The Torino looks solid from the bottom side. Pontiac, Dodge, AMC and Ford - you don't discriminate. If it burns gas and makes noise, the more the merrier!
JD is so blessed to have his dad and granddad to learn from, 3 generations just awesome. I know it was avout the Torino, but the GT37 kept me distracted. Thanks for the video.
Damn! Haven't seen a Torino since the late '70's and they were scarce even at that time. Pretty solid car for being sitting in a field basically. The Magnums really suit that car. Kudos to JD for getting right in there lending a hand in the wrenching dept. Damn cool to see him givin er alongside Pops and Grandpa!!
I am more of a GM or MOPAR guy but... The 70 Torino GT has always been one of my favorite body Style. Its just perfect in almost every way. Thanks for the video and good lock with it. Regards from Ody Slim
I remember my friend wanting to mount the axle under the spring for more height. Rather than swapping axles or welding on new perches, he wanted to flip it. I said "so you wanna go really fast in reverse?", I got that blank Homer Simpson look.
Pretty cool seeing your dad ,JD and yourself working on the car. Car looks good cant looking forward to see what your dad does with it. Also cant wait to see JD hanging out with his car at a cruise night.
you have a awsome dad to hang out with great to work on cars with him brings back memories of my dad and good time we used to have make every monent count they are gone before you knowe it my freind another great video bro ! !
One of my favorite cars. I have a built 429 that I've spent two years on and a 5 speed just waiting til I can find a decent Torino. They're such underrated muscle cars.
A friend of mine had one of those when we were growing up, yellow with a red lazer stripe '70 GT. There were several of them in the parking lot when I was in high school. My ex brother in law had a green and black '71 Torino Cobra. Beautiful cars!
I'm kinda psyched to see what comes of the Rolled Runner.... I'm wondering if the tortion bar suspension is like a super main issue with that.... I had trouble with the 2 Mopar cars I've worked on. Might wanna just get some old tubes moly pipe. And make a front frame on it. .in the long run
Nothing crap about Ryobi! Its good stuff for when you can't afford the big names. That Torino is cool. The broken suspension stance was awesome... Haha
Really enjoy your channel. I would prefer to watch videos like yours any day instead of over produced car show/Info commercial type car shows. Keep'em coming. Thx.
That rear leaf spring setup looks just like a 64 and older full size Ford. They went to coil spring on the full size cars in 65 but it looks like the smaller cars didn't change much. Really like how the leaf spring bushings just push in by hand.
We had a 71 Torino 500 when I was a kid. In less than 4 years the floorboards were rusted out......pull up the carpet there's the road. 😂😂😂 Ours had the spoiler in the back also. Those are more rare than the ones without.
My dad has a 1970 Torino sitting in his driveway. Im hoping to get it drivable for him even though I don't know a thing about fixing up cars! Its been his dream to get it working and he ended up getting cancer a few months back, so now im gonna try and make his dream a reality!
Man that Torino looks amazing I've been looking for a 69 GT as a project car because of how much I like them, you guys really seem to have lucked out here
I have a 1970 ford Torino SCJ that I am restoring after sitting 40 years..should I upgrade the suspension…or go stock? Everything needs to be replaced anyway..love the content
My wife sold her 70gt six months ago because we had to move house and she still cry’s sometimes. She loved that car but it was pretty rough especially under the dash.

I'm assuming this is your dad's project not yours? I can see the Apple didn't fall far from the tree. LOL. Got lots of nice vehicles around the house.. I can imagine your son will follow suit..
haha, reminds me of one time working at the neighbors. saw a big ugly old box truck drive by sitting kinda cockeyed, on the way home i stopped and there was 7-8 chunks of leaves sitting on the road. guy went over the railroad tracks and his leaf spring shattered. free knife material
there is an orange 429 4 speed super cobra jet drag pac car sitting a few miles from me .. it`s been behind a house since 1986 when the owner died . the widow will not sell it ,,
General rule of thumb. If you find something that has touched the earth for over a decade, it will be making a deposit for land rental. A deposit of minerals that is. It WILL become one with its initial creator, eventually. Thus, the springs were first on the list.

@@PoleBarnGarage I agree older ones are cooler though
Aaaaaaamen!
Love the 3 generations all working together, sharing their love for old cars!

Im havin the same problem Bud. That Pontiac is sweet!

That Torino is a sweet ride. Just needs a little attention. Your dad's car is pretty sharp to. Glad to see family working together!
Awesome. You are fortunate to have a father who enjoys cars like this and your son is lucky to have the best dad ever and an awesome grandfather.
Extremely lucky all around
That Torino is a cool ride definitely gotta save that one.
6 months max it'll be done

wonderful memories you’re making. I came home from the hospital after being born in 1969 Torino with the 428 cobra jet.
Love your dad's Torino. I owned 3 a 68- with a 390. 72 with a 351 c , and a 75 with a 400 m
I've had 2 of those 1970's . I had to replace the springs on both of them. Great job guys.
torque specs.. as hard as i can push/ as tight as it would go

I love these old early 70s Torinos, my brother had one when I was kid, sure was a beauty.
Looks like a project car as well. So. Keep us up on your dad’s car. Thank you for sharing!
Same wheels I have on my 1971 Torino and 1970 Ranchero. Your dad has good taste
Those are awesome wheels
I tried to rescue one of these here in Kansas.. but the guy isn't ready to let it go after 20+ years of sitting.. I'll wait it out
one of the most beautiful body styles ever. take your time and give it the love it deserves. Will be watching from NJ.
It'll be a garage restoration. No nut and bolt stuff, but functional

You're welcome, you may resume living now
Come on over to KY. Gotta pull the one out of the 57 to replace the input shaft seal that's leaving puddles on the shop floor.
The alge rhythm showed you to me. Earned immediate sub. Love the Pontiacs and the Amc is super cool. Your dad's rides are mint.

That gt-37 is sweet 👍 love that car . my favorite of pack. Lol.
The shape of that car brings back memories of my first husband’s vehicle. Wow.
Nice looking Ford. I just did shackles and one leaf in a Ford Ranger. So much rust. Not much fun. Thanks for the video 👍
compressor and air speed wrench. My Dad had one in the 70's.
That answers the question I asked about the Blazer, whether it was original or not.
I love the Torino. It is such a mean-looking car.
That rear leaf spring setup looks just like a 64 and older full size Ford. They went to coil spring on the full size cars in 65 but it looks like the smaller cars didn't change much. Really like how the leaf spring bushings just push in by hand.

No lol
I got the same steering wheel in my 1976 Xc ford falcon in Australia

Dude what kind of wheel did y'all put on the Torino (11:53)?
I’m wondering the same thing I sure hope’s he responds to this

American racing Magnum 500. Aluminum version of the factory wheel
That front one they put on was a GT500 the other wheel looks like one from a Ford ranger
I’ve always liked the 70 Torino fastback a friend had one in high school with the 428 CJ
Solid Torino. I hope to see more of it.
You will!
Check the drivers side front subframe right by the power steering ram… they love to rot out there. I’ve had a couple of those.

What about the 69 Mustang? One of my favorites.
I'll get to it, but I have a few projects in front of it.

The grille is 1971. 1970 Torino GT had 3 “gills “ on the dogleg of the rear quarter.
Yes the grill has been changed, it's probably bumped something in the last 52 years. Also, it's not a real GT
Actually 5 chrome pieces...
Just gave a 60 Ranchero GT 351W A/C car
Central California watching.
69
