerzo que demuestran cada día, incluso si no me gustan todas sus canciones (no me gustan las cosas cute en general o muy esporádicamente), disfruto muchísimo de sus stage practice, de sus presentaciones en It's Live, de sus highlight medley a capella y de todo el contenido en vivo que hacen. Yo puedo entender que a algunos fans del kpop no les guste la música de NMIXX, lo que no entiendo ni tolero es que visiten los videos del grupo solo para tirar hate, muchos se camuflan como "fans" o como personas "preocupadas" por el grupo cuando solo van con intención de j0der. Están tan obsesionados con que el grupo es un "fracaso", no sé si es por malicia o simplemente porque están tan frustrados con sus propias vidas que tratan de descargarse con el grupo, la verdad como dice mi madre, cansan y no llenan.
A veces creo que muchos oyentes del kpop tienen algo similar a una "estupidez colectiva", que les impide disfrutar de la música y tener criterio propio, son prejuiciosos y solo van y critican a NMIXX porque está de moda tirar hate al grupo y a todos los grupos de la empresa.
Comparto tu sentir, para mi también fue un antes y un después de conocer a estas chicas, todos pueden cantar en un estudio, pero muy pocos lo hacen en un escenario. Ahora donde más importa el baile y que tan sexys se ven quedo atrás la esencia de un cantante y que es CANTAR. La tonta idea de que "pobres chicas cantar y bailar las cansa o están cuidando sus voces" se está apoderando del kpop NMIXX vino a demostrarme lo contrario 😊

I think Itzy is growing a bit. Especially with this last release where they had to pick up the slack since Lia was out on hiatus, and their songs were more vocally demanding.
@@daniej125 I mean to have the same vocal skill NMIXX (the least developed vocalist at least) has they should have a 1 year or 6 month hiatus and use that time to do vocal lessons. Haewon, Sullyoon, Kyujin, Bae, Jiwoo, and Lily's skill wasn't built overnight, they had to earn it for years.
I think maybe JYPE after itzy had been continually improving their training system (excluding survival shows) so groups like Xdinaty Heroes and NMIXX have strong vocalist.

disagree with their songs not being ‘good enough’. they released bside of the year with roller coaster last year and it’s easily one of the best tracks i’ve ever heard. if newjeans or any popular 4th gen gg released it, im sure it would’ve been everywhere, with a pak and at no 1. the same goes for a lot of their songs. a lot of 4th gen songs that suck imo only do good because they’re from [redacted] group. it won’t matter if nmixx released eta, after like or tomboy even? i will say their songs have improved drastically although i’ve loved every release so far. i’ll never understand why ppl don’t like them much

NMIXX debut right before covid which hurt their momentum. Losing a member further affected them. They are now showing they have the talent no other group has.
Look there is no musuc artist that stays in the top spot forever. And with that said. Different people like different styles of music. I like a wide variety of music. And with nmixx I listen to my Playlist of theirs at least once a week. You see at my work I get to listen to music the whole time for 8 hours so I'll click on a Playlist of mine and listen to it through. And my nmixx Playlist includes every song they ever made. Nmixx has great talent. And I think many of their songs are amazing! So yeah they get a lot of play from me!

Listen I am not going to sit here and act like I have been following this group from the beginning. I first saw NMIXX on a local NYC morning show last year where they performed Love Me Like This. They impressed me so much that I went down the UA-cam rabbit hole of all of their music and have been a fan ever since. I don't understand why people were hating on them in the beginning. Their sound wasn't bad it's just different.
That said I am very impressed by their most recent comeback and immediately added the album to my playlist. My favorite so far is Run for Roses.
