Mike You had me scared you were going to get rid of Duke after all the work you just put into him!!!! But you now have him pretty spanking good looking and running! Now you need to get back to the cabovers!! Smokey needs lots of work Kenny bless him needs you to make him better! Remember he's your first Baby! Gussy him up in the paint job and long frame he should be!! Keep up the Great Work on the gang. Craig in Juneau
Yep you betcha, Duke is good enough I could pin onto a trailer and haul one of the Cabovers if needed now. We are going to use him to move dad's stuff that he has stored in a 45' van trailer. Maybe I could use it for Kenny one day.

Nice to do little jobs to keep Duke looking good. Love the channel. Keep it up. Wish we had more US style trucks in the UK. We have a few but they are super rare.
If that squirrel gage is out of true with just spinning your finger you should see it under power lol , probably been bent being previously removed and forced at some point which you must not do fitting the new one , probably got removed cause the resistor pack broken and they removed it thinking it was faulty motor
Hey Mike need to put some lights under the Chrome strips and I would make them red cuz that's your favorite color okay this is Bob from Vero Beach Florida God bless stay safe God bless and stay safe and have a great great day
I just replaced the motor and plastic squirrel cage in my F350, the new squirrel cage is so out of true i have to replace it again, sounds just like yours, there is an option for a metal one so i will be able to bend it straight if i have to.
ya might as well cut the hole for the " faux" air cleaner. because the paint is going to get fretted (if that's a word) off from vibrations where the ring touches the paint! it could still be fake, just ready for the inner plumbing! check out Ezrider359 - he did a video of adding a second (real) air cleaner to his rig! keep the awesome videos coming!
One trick I was taught with removing stubborn screws is to tighten them ever so slightly first then try and loosen them. Surprising how often it works and less chance of breaking the head off.
Mike, forget about Smokey! Both Kenny and K2 need to be fixed first. Anything that has fire damage usually has more problems that usually not seen. Fix the old school K100s (Kenny and K2) and burn Smokey! Make the 1994 trash truck aka Smokey, your parts truck..
I don't think it will be to bad they are still making paper and will be starting another line in the future apparently. Talking with a customer that hauls for them says they still need his six trucks.
@@mikethetrucknut very few mills left out there or anywhere for that matter ..last thing we need is another kick to the economy ...besides we would all miss that wonderful scent in the air
Nice to see they put a mouse excluder under the shifter boot. Thanks for a good post. Take care.

Hello Mike. The duke come closer and closer. Love to see your doing ( much talking) 😂😂
I really enjoy watching your channel it's of life for me I drive for a living and I enjoy it keep up the good work
Duke is one of my favourite trucks on UA-cam 😎👍
Thanks, he's not as popular as a cab over but I sure like him too.

The truck is getting better and better .you do good work enjoy the content always looking forward to the next video
mike, i like how you threaded them air "wires" through the shifter boot.
Nice too see Mike keeping jb weld employees in business 👍
Great video Mike glad Duke is coming along nicely. Looking forward to your next video stay safe Mike.
Thanks 👍
nope did it ina rest stop out side of Kansas city on I70 to fix one of the two squiral cages

I had a beer company in Germany that wanted to order a new 389 and then the world went stupid.
thanks Michael. Have a great day
Enjoying the vlog Mike keep up the good work, and the humour Paul Manchester UK
Mikey!...no puke duke is lookin the goods mate....shiny wheels some stripes and he will be a million bucks love from Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺
always fun too watch !
Thanks Hubert
Mike, how about a couple of aerosol cans of Bedliner spray for those nasty-looking fender wells.
Yeah I need to do some fiberglass work to the drivers side at the bottom of the fender first

He's looking good, once you get the frame painted, he'll be really nice.

See if it needs to be shimmed out. I think as the seal squished out over time the squirrel cage sits deeper and hits easier
Whats the end game with all your trucks sell, haul, or sit and rot?

Do u have any plans on buying any trailers to go behind any of your trucks?
Yeah looking for an affordable step deck
a little heat and 3 or 4 love taps brakes the screws free
Mike its the little things that stand out tim from long island
Good Morning Mike. You didn't buy a chrome Peterbilt shifter boot plate?
Not yet, lots of $ going out lately and I have a cabover to get running soon 😊
Would it be a option to put better looking door panels on like the 379 r 389 lol loving the videos God bless
Eventually
Now that Duke is all fixed and running you should rename him Iron Duke , food for thought
Andrea Named him Duke Caboom a toy story character that was like Evil Kenivel. Lol
@@mikethetrucknut Besides, Iron Duke was the KW K100 in the movie "High-Ballin".
@@stansdds and thats Twin Sticks trucks name.
Any plans to move the fuel tanks back and add a couple of battery boxes? Old Duke would look the goods then
I may Ha e acquired a couple tool boxs 👍
Putting some stank on the transmission lines. Lol
What motor oil would you recommend to use in a caterpillar motor
I've always liked chevron dello 400 15/40
What about the shell rotella motor oil 15w-40
@@traincndr1 shell is good oil

Just need some nice polished wheels on the front of him now!!!
Heck yeah
I still think the steelies would look cool painted silver with a heavy coat of lacquer and some chrome embellishments 👍
Some 379 headlights would look stunning too
In all that time in the first 8 minutes of talk you could have turned the air can bracket around that I pointed out. Details!!!!!! 😂😂😂
But I still hadn't noticed yet 😂
Peterbilt Mike hope you can get That Heater in Duke Fixed Billy Lizza Uniontown pa USA
👊😎
you were talking about the jake breaks i always heard you can just run with them on is thart true
Yeah they have micro switches so as soon as you lift your foot on the throttle they come on and if you touch the clutch they go off.
@@mikethetrucknut awww ok thank you mike god bless buddy
Keep Duke white and chrome, no stripes and change the orange lights to clear lenses
As Mark from twinstick says....less talking and more work. Lol
Yeah 🤦♂️ that's why I need to talk while I work 🙂
Dude needs some chrome bezel gauges

Yeah I did that too...
Hey buddy
A K/W you can get to heater motor from under the hood.
Yeah but you have to pull intake tube off
So when will you start working on Kenny again? Or is it destined for the scrap yard?
Not sure but Kenny is never going to the scrap yard
😎👍
Once you get the stainless bolts repaint the tranny floor plate
If we didn't want to see what your doing then your head mount is working perfectly! Just sayin LOL
🤦♂️
Just some playful teasing, love your channel and your personality, keep em coming!
How are you doing Mike when are you going put gear box in stubby Mike
Probably this summer
How about polished aluminum wheels…
Hi Mike you should get a hot set done on duke
Okay, would that get rid of the bit of smoking when cold do you think?
Possibly but it would just make sure everything is adjusted correctly with the valves and jakes
@@mickcarroll358 yeah, I should ask what the guys would charge me. Would be nice to have the pros check my work
