Most of the shots were taken on the truck, but you can tell which ones were not because they got some shake. I heard the new Canon HF G10 is a monster, and is less prone, or even totally resistant to shake. And yeah definitely, we had to take advantage of the weather. This is one of the few daylight trains that actually runs on a Sunday in Vermont.
good vidio,,some good catches,,i live in warterbury, right next to the tracks,,they just layed new welded track,,you never hear the trains now,and the house dont shake,,,lol,,,thanks for shering,,,
Alright, you have GOT to have some tricks up your sleeve because I've shot many a train running on the "wonderful" welded-rail that criss-crosses New England, and so far a considerable amount of my HG20 images have been murdered by trackside vibration! Nice to see that the VRS treated you well now that you're back up there, clear skies with the lighting on your side? How can one not go chasin'!
Track News: The Feds allotted monies for the VTR here and they have updated the tracks to heavier ribbon rail now and will continue on that side of the VTR at least for eventually getting an Amtrak train to run up and down to Burlington at some time in the future. They have also received two SD 70s from the FEC and has been indicated to replace some of the older 38s and 40s they have so the rails were needed for those anyway.. Ethanol (and slurry empties--dropping off at the end here where they will be filled to get back out on the rails once again) for sure on this run. Great stuff of the train we see everyday here in town of Pittsford and thanks.
If they were right-side up, they would slant away from the center of the road to the mast. (The signals on the right would slant / / / / /.) But see how the gates on the right slant \ \ \ \ ? That's an upside down gate. And also a reason the MUTCD now has gates striped | | | |.

Nice catch on 308! A Former Guilford Rail System GP40-2 sold to Vermont Railway
Yes, in fact, I saw them heading north on 450 at Cohoes the Friday beforehand!
Now, we all disapprove of Graffiti, but that face on the tank car @ 12:45 is quite artistic ...
Great video!
Jeep and Geeps made a nice shot as well.

Wow, they installed all four crossing gates upside-down. Now that takes some talent on the maintainer's part. *laughs* Great vid!

A nice day, some nice scenery and geeps: what more could you ask?

They go fast for a shortline. Explains why my Vermonter went so fast :P
Great video! Those are 450's tankers right?
I've never seen tank cars connected like that.
10:41= Those tracks need to be replaced. Still, the scenery is beautiful. New England is always beautiful in Summer.
