not strictly cancelled. Fincher really wanted to make Mank and Netflix let him. Either Fincher/Netflix didn't want Mindhunter made without Fincher (and since Fincher was busy with Mank) they let the cast out of their contracts and put the show on permanent hiatus. I could see a third season coming in many years mostly since they teased BTK from literally the beginning, but after that ya Mindhunter is probably dead.
@@LZircon Yes I was aware Mank would require a brief hiatus but did not expect a permanent shelving of Mindhunter(apparently due to high budget issues.)
It's not necessarily a cancellation. It's just shelved. Fincher said maybe things could change after some years, when the show garners even more popularity. Remember how Twin Peaks S03 happened? Hopefully we won't have to wait 25 years, but let's hope a rise in popularity will compel netflix to make a season 3 5-10 years later.
Literally the best directed show with an amazing story line and actors. I cannot believe it's going off netflix. Such a gem.

Too bad this show got cancelled after two seasons. This is one of Fincher's best works and it should be revisited again.
I don’t think they said it was cancelled, it was put on hold since the creators wanted to work on another project then they’d come back to it

From what i can read it technically wasn't cancelled, but "put on hold" doesn't sound too nice either. All we can do is hope right?
Eventhough it is cancelled or not, we still need to wait at least 5 years for season 3
It's a shame, this, True Detective and Fargo offer some of the most engrossing moments of cinematography I've ever seen, far better than most big screen releases.
Probably one of the best series of this decade. What a masterpiece. His soundtrack, his cinematography and his sound effects are freacking amazing.
This show is the biggest reason why I still have Netflix. Shame they are considering canceling it.
They *have* cancelled it. Netflix only cares about putting out new shows to tempt people to subscribe. Once you've signed up, they drop the show for another new one.
I’m fine with this cuz Fincher is giving us MANK and during awards season, Netflix gives us quality new releases
three of the strongest netflix originals: house of cards (end), the crown (2 season remaining), mindhunter...i'd really hope they at least make one more season because we haven't done yet with BTK and the aftermath of season 2
don't worry man, I'm sure Fincher's going to find time and HBO is truly going to pick it up, this show is such an underrated series

David Fincher's "Mindhunter" remains as one of my best netflix crime drama and still TV’s classiest guilty pleasure. If you love watching detective/cop/serial killer tv shows like this genre, then this is highly recommended for you.

This show was on another level of storytelling and many moments it was hard to watch because of how truly unsettling it was at times I don’t know it’s being canceled it’s a masterpiece

The thumbnail posted where you see agent ford and agent tench waiting was in S02E5 the episode where charles manson was interviewed about himself and his crime involvement. This was my favorite episode.

this channel is underrated
True Detective (S1) and Mindhunter, both are, without a doubt, some of the best modern police series. Its setting and the element of mistery, tension and uncanny terror are rarely seen today on TV. Without a doubt, they make the viewer want to be a detective too. Incredible work and excellent video.

The point of Wendy feeding the cat on her window sill and then one day noticing it wasn't taking the food anymore was referencing the fact that many serial killers start off killing small animals like alley cats ect. Further cementing that fear in the air that a serial killer could be your next door neighbor.

Edit: Although I do like the music choice for the video, I think it would’ve also be really cool to have all of the footage been played over one of the many songs from the 70’s/ 80’s that they used in the show. I.E. Right - David Bowie, Hell is For Children - Pat Benatar, et cetera.
