Self amalgamating rubber tape would fix that hose until you can get a replacement. Great stuff I always carry a big roll. Oh and btw you are great vloggers. You are both natural unassuming and easy to watch the videos are great 👍 keep them coming
We will definitely stock up on a roll! Handy stuff to have aboard🙌🏼 Thank you so much for this lovely comment. It certainly brought a smile to our faces. Means a lot that you enjoy our episodes and that we come across well 🙌🏼🥰
That’s what we thought at first, but they send out an email to warn you you’ve violated the term or service🤔 We took a few nasty waves over the bow through Pointe du Raz and there was salt water around the connection when we did check😬 It’s actually worked fine since… so really not sure what happened
I seem to remember Alluring Arctic doing a video about a fix for the receiver cable on Starlink, might be worth a look through their playlist, from about beginning of year.
@@hoperegenesis8553 A backup is always a good thing… We did a video a while back showing the autopilot instal we did, might give you some ideas🤔 Not long now!!
Gt. video as usual!! Been following Indi since day one👍 just a couple of tips from an old salt😂 (1) Don’t go about the boat in barefoot while at sea, there are so many things on deck that can give you a nasty bite😂! Or break a toe etc, the last thing you need is a crew member who can only hobble about when you have some super important job that needs doing. (2) Sort out a proper watch system , certainly for the silent hours, when you are off watch get your head down properly, cat napping on a cockpit bench is not a good idea and in the long run just makes you more tired and grumpy 😂. If it were me I think I would have tried a bit of a repair on the exhaust pipe, good old gaffer/masking tape would probably have reduced the flow to a drip. Just a personal thing….. I always got rid of the courtesy flags after 12 miles!!! Nuff said and glad you both are safe and well. Looking forward to the next instalment 👍 regards from deepest Dorset.
Ah thanks so much for watching along and for all the support🙌🏼 Some great tips here and some we should definitely be following😬 We’re still struggling to actually get sleep whilst off watch, mainly when the engine is on as we don’t trust it and so when it makes ANY different sound, we are on edge🥲 Still lots to learn, so appreciate the comments🙏🏼
When your exhaust is leaking water it's is also leaking exhaust gas, not good in a boat, if you sleep down below with the wash boards in, so carry some bicycle inner tubes and cable ties, cut the tube so it's a long length, bandage the pipe , stretching it and use a couple of cable ties to hold it in place, Next your star link, if you have the roaming like me, then when you are about 20mile of shore it will stop, you can still go on line using the app and opt in to priorate data and pay per Gig, Or I have found mine get upset when the boat rolls to much ,the hub over heats and stops working, I'm going to mod mine as on UA-cam to keep it flat. And last I,m over wintering in the south of France,
Yes that’s a very good point, it’s a dangerous situation when you think about it like that… Definitely will be looking for some inner tube to carry incase it happens again (replaced the pipe now). Yes we thought the Starlink might just have been unhappy about us being offshore, but we received no warning email (as is typical)… The fault code was somewhere between then the dishy and the router, so definitely a cable issue and once we were in warmer Gijón, it just started working again! So weird. Thanks so much for watching, more to come🙌🏼
Brilliant episode. Subscribed.
More good experience under your belts. Everyday will bring more. Looking good.
Thanks so much🙏🏼 You’re not wrong, we learn something new every time we leave the dock! Plenty still to come

Biscay busters🙌🏼😂 We liked that!! Thank you so much, onwards we go!
Congratulations! Fantastic to see you both enjoying the journey.
Lauren - tried Dramamine for motion sickness?
Thank you so much for following our journey!🙌🏼😀 ooo no I haven’t tried that one! Will keep a look out for it. Thank you for the tip!
Another great video. Thanks for sharing the journey.
Thanks so much for watching🙌🏼🙌🏼
Depending of the starlink contract you have they might have just cut you off when you are using it when moving

Saw you give a talk at the SBS! You are living my dream... :)
Ah that’s amazing! We had such a great time at the show☺️ That’s so much for following along!!
Well done! Are you using a self steering system?
Thanks so much!! We are using raymarine linear drive autopilot, but would be nice to have a hydrovane one day🤞🏼
Thanks! I have a small wheel - canoe stern and a Fleming wind vane… but want a back up auto pilot. I’ll take a look. We’re off next April. Rob Fi

@@SailingIndiana awesome ! We’ll try and find it. Thx
Great video guys as always ❤ Lauren I'm with you on the ginger beer 🍺
Just reminded us to get gaffer tape for any leaks 👍
Thank you so much! So glad you enjoyed it 🙌🏼 Ginger beer is honestly the most precious cargo on this boat! 😂
Always need a roll of gaffer tape!
Just curious, how many months are your videos delayed? It looks too cold to be summertime.
We are a little behind! This was back at the beginning of May! We are happy to report it got much warmer! ☺️

Why do you use the engine so much?
you should be flying the "Q" flag until you check in to the country.
Nope. France advise not to fly it and same with Galicia region of Spain.
