Whenever I feel depressed and sick of todays news and other nonsense I use UA-cam to transport me back in time so that I can relive memories of happier times. Thanks for the upload.
I remembered the Holsten Pils, Hamlet, Barclay's and Monterez adverts almost verbatim straight away can't believe its almost 40 years ago. This video brought tears to my eyes they were happy days that I miss so much.
I remember some of these old adverts. I watched a lot of them as a child growing up.
I love watching TV commercials from this era. They are soft, well spoken, not rushed, not in your face, relaxing, warm and comforting adverts. They seem less *cold* than adverts today which are hard, common (some times more ghetto sounding due to diversity quotas)) fast paced, slap bang wallop editing, in your face, tense, rushed and as a result just so so *cold* just like today's world. So I switch these on for some comfort and reassurance.
*"More ghetto sounding?"* What!???
Wow, remember some of these ads like I saw them yesterday. Closest thing to going back in time.
A Filofax - we all had those in those long ago days before the smartphone.
Some of us still use one!
This is actually 1988, and the 'Chakra' intro is Sunday 3rd July that year.
I was only 6 in 1987 what fab memories
😂😂😂😂Opal fruits not starburst 🤛who else remembers the seacat boat that used to sail ❤️
Filofax are bloody expensive nowadays!! Would be worth opening the count just to get one!
Thanks, after seeing this, I watched some Daft Punk stuff and the Rondo Veniziano stuff. There's a remarkable similarity between Rondo Veniziano's La Serinissima and the Daft Punk song 'Veridis Quo' (which I love and always wondered what it reminded me of) they don't sound like each other but have a similar vibe.
the director of chakra died at 33... ... its only been the lasyt 10 years i became aware that these biblical numbers are used movies films, and most Tv news...
I see what you mean. Well spotted.
Ross foods if It don’t move quick enough we got yer stir fry covered
❤d Kellogg's raisin splitz👌
Tamara Wiggall vile raisins in yer breakfast how very dare you
Repulsive🤮😡🤮
17:09 every generation gets this "kids these days don't know how lucky they are" when they grown up says the same thing about the next generation. 😂
YOU SOUND LIKE YOUR JUST DOWN THE ROAD,THATS COS I AM MRS MIGGINS CHRIS TATE FROM EMMERDALE IN THE BELISTO AD
Ear that guy advertising Walkers bears a certain resemblance to Walkers then-future ad star Gary Lineker! Also isn't that Doc Martin's Mrs Tishell in the Vauxhall advert?
it's John Michie, of Taggart and Holby City fame.
Rondo Veneziano at 7:04: Prototype Daft Punk?
1:16 "Die, DIE!"
LMAO
Balisto. That didn't last very long. And that Renault 25 - was that what a desirable car looked liked back then? Gosh.
Ahhhh... The days before box ticking and woke.
Yes but
Double glazing is the worst invention- does NOT LAST forever or even less than 20 years. I’d rather keep my single glazed sash windows that are 127 years old this year (2019). Go away Everest and all the double glazing companies looking to ruin houses with cheap made windows for our money
