I ordered cheat sheets hard copies they sent me downloads I'm not able to download them I want the hard copies
Bought the cheat sheets, but there's no expo settings in them. Also, the aircraft settings are different. Cine mode.
Good tips mate. One thing I would say is even with the gimbal smoothness and speed settings increased and decreased respectively, I still find the point where the gimbal hits the end of its range of motion can be quite jarring when recording footage and pull the viewer out of the shot a bit. The way I get around it is to slowly let go of the wheel half a second or so before the gimbal hits the end of its range. Then the slow down to zero speed is more gradual and creates a more pleasing effect rather than a sudden stop.
That's some great advice! I'm going to update my drone settings accordingly. I'll keep the sport mode for when my drone needs to escape a flock of seagulls. It really helps get it back home in a hurry!
Is it just me or are the gimble setting counter intuative? Based on righty tighty - lefty loosey, one would think that a clockwise movement on the controller wheel would lower the gimble, but it goes up and vise versa. I don't see a setting to alter this. Surely I'm not the only one to think that DJI have got this wrong?

I really appreciate the time you have taken to explain these cinematic changes. Why? I have another drone. It’s a small HoverAir X1. when folded up it is the size of half a sandwich. It fits in my pocket. It doesn’t need my phone. I took it on vacation and got incredible results. But that is a flying camera…designed for last minute moments when as usual I want to be in FRONT of the camera with my wife instead of behind it and always not in the picture. Then comes in this drone…
I bought the DJI Mini 4 Pro for another reason…to take beautiful pictures and videos of scenic vistas…and sure some of us as we explore the world. But this drone is special. Too much so not to make sure all of the settings are “just right”. I have some variable ND and UV and other lenses coming…but I really do think this camera will complete my personal bag for filming from the air. Thanks again so much!

Great video. I'm a long-time subscriber. Thanks for the tips. What do you use for Normal and Sport? I know it's personal and that I use Sport Mode to get to my subject quickly and will seldom do any videoing unless done in Slow Mo. I use Imperial but realize the graph must be calculated to be the same for either so you don't need to convert Meters/Imperial...

Have you heard of the problems with waypoints if you make the curve too sharp. The drone starts to descend for you reason and could causes the drone to crash. Watched a few videos on it now

I think they ship them with these settings so they feel quick and responsive out of the box to a new pilot.
If someone is beyond the casual level, and really pushing for the best shots they'll be tweaking the gimbal and other settings anyways.

Hi Darren, love the vlogs,I have the DJI mini 4 Pro, not flown it yet, but just updated the latest firmware,then had a gap in the weather put the drone into the hover on N mode but on the RC2 it had P for P mode and the drone was very unstable, have you ever come across this ?.
You should have added for brake also, my break setting is 115

Not sure if you will see this but… is there a setting to make the flight sticks less sensitive? On Mini 4 - it feels like a barely move the sticks and it takes off - using normal mode. I really hope you reply. New Subscriber here.

Tried following this on my Mini 3 (non pro) and for some reason the expo box is there for normal and sport but not for cine.
My drones settings only let me go down too 3.6 in “max horizontal speed and ascent/descent

Hey, do you know, why I experience some jittery movements when flying WayPoints with the Mavic 3 Pro in the 3x or 7x lens? How do I fix that? It’s not the framerate or something like that, the drone just makes „unsmooth“ movements which you can clearly see in the footage later on… Many thanks in advance!
Was it windy? You might see micro jitters , bad memory card ? What frame rate ? Does it match your edit export ?
@@DMProductions As I already said, framerate is not the trigger, the drone itself makes these movements. I will try contacting DJI, maybe my model is at fault

Hello. I am going to buy your luts but could you explain why I need to convert from D-Log M to Rec 709? Can't I just apply any of your lut to my D-Log M footage without any converting? I am confused. Thank you
sure you can use the luts on any D-Log M clip. You might want to convert as you can convert a D-Log M clip to rec 709 ..and then use the provided ( Normal colour / Rec 709 ) Luts. So you have more choice

Well this is a great idea, and just did that, works great! Thank you! THat was one of my worst issues. Have been working out an “Downward sensor error” issue that I haven’t heard back from DJI ability. Cleaned the lenses, did update, went away but comes back. Thanks for your help on the Cinematic though!🙏

Just a note, you can move the gimbal slowly with the default settings, you just have to use small movements on the rocker, you certainly don't have to move t he max speed all the way down, then you have no access to quicker gimbal movements and won't be able to track some rises/ascents.
Also, the gimbal smoothness setting adds an acceleration curve to the gimbal movement that you can do yourself with practice, but it also means that there will be an lag between your movement input and the actual speed of the movement, in the end you have less control of your camera movements that can be achieved with practice. Most of my flights are not shooting, they are practicing for the shooting flights.
Iv just brought a mini 3 pro off eBay it’s saying it’s binded to the last persons account and have had no response back is there anything I can do about it wipe it or what features will I loose with it being bonded to another account

Good Afternoon about 2-3 months ago I purchased mini 4 pro cheats and luts. I was very happy with the information I received with the Download. But I never received the cards .
It’s a digital download so you get the cheat sheets and luts emailed to you straight after purchase

There is one setting that we need to alter that we all forget about and that is the zoom setting speed and buffering .come on DJI give us an update to control this,it cant be that difficult...
I paid for paper cheat sheets got a download but I can't download. And I paid for hard sheets help make it right not happy

All these settings are great BUT, my Air 3 is now a paper weight. I have been flying it for the last 6 months (When I bought it) with no issues. Yesterday I went to fly it, but the controller says at the top "Account Not Logged In". It doesn't recognize my pass word that I have had ever sense I bought my P4 Pro Plus. And I haven't been able to reset my password. I really enjoy using the Air 3, but if I can't fly it, screw it. I'll sell it and buy something I can fly without being a computer wizz.
Also, put obstacle avoidance to "brake" or completely turn it off otherwise these settings for the flight characteristics won't work as intended
Hey Darren. I appreciate what you do. But seriously, we need a method to slow down, to change Expo on ZOOM. It remains an absolute mystery to me why DJI gives us advanced control over nearly every aspect of our drone's movements, yet nothing at all for zoom. It starts too abruptly, stops too abruptly, and offers no method of control. Get on the horn to DJI and put the fix in, willya? This nonsense has gone on way too long.

I wouldn't say these are the ultimate setting for DJI. What I would say is to know what it is you desire to do with your drone camera. Practice doing what it is you're trying to achieve with your drone camera and get proficient at it. These things are just a tool, tools can be adjusted to fit the application. Don't be a robot sheepole.
