- We are a core group of 4 players based in the North East of England. We all love Horus Heresy gaming and want to promote the system aswell as the fantastic community we have in the area.

Great battle report. Watching as I'm in the process of building a Night Lords army myself.
I don't think that Deep Strike is totally dead, but if your opponent brings a Master of Signals, you will fail on a 50/50 roll. Or if they have a ton of Intercept, you will just get obliterated. You need to communicate with with the other player, but if you can pull off deep strike, it's almost back breaking for the other player. GW needs to tweak a few things to make Intercept still useful but not devastating and the master of signals maybe being 3+ and you succeed vs 5+ to succeed.

As an Iron Warriors player myself I'm loving the quad mortars with incendiary rounds (all the pinning!) and the Arquitor for dropping S11 pie plates all over the vehicles, Nuncio voxes all over the place to act as spotters (and for the sweet, sweet rerolls)

I am becoming a big fan of custom missions and the home/away game concept. Anything to add some extra flavour to kicking teeth in is a win to me!

Awsome settle report 👌 although I think the Night Fighting needed to be in place or the Iron Warriors would have completely annihilated the Knight Lords 2 turns

@@edanderson349 Im playing the Death Guard but painting them up as the Dusk Raiders! Im determined to make The Reaping a good RoW but outside of spamming Heavy Weapons Squads and then Tanks its rough not being able to move like everyone else

@@edanderson349 my first legion in HH was the Word Bearers, was a method to pay my Daemons in Heresy before DotR. Once my IW project is at its goal (or if I need a break) I'm going to redo that legion with a tunnel fighting theme only using stuff that would work in an Underworld archology (termites for troops, stuff that can teleport in, wallets and smaller fast tanks). If time ever allows of love to add a militia army as well #hardforheresy

Was rewatching the vat rep and I realized Max kept forgetting to roll the exoshock when he got pens with his laser rapiers... it's only on a6+ but extra pens are sneaky good

Where did you get those Upgrade Bits for your Night Lords? Got my own Bat Army and am always on the lookout for bits to make them spookier.
They are mostly from AoS skeleton/zombies or puppets war corpses. The skin is dried pva painted up!

I do agree tyrants need a boost. At least bs5 or twin linked on the missiles (or both i dont mind)

Hey gents. Loving the content. Me and my pals are playing our first 30k game next week. My 2 pals are gonna play and I'm gonna try and work the rules out. Do you have any tips or know of any "cheat sheets" to make the game any easier?
It's gonna be blood angels vs sons of horus. 2.5k. I have written both the lists. The lists are very similar. 1 leviathan each, 1 or 2 contemptors each and the rest infantry. Mal and abaddon and zephon and ralderon as hq.
No vehicles
We have experience of playing 7th ed (but it was during 7th ed)
Any advice would be most welcome.

oooh where to start:
- having some sort of token to have in your hand each phase to remind you to do reactions helps as well as having the quick sheet of them near you. infact just getting the pacing of the game down so your remembering the reactions that you can all do and when etc I think is the most important while having a fluid game (rather than worring on the minutia)
- first couple of games of 2.0 I actually wrote all the profiles and weapons in excell and had a cheat sheet like that printed out so it was all really concise
- tbh id consider playing 2k though since youve played 7th its no VASTLY different tbh its more remembering the quirks, its actually a really good size to play regardless of experience

Hey I spotted one rule you've accidentally carried over from 1st edition.
Jump packs do not run 3d6 in this edition. Only calvelry run 3d6.

I dont think you are allowed to moritat chain fire as part of reaction.
dunno, i think you can fire as a normal shooting phase as a reaction
